A Current Account of My Writing

© 2018 Christ Revealed Bible Institute

I would like to give a brief description of my present writing for those interested in further study. Almost everything I have written from 2006 on can be found on my website at www.christrevealed.info, along with links to my books on Amazon and audio recordings of each chapter.

Except for my continual expression of faith in Christ my only life, I have made only one claim concerning myself. That one claim is that I have found all I have ever sought. I have found a continual and real fellowship with Father inside my heart, a fellowship that comes every moment through the One whom I love, the Lord Jesus Christ, upon whose breast I ever lean my head, the One who, in every difficulty of my life carries me all the way through.

Knowing the Lord Jesus. In all that I write, I write out from the New Testament and out from the immediate joy of knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. It is my hope that my words serve one purpose – to connect you with Jesus and Jesus with you. If that happens, then your joy is my reward. But if it does not happen, that is also fine, for I know that Jesus alone is your Savior and your Salvation, and He knows exactly what He is doing in and as you.

In the summer of 2006, I attended with my wife the big mega-church in Houston. I found quite the opposite of what I had expected. I found the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the kindness and favor of God. Probably within the second or third service of our attendance at Lakewood, I heard Pastor Joel Osteen say: “Speak what God says you are.”

A Great Light. Pastor Joel’s words were a great light turning on inside of me. I rushed home to pull out my Bible and begin writing out every verse in the New Testament that somehow fits the concept of God speaking what I am. Since John said that we do NOT know what we are, I used the only pattern we have to hear God speak what it is we ARE – the Lord Jesus Christ – for John says we will be just like Him.

I was overwhelmed by the things I was writing. And the greatest of all were these words from Colossians 3, “Christ is all there is in me.” And so I had the material for my first book, The Jesus Secret, the bulk of which I cobbled together in the fall of 2006, not completing it entirely until sometime in 2007.

(1.) The Jesus Secret – written from September 2006 through August 2007. This book is simply turning verses from the New Testament into statements of faith which we can speak. Our right to do that is based upon the covenant we signed with God, that we are just like Jesus as He is. Thus we have the right to call those things that do not appear as though they ARE (Romans 4).

I wrote The Jesus Secret from all the things stored up in my heart over many years, all the word spoken into me, all the drinking of the Bible into myself, but I also wrote it from present experiences, for the Word God speaks is always personal to each one of us in the present moment.
The Bible is just a bunch of ideas until it becomes personal as Christ Jesus inside of you.

Fleeing into Union. The anointing to write The Jesus Secret paused when I had completed Matthew through 2 Corinthians, and though I have wanted to write a second volume, Galatians through Revelation, I have only begun to do so now, in the spring of 2019. I realize now that it was the first confession of faith in Galatians – I am rooted in Paul’s gospel – that shut me down. I did not know what Paul’s gospel was!

Having immersed myself in the speaking of Christ, in February of 2008, as I was hiding in Jesus from a brother pounding Old Testament theology into the children in the Christian school where I taught, something more incredible than all other experiences of my life happened to me. – “I” disappeared, and Christ Jesus became the only life I knew.

Christ Our Life. In great excitement, I sought out websites that taught union with Christ and began to read, particularly from Fred Pruitt. From that time, for nine months, I spoke, “Christ is my life; I have no other life,” moment by moment, against every wailing cry of accusation that hurled itself against me. Meanwhile, people were signing up to receive my newsletter, Christ Our Life, which had not yet begun.

In November of 2008, the intense attack of the accuser faded away, and God released me to send out my first Christ Our Life letter, “Faith Is Christ Made Personal in Us.” Once released, the flow could not stop, nor even slow down. I write because I must. I don't write because God told me to write. I don't write because I think I should. I write because I must. – I must know Him – and thus I must write.

Turning Letters into Books. I am so thankful to God for the Internet, for how else could I find precious believers in Jesus scattered all over the world, into whom I could pour the river of love for Jesus in all the speaking of God flowing out of me.

Although I think in patterns and thus write in some sort of “series,” yet prior to writing the first part of The Kingdom Rising in the fall of 2011, my “series” were much more scattered as I bounced around, trying to fit the whole spectrum of what God says into place here and there.

In 2012 I began the task of turning my scattered series into solid and thematic books. In fact, The Kingdom Rising was the first of my books to appear on Amazon in August of 2012. My earlier writings I cobbled together into books soon after.

