About Daniel Yordy

As of this year, 2020, I am now writing my autobiography. As of July, I am about 2/3 of the way through. This is a lengthy process, because there is so much pain. BUT - as I am placing the Lord Jesus upon every moment of my life and seeing me only inside of Him all the way through, I am experiencing miracle after miracle as all the hurt of my life is transformed into blessing and joy forever.

You will find the rough drafts of all the chapters written thus far in the column on the right, or by following this link to Prepare a Path.

Meanwhile, I have below my earlier presentations of my life story.

Daniel Yordy grew up in the Mennonite church and in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. At the age of twenty, he followed his heart into the Canadian wilderness of northern British Columbia where he committed himself to a Christian fellowship known as the move of God and to eighteen years of living in the context of intentional Spirit-filled Christian community.

Although Daniel left that fellowship with his family in 1998, he remained committed to the vision of the revelation of Jesus Christ birthed in his heart through his years in community. In 2006, he heard a word he had not considered before: "Speak what God says you are." Since God says that we are just like Jesus as we see Him as He really is, Daniel again committed his heart and life to know the furthest extent of what God means by what He speaks, and by speaking what God speaks, to call those things that be not as though they are.

Daniel Yordy has obtained a Master's Degree in Education and is by present trade a teacher of English and of writing. At the age of 53, Daniel realized that he has lived inside the autism spectrum all of his life, in a portion of that spectrum known as Asperger's syndrome. That condition brings difficulty, yes, but also a particular ability, the ability to see patterns others may miss.

And so, with a determined but humble heart, he offers to you the things God has taught him through 39 years of longing to know the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart and through many tears inside the probing dealings of a holy God.

My Father, in His design of me flowing out from His Pro-Knowing, fashioned me with several specific gifts, as well as with a strong disibility, one among many, as He does with all. Human disbility is entirely of God, for how would we need God and one another otherwise.

One of my abilities is a love of writing. You will find a whole lot of writing on this website. Yet I write one thing only, the revelation of Jesus Christ through His Church now upon this earth, that is, the Gospel of Salvation made visible in these last days through us. If I bring in other topics, they serve only to support that one focus of this website.

Another of my abilities is known as Asperger's, that is, high-performing austism. By that gift from God, I am able to focus on what is most important to me, knowing God through Scripture, and to see all the wondrous patterns God has woven all through His Word.

Asperger's also carries my larger disability and that is that I do not have any ability to gather people together, even for a home fellowship, to make things happen, to connect socially with people in any dynamic way. If I were to fellowship with you in your home, you would think otherwise, but there is a huge difference between connecting personally in fellowship and those qualities required to make general ministry happen.

And so this website and ministry is mostly just me, writing on my computer in the early morning hours, and sending out what I write to a small list of email subscribers scattered all across the planet.

Yet I am also a builder and designer of homes, having worked in that capacity for many years building Christian community. I am also a teacher, loving and excelling in the classroom. Although I have taught many subjects over the years, teaching writing is what I do best. Those two arenas, the building site and the classroom, for some reason, give me a "place" where I can move freely and with confidence in spite of the limitations of Asperger's. Outside of that place, I am all thumbs when it comes to connecting socially.

Yet I love Christian Community, the gathering together of God's precious people. Yet I have no ability whatsoever to make it happen.

In the pages below, I include a brief account of my life, now expanded in my present writing as Prepare a Path.

Index of My History

Here is an index connecting you with many different articles on this website inside of which I give mention of some aspect or occasion of my life story. I am much like Paul, in that I find myself unable to talk about Christ without also talking about myself, nor am I able to talk about myself without also talking about Christ. If it isn't personal, it can't be Jesus. This index thus far includes only my first few books.
