Tabernacle Teaching

The writer of Hebrews places the argument of this entire letter and the gospel of Jesus Christ upon the pattern set by God as Moses’ Tabernacle in the wilderness. In fact, all of the gospel writers did the same. The gospel cannot be known by any other means than by this organizational pattern clearly set in place by God.

See that you make all things according to the pattern shown to you in the mountain.

It is imperative, then, that we know God’s Tabernacle Pattern and how the verses of the New Testament find their place in the ongoing experience of our lives as ordered by this pattern. More than that, the New Testament gives us all that is needed to understand all God’s meanings.

God’s pattern of the Tabernacle - see that you make all things according to the pattern - is our path into the full knowledge of God in the Holiest. Each step along the path, each piece of furniture, corresponds to specific New Testament verses and is intended by God as a place of learning for us that we might know Him as our only life.

Through this path into His knowledge, God has a season of time for us in each place of knowing Him. What God never intends, however, is for any to refuse to carry on into the completion of the fullness of Christ in them, but to end their knowing of God in any convenient place along the path. For this reason, we are always eager to go on to perfection, to the full knowledge of God with us.