(2.) Our Path Home – spoken first and then written, from February 2007 through November 2010.

This larger book contains three series which I first spoke into audio, and then merged them together with my earliest Christ Our Life letters. The first portion attempts to place the first four most important verses in the Bible as the definition of the gospel and of salvation. The second attempts to define what being “born again” means. The third explores what it means to become like Jesus. Along with The Jesus Secret, these three series in one book are the first path into what I teach, though I did not see Christ then as clearly as I see Him now.

(3.) The Great Story of God – a portion written in spring of 2002, then November 2009 through May 2011.

Approaching God as story is my favorite way of knowing Him. I had this title since the early 1990's and always wanted it to be a grand book. It's not, just a little thing, but most precious to me of all my earlier books. Into this book I wove the story of my first experience with Christian community at Graham River Farm in British Columbia, things I had actually written in 2002. In it is the beginnings of the most important truth I teach, “Christ Planted in the Earth,” the forerunner of Gethsemane and the Mercy Seat, the source of our sharing of Hheart with God and the reality that we are flesh of His flesh.

(4.) The Unveiling – written from January 2010 through June 2011.

This also is a title I had from the early 90’s. You see, I have always wanted to write a “systematic theology” (I am a human created in the likeness of God, after all), yet I have not known God as I must before any such thing could ever be true. In this volume is found two series, my first attempt at unfolding the book of Revelation in its fulfillment through us in the present day, and my first attempt at “Union with Christ,” which is actually an expansion of my earlier series, “What Is Man,” in an attempt to further define what it means to be born again.

(5.) Gathering to Life – written from June 2010 through February 2013.

The letters in this volume include an earlier series, “The Life of the Age to Come,” condensed enormously and combined together with all the letters I had written on the community of Christ. Also, I wrote The Kingdom Rising and The Covenant before I came back to finish this volume. This book introduces my commitment to Christian Community.

These first five volumes are my path into knowing our union with Christ combined with the revelation of Christ through us. In the fall of 2011, then, I received an email pushing the “above-you” Christ at me and thus I turned utterly into my Father that I might know Him as He really is. In October of 2011, God changed my definition of “God.”

(6.) The Kingdom Rising – written from October 2011 through July 2012.

The great importance of this book is that, if I am successful, reading it will change your definition of God. Your definition of God MUST change. Augustine's definition must be shattered all through the core of your thinking, and Father must arise inside of you. The Kingdom of God CANNOT be defined by human and earthly kings and kingdoms. Human kings are metaphors of Satan, the “prince” of this world. God's kingdom is something entirely different. God's kingdom is Father walking this earth just being Himself.

(7.) The Covenant – written (mostly) from May 2012 through December 2012.

I began this series with a desire to know the Covenant we signed together with God more clearly. I based that study on combining the walk of Jesus through the path of the atonement together with the development of our knowledge of God as portrayed by Moses' tabernacle in the wilderness. At the same time, the most important verses in the Bible inform our knowledge of the Covenant. It was in writing this book that the reality and meaning of the Mercy Seat of God, our hearts, first became known to me.

(8.) The Ten Most Important Verses in the Bible – written February through March 2013.

My intention was that this little volume would serve as the introductory book for what I teach, although I have written other “introductory” books since. I had written out eight most important verses that I inserted into Our Path Home in earlier letters. But my first attempt was not satisfactory. Because of the importance to me of making the truth as simple and clear and connected as I can, I spent much time crafting and re-crafting the pages of The Ten Most Important Verses. In fact, I re-wrote and added to it several times including placing this account at the end. Now when I read it, it seems seamless and deeply anointed to me.

Ruling Assumptions. Our knowledge and relationship with God is based on what He says in the Covenant He signed together with us. BUT – as I said earlier, we define everything by base assumptions that are largely unknown to us, and most of the base assumptions most Christians hold, by which they define everything else God says, are NOT these ruling verses, but rather things God does not say. It is my intention and desire to see these ten “verses” become, not just nice ideas, but the defining base assumptions inside of each reader that undergird and rule over all other thinking and all other reading of the Bible.

Of truth, the Symmorphy texts, in the end, are simply a continuous study at ever deeper levels and ever wider applications of these ten most important verses.

(9.) Through Eyes of Fire – written February 2013 through October 2013.

