9.3 Sharing Heart with God

And now we come to the great Treasure, to the only thing we desire, to our final and everlasting goal – to share Hheart with our Father, to have Father’s Heart, planted right here inside our own chest.
To share Hheart with God. To be the embodiment and the expression of Father’s deepest desire, the greatest value inside of Himself.
The love of God has [already] been poured out [has been shed abroad] inside of our hearts through the Holy Spirit, the One having been given to us (Romans 5:5). You already share Hheart with God, the question is, how do you know such a wondrous and impossible thing?
Custom-Made. Your knowing of such a thing happens ONLY between you and Father. There is nothing I can do for you in that regard. But I can do two things for you. I can give you the background of your possession of such a mind-boggling Treasure. And I can suggest a practical expression of sharing heart with Father.
I have found Me a man (or a woman) after My own Heart. – Let it be to me according to Your word. – Let it be to you according to your faith. First, if you are filled with all the fulness of God, that must include the Father’s Heart. And if you are custom-made to fit God, then your heart was specifically designed by God to contain and to reveal His own Heart.
Agreement of Heart. Yet Father’s Heart inside of your heart is something that CANNOT be created. God cannot make it so, that is, cause you to know such a thing, just by speaking a word. The agreement of Heart with heart comes only inside of a furnace of affliction and through a valley of tears.
Have you known agony in your life? Have you wept in the deepest of sorrows? Have you staggered in bottomless confusion? Then you are most definitely a candidate for knowing this most valuable of all values, sharing Heart with Father, if you are willing to know Father alone.
Being blessed forever is for everyone but living inside of and as Father’s Heart is only for those who will not have anything else.
The Only Thing Important. There is ONE THING ONLY of any meaning or importance going on ANYWHERE in this world. And that one thing is the shaping of the human heart to contain and to reveal the Heart of God All-Carrying.
And the heart of every individual person on this planet is either shrinking away from or growing towards Father’s Heart through their own choices and wants and actions. What goes on in people’s heads has no meaning, either to God, or, ultimately to them. Here is a billionaire who has clawed his way to the top. Here is a Down Syndrome woman who loves every person with the joy of Jesus upon her face. The first will be tiny forever, the second, with her full mind restored, will be as large as the brightest of stars.
God All-Carrying. You have seen the description of God All-Carrying. [Love – Father] covers all [for all], believes all [for all], hopes all [for all], carries all [for all]. Love [Father] never fails (1 Corinthians 13:7-8).
John places this same Love inside of you and you inside of Him. And we have come to know and have come to believe the love that God has inside of us. God is love, and the [one] living inside of love, lives inside of God, and God lives inside of him. In this love has been perfected, brought to full completion fused together with us, that we might have boldness to speak [Christ our life] inside the [to]day of judgment, that just exactly as He is, so also are we in this present world (1 John 4:15-17).
Love Inside of Them. But Jesus makes this most incredible statement, in some ways the most wondrous statement in the Bible. I have made known to them Your name and will make it known, that the love with which You loved Me, might be inside of them, and I inside of them (John 17:26).
Jesus is the Father’s Heart. And Jesus lives in your heart. You already share Hheart with God. Now, you need to know that it is true.
Before you turned around inside the Holiest and sat down upon the Mercy Seat together with the Lord Jesus, as you entered, step by step into the knowledge of God’s Salvation, you had to learn never to approach God with your own human performance, actions, or abilities, but only through Jesus.
From Here on Out. Now that you have accepted, not just your full union with Christ, that your flesh IS His flesh, but also your full connection with Father and now that you have turned around inside of God, things are slightly different. From here on out, everything you are and do is you and Father together.
I want to introduce you, now, to a way of thinking inside this togetherness with Father, this synergeia, as Paul puts it, that we will develop rapidly through the remainder of this short book. Through your faith and confidence in Father merged together with Father’s faith and confidence in you, Christ as you, Christ your only life, you and Father do everything as one Pperson together.
Speak Good Grace. And the first place you must start in this wondrous new way of thinking and living, is the exact same place wherein Adam turned away from this same thing. Giving thanks.
Except, we discover something about the word translated as “Give thanks” in most versions of the Bible. It is the word “eucharist,” eu (good) – charis (grace), and it really means to speak good grace. And so, when Paul said, “Give thanks FOR all things,” he was really saying, “Speak good grace into and for the sake of everything.”
You and Father together are making all things good.
Practice the Mercy Seat. You and Father together are making all things good. In the next three chapters, you will learn a great increase of what this statement actually means.
In the remainder of this chapter, however, are two vital things for your knowing of what it means to share Hheart with God. One of those things is your habitual practice of being the Mercy Seat, Father’s Heart, the Salvation of Jesus, now expressed through your every thought and breath.
I have included an “assignment” titled “Practice the Mercy Seat.” If you truly desire to know Jesus as He is, take this assignment most seriously. Practice it; make it the habit of your life.
The Ruling Verses of Love. Here is how Paul said it, “Pray without ceasing. Speak good grace inside of everything, this for the desire of God inside of Christ Jesus [sent] into you” (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18). As you practice being the Mercy Seat as the Lord Jesus Himself sharing all things with you, so you will learn to know what sharing Hheart with God really is.
The second thing we must do is to briefly return to the critical and ruling verses regarding Love. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends (John 15:12-13). – By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren (1 John 3:16).
Connected with Jesus. Here are those same verses in the Jesus Secret Version.
This is My commandment, that you love one another [equally reciprocal, continuously back and forth], just exactly as I love you. Greater love has no one than this, that he should lay down [place, establish, set forth] his soul for his friends. – By this we have known love, because He set forth his soul, His story of self, for us, for our sakes {the word includes the concept of a trade, story for story, life for life}; and we also are committed to setting forth our souls [laying down our lives] for the sake of our brothers and sisters.
For nine chapters, I have connected you, as an individual person, with the Lord Jesus by the Spirit, and through Jesus, together with the Father, and that is as it must begin.
The Heart of Jesus. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out (John 10:3).
Christ begins as every Word God speaks sent forth from the Father into your heart. And there, inside of you, that same Jesus, as every Word, becomes your only life, living now as you, an individual person, in all things forever.
That’s where it must begin. But it is not where it ends. For here is the earnest heart-throb and COMMAND of the One who fills your heart with all of His glory. LOVE ONE ANOTHER – in exactly the same way that I love you. This same Jesus, utterly one with you, now, and as you, lays down His/your life for the sake of those who belong to Him.
Love Them. Let’s keep one thing clear, right off the bat. You are absolutely and utterly INCAPABLE of loving anyone. God alone is Love. If there is to be Love, there must first be God. And for you to know that Love in practical everyday expression, you must walk together as one person with Father, in full confidence that He IS sharing all things with you, regardless.
You must know sharing Hheart with God.
And as you share Hheart with your Father, you look out from that Hheart, and you see, all around you, your brothers and sisters in Christ, and you hear these words, Jesus fulfilled inside of you. “Love them, love them, love them, as I am love in you.”
The Points of Love. Here are the points of love, of being the Mercy Seat for others, of sharing Hheart with God.
25. The essence and meaning of God is Love. Know Father’s Love; live inside of His Love in all confidence; be as you are already, the expression of that Love.
26. God is travail through you, carrying all things inside Himself, laboring with you over all for their sakes, seeing with you all things good, bearing with you the cost of love, bringing forth His knowledge through you, that all might know Him.
27. As believers love one another, so they share Hheart with God. Know that you are the Mercy Seat of God, practice being that Mercy Seat, love one another out from your shared Hheart with Father, that is, the Lord Jesus Christ.