I have spent more time writing out word studies of the book of Revelation than any other portion of the Bible. Yet in my twenties, God forbade me to “figure out” His word, but only to hide it in my heart. And so I did. Now, I take each word God speaks into my heart as Christ my only life and there I hold that word, allowing it to rest and then, to bring forth the life of Christ that is in it by the timing and hand of my Father.

Through Eyes of Fire is my first attempt to use the metaphors John saw in his vision to understand the closing out of this age of human folly as God really says. John's vision is NOT a reversion back to Old Testament thinking, but the truth of his gospel and letters in a third form.

(10.) The Two Gospels – written September 2013 through March 2014.

We can know God only as the base assumptions rooted in the bedrock of our thinking by Nicene Christianity and by reading the Bible apart from living inside of John 14:20, only as these assumptions are replaced with the definitions of God, of Jesus, of Salvation, and of ourselves as they are true in His word. This volume was my strongest attempt until then to show how Nicene Christianity is skewered and how the truth of the gospel is something entirely different. I do so by attempting a holistic definition of many specific things.

(11.) The Feast of Tabernacles – written March 2014 through September 2014.

The Feast of Tabernacles is the most important volume I wrote prior to the Symmorphy texts. In it I apply the feasts of Israel's religious year to the glorious truth of Christ revealed now through us. The gospel is built upon the fulfilment of these feasts in the life of the church as well as upon the layout of the Tabernacle in the wilderness. No one can comprehend the truth of the gospel apart from the structures of Feasts and Tabernacle BECAUSE the gospel of our redemption was so clearly written upon the structure of these two great patterns.

This is my favorite early book. The image of the crossing of the Jordan in all that it means so rules now my knowledge of Christ revealed through me, of the entrance of the knowledge of God into the experience of the universe.

(12.) Musings on Union – written October 2014 through January 2015.

This is the strongest series of letters I wrote prior to Symmorphy. This approach to union was a topic that grabbed hold of me, not I of it. I would not recommend this for new readers as it is meat for the mature who are already established in the revelation of Jesus Christ and in the bedrock thinking of the ten most important verses of the Bible. In this series I contend that union with the Lord Jesus Christ is for the purpose of Father walking this earth through us, of Father being revealed to and known by creation, through us, His body, the very flesh of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Tackling John 14:20. In that day you shall know that I am inside of the Father and you inside of Me and I inside of you.

At this point in my writing, I had begun to wrestle with the realization that other Persons are living inside of us, that is, Father and Son. This is not really a concept known or taught in Christianity except in very superficial ways. I wanted to know what God actually says about this mind-boggling reality for which we are created, what it means and how it works. But I was not sure how to approach such a study.

Then, since I am a teacher and since I want to teach the truth of Christ at the college level, I created the Christ Revealed Bible Institute website and began a first “course” which I titled “The Purpose of God.”

Writing to Teach. You will also notice a marked change in writing style. You will note that my books fall into two categories of purpose, writing to learn and writing to teach. Writing-to-learn is my typical rambling, following the wind where it blows, and includes all the books thus far. I don’t write because I know, but because I want to know.

Slowly, however, the Lord has convinced me that it is He who has taught me, and thus I see the need, as a classroom teacher, of a different approach to writing. The writing-to-teach volumes, starting with Symmorphy I: Purpose, then, are disciplined and ordered so that I might impart more carefully what Jesus is to the reader. Nonetheless, writing Symmorphy was the best stretch of this path for my own learning.

(13.) Symmorphy I: Purpose – written May 2015 through March 2016.

Only after writing the first few chapters of this text did the Lord show me what Paul’s invented word, symmorphos, has to mean – that Jesus shares our form with us and we with Him, sharing the same form. My title then changed to Symmorphy I: Purpose.

This text is an expanded study of the ten most important verses in the Bible. It was here that I first looked closely at the words and the meanings. In doing so, I realized that I had never really seen what these verses say, even though they had been shaping my knowledge of God for decades. Once anyone is introduced to what I share, then I would direct them to a study of this book, to be grounded in Jesus inside of them.

(14.) Symmorphy II: Essence – written March 2016 through October 2016.

Originally titled, “Essential Ruling Definitions,” this text is a redo and an expansion of The Two Gospels. In this volume, I explore the expanded definitions of key concepts of our reality, especially four primary things, God, man, Christ, and salvation. What is God? Everyone has an idea, but few know Father as He is. I do not present myself as one who “knows,” but as one who desires and writes so that Father might show Himself to us. In this text is also an expanded explanation of the fall into Roman darkness.

(15.) Symmorphy III: Kingdom – written April 2016 through April 2017.

This text is a redo and an expansion of The Kingdom Rising. It begins with a phrase by phrase exploration of Jesus’ prayer in John 17, by which words He spoke the Kingdom of God into existence. What is the kingdom? Whatever it is, it must be utterly different from the kingdoms of men in this world. I introduce, for the first time, the concept of a Tabernacles Church arising on this earth, millions of Spirit-filled believers rushing into all the fulness of Christ now in this age. We dare to believe that Jesus does what He is.

(16.) Knowing God by Scripture – written April 2017 through August 2017.

In writing Symmorphy III: Kingdom, I committed myself to writing a series of simplified and condensed versions of the things God has taught us. At this point, that smaller series consists of four volumes including an updated version of The Ten Most Important. I wrote this volume, Knowing God by Scripture, for my course on Hermeneutics and as a different approach to studying and interpreting the Bible than many practice. You will find in it a gentle layout of key concepts undergirding how we read and understand God’s word.

(17.) Symmorphy IV: Covenant – written April 2017 through November 2017.

This text is a redo and expansion of The Covenant. At this point in our walk with God, the Father is taking us into places of His knowledge we have never known. Of truth, along with Symmorphy V: Life, these two volumes are the most important that God has enabled me to write. In Symmorphy IV: Covenant, we walk with Father from the Holy of Holies out into the Church as the Ark of the Covenant, bringing the knowledge of God first to our brethren, and then to all creation. The Covenant that is Jesus is our binding and continuous relationship with God.

(18.) Symmorphy V: Life – written December 2017 through August 2018.

This text is a redo and expansion of Gathering to Life. This volume is the expression of all I have ever desired, a Christian Community birthed out of Christ our life. I wrote this volume as a manual for Christian Community, the Church, that is, Salvation, through the Age of Tabernacles. By combining the ten patterns of designing a home for Father with the ten most important verses, we see wondrous things about how successful Christian Community is the revelation of Jesus Christ. This book contains the deepest expressions of my heart and the primary purposes for which God expresses Himself through me.

Moving Forward from Symmorphy. Completing the five Symmorphy volumes was a great moment, having set forth all the Lord has put into my heart over many years so that at least a few can know the things God has written there. I feel so satisfied and completed that I have accomplished God’s purpose for this season of my life.

Nonetheless, it was clear to me that these five large educational tomes are too much, and that it was necessary for me to complete what I had set myself to do, and that is to simplify my present understanding of a complete and victorious gospel into two more short and carefully written books. Even while writing Symmorphy V: Life I saw two books, Knowing Jesus as He Is, a complete rendition of the gospel of Christ our life, and Set My People Free, an exploration of what blocks the gospel in the minds of our brethren.

(19.) Knowing Jesus as He Is – written from August 2018 through November 2018.

This short and disciplined book of twelve chapters is, in actually, a condensation and summation of what we learned in our journey through the five Symmorphy texts. Completing Symmorphy V: Life gave me the wondrous approach to writing this little book, and that is “Designed by Word,” God’s rules of Christian thinking.

This book uses the structure of Moses’ Tabernacle to take the reader from God’s purpose of being known by all, through personal salvation into the Holiest, and then as a victorious Church together, revealing God to all.

(20.) Designed by Word – written from November 2018 through January 2019.

After completing Knowing Jesus as He Is, I set before myself the task of writing Set My People Free, possibly the most important book I have written to wake people up to what God actually says in the Covenant we entered into with Him. Yet I had no idea how to frame that book. My first ideas seemed blocked. For that reason, I turned to my previous style of simply writing to learn in order to set out in front of us those things that must appear in Set My People Free. The result became this book, Designed by Word, which covers the same basic concepts, but is much more rambling. My purpose in writing it was successful, for I finally saw just how to frame the other text.

(21.) Set My People Free – written from January 2019 through May 2019.

This text is a sequel to Knowing Jesus as He Is and is written to the Christian who walks in all the life of Christ expressed in that book, and who desires to be effective through Christ for the sake of our brothers and sisters who seem unable to hear that Christ is their only life.

This is the hardest and most terrible thing I have written, for in seven of its twelve chapters, I set out the causes of human and angelic rebellion and how those same reasons of hostility against God persist today in what is considered “orthodox Christian theology.” This little book must be answered by any reader, either to fall on his or her face before God, or to reject all of it entirely.

(22.) The River of Life– written from January 2019 through – August 2019.

Writing Set My People Free was a much longer process than anything I have written thus far. While I was working through its difficulties, I had need to share other current things God was opening to me, specifically what we might mean by the expectation that millions of Spirit-filled believers in Jesus WILL enter into all that Christ is and means now inside this present age. Those letters slowly became focused on what a world of life might be and how the river of life flowing out of you and me brings forth that arising cosmos of life that swallows up this present cosmos of death. As I wrote this concurrently with Set My People Free, I found more “writing to learn” taking place that enabled me to continue in that more difficult task.

And Continuing. At the time of writing this layout, I have just completed Set My People Free and the end of The River of Life is in sight. It does not take long, once I have completed a text, to turn it into a printed book.

I have three other things I have been working on for some time that I would also like to bring to completion. I want to complete The Jesus Secret II and The Jesus Secret Version of the New Testament, as well as my autobiography, Prepare a Path.

I feel as if this completion would close out this present season of God through me. My hope would be, then, that any continuing writing after that will be a journal or account of the birthing of a specific Community of Christ of which I and my family are a part. I have other writing ambitions, but I think those must await the Age of Tabernacles.

(23.) The Jesus Secret II – written from April 2019 through – ?

Finally, I have found the approach and the anointing to complete the second half of The Jesus Secret. This book will include relevant portions of The Jesus Secret version and will be similar in some ways to the first half of The Jesus Secret. However, there will be significant differences as well.

The speaking of Christ that will unfold in this second volume will be at a level of the knowledge of God we just did not have when I was working on the first volume twelve years ago. The wonderful thing is that, in going back into rendering Galatians into the speaking of Christ, I finally have some idea of what “Paul’s gospel” really is.

(24.) The Jesus Secret Version – worked on from March 2018 through – ?

I began this task of rendering the actual Greek words into English part way through writing Symmorphy V: Life. The result overwhelmed, grieved, and astounded me. We have been robbed! The manner in which the Calvinist translators turned the meaning away from the clear Greek definitions and towards Nicene unbelief is appalling. The New Testament, free of those dark weights, simply sings with the revelation of Jesus Christ. All translation must be biased, that is bent in the direction of the translators’ world view. The small amount of “bending” I have done is always towards the ten ruling verses of the Bible. The large amount of bending done by the Calvinist translators is meant to drive Jesus far away.

(25.) Preapre a Path – first begun in 2001, then laid out as a book in November of 2016, then returned to in July 2019 – ?

I feel that it is important for me to set forth an account of my life, of the path upon which my Father has led me to reveal His Son in me. This is important both for my readers and for my children. Those who hear Jesus revealing Himself to them through what I share have a right to know from whence all this word might come. I make no religious claim concerning my life; though it has been both ordinary and extraordinary. Rather, I am overwhelmed with joy as Jesus has taught me to see His own story unfolding as my own story through every moment of my life.

(26.) Tabernacle Teaching - from October 2019 to June 2020, a teaching presented to a small group of each Sunday morning through Zoom.com. This study is a careful teaching on the layout of God's path for us into the knowledge of God by using God's chosen organizational pattern upon which the gospel was written, the Tabernacle of Moses in the wilderness.

(27.) A Highway for God - begun in January 2020 - ? An exploration of how God will show Himself through us His body transforming our world with the birthing of the Age of Tabernacles.

(28.) After My Own Heart - begun in June 2020, the continuation of the Sunday morning Zoom meetings, this time as a study of the many Old Testament people whose lives show us Christ.

Why so many Books? Because I like books. My house is filled with thousands of books, on bookshelves in most every room. Since Amazon makes it so easy, I'm just having a blast putting as many books as I can write out there into the public space.

I designed and built buildings of my design mostly because it was fun. I taught school and designed most of what I taught, including whole college curricula, because it was fun. I write and publish as many books as I can because it is so much fun.

With great agonies come also great joys, and I delight in so many things. Like my Father, nothing fills my heart with more happiness than to design and to create; nothing, that is, except you, to see you with Jesus as His revelation. And for that, I would lay down everything else, as my Father also does.
