B1. For Jerusalem's Sake
We are at war, and I intend to fight. These months from Passover to Tabernacles in the year of our Lord, 2025 are pivotal. All who would join with me, do so. We are where God has placed us; we do what He gives us to do. Yet there is upon us now such a consequence; the action of our faith from here forward will shake heaven and earth.
And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and the dragon and his angels fought back. But the devil did not have the strength, nor was a place found for them any longer inside of heaven. – And THEY overcame him. Michael and those with him fight only out from our faith.
A Word for Me. First, we no longer consider the world in which we live in terms of countries or governments or politicians. Rather, all of “the kings of the earth,” are “at war against the Lamb,” especially America. As I was contemplating the demonic and twisted press for war and mayhem pouring out from the kings of the earth, a line from Shakespeare kept going through my mind. “Cry havoc! And let slip the dogs of war.” (Marc Antony in Julius Caesar)
I thought I should be troubled by this line, but I was not. Suddenly I realized that I was the one for whom God intended that line in the present moment, and that it is Michael and his angels whom we are unleashing. Very quickly, Bible passages began to flow through my mind.
Our End Goal. War is only a means to an end. With the object and the end goal clear before our eyes, our strategies must prevail. The kings of the earth, all of whom have given themselves to the beast, in their strutting boastfulness and bloody deeds, are IRRELEVANT. We deny even their existence as kings, that it has no meaning. They cannot deter us for a moment, for we are ruthlessly single-minded.
– For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns. – You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth (Isaiah 62).
What I Want. As I began to pray regarding the release of the angels of war, these lines went through my mind in succession. From Revelation 7, “Do not harm… until the servants of God are sealed in their foreheads.” From Ezekiel 9, “Set your mark upon those who weep over Jerusalem.” Then from Revelation 5, “I wept loudly, because no one of sufficient value was found who could open the scroll.” Immediately, I was again in Revelation 6, engaged in the great deliverance service for the Church.
If I could ask for one thing, knowing that it would be, what one thing do I want? I want the Church as God means Church to be, both locally, all around me, and universally, all across the earth.
A Needed Ministry. I want the Church, local and universal, our Jerusalem, the habitation of God, clothed with the Lord Jesus Christ, arising everywhere upon the earth as Communities of Christ, the Praise and declaration of God, Jesus faithful and True. For such a Church, I fight.
To have such a Church requires a ministry that knows Jesus as He is, a ministry sealed into a pure Gospel. Revelation 6-7 are parallel chapters to Revelation 11-12, viewing the same thing from different perspectives. A ministry numbering “144,000” would be sufficient to lead 100 million or more, that is, a great multitude, into all the fulness of God among us. The first part of our task is to seal the ministries of Christ in their foreheads, that they might do what we cannot.
Contending with God, First. As a fore-runner, Moses engaged with God for Israel just as Jesus engaged with God upon the cross. We saw that the Song of Moses and the Song of the Lamb are the same. Let me put Moses’ reasoning into our present words. “God, You brought all these millions of people into Your Salvation. Will creation now say that You are unable to bring them into all the Life of Christ? Having brought them out, that You cannot now bring them in? Will creation say that Your Word, spoken into humans upon this earth, can be fulfilled only somewhere else and at some other time?”
We contend with God concerning His Word, a Word that must be fulfilled through the Church right here on this earth, right now in this age.
Contesting Heavenly Evil, Second. For the remaining time, be empowered and filled with strength inside of the Lord and inside of His mighty strength. Put on and enclothe yourself with the full armor of God in order to be able to stand against the methods and schemes of the devil [the one who accuses]. Because we are not wrestling or contesting against blood and flesh, but against the rulers and sources, against the authorities and influences, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against the spiritual evil in the heavenly realms. Because of this, take up the complete armor of God that you might be able to withstand and to set against in the evil day, and in having done all things, to stand (Ephesians 6:10-13).
We consider these words only as the mighty fulfillment and task now upon us. Today is the Day of the Lord.
The Entrance of Word. The seven pathways of power inside the heavens all around the Church are not “nice ideas.” They are the stuff of combat. It is as if our Commander is saying to us, “In front of you are seven hills occupied by evil. Contest those hills and take them, even at the cost of your own soul.” Nonetheless, the “hills” that is, the pathways of power and influence, are not our goal, our goal is the Church. What good is Victory of she is not able to receive it?
There MUST BE the entrance of a Pure Word into her, and that entrance must be through a ministry prepared. The Word comes first, the ministry second, and then the Church. This is the path of our fight.
“Stealing the Sheep.” In early 2016, after I had begun writing these Symmorphy texts, I had occasion to visit a small Christian community in northern Arkansas. The pastor had been recommended to me by a reader, but I had not known of him. I arrived Saturday evening, spent the night, and attended the Sunday service. Then, “the elders” came to speak to me. They had been “suspicious” of me right from the start, imagining that I had come to “steal their sheep.” It took the gentleness of the Lord through me to allay their fears.
I wasn’t “after the sheep,” I was after the heart of the pastor, that he might have a Pure Word by which to lead them himself into all the Life of Christ. Yet it was not the time; neither was the Word I carried complete.
You Have Not Passed This Way Before. The twelve tribes of Israel entering through the Jordan into the promised land is a critical picture to us now. Here is what Joshua said to them. “When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it. Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before” (Joshua 3:3-4).
The Ark of the Covenant and the scroll of Christ written upon the hearts of His people are two pictures of the same thing, not Christ “preached,” but Christ in the heart of each. God’s people and ministry do not know the Way to go.
They Must Humble Themselves. To be sealed in the forehead is utter surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ as the only Salvation and the active Savior. “Do not come near the Ark,” has a specific and critical meaning. Surrender to Jesus in all begins with “I AM WRONG!” We are considering tens of thousands of leading Christian ministries all across the earth who are, right now, convinced they are right, convinced that they can explain to you the meaning of the ark and the way into life. They are wrong, and their theology must remain behind with the cross. They must humble themselves.
The battleground, then, is the minds of thousands of Christian leaders, those who, in some way, weep over the Church.
“Follow Me.” The difficulty for Moses was that God sent him into Egypt to convince an entire nation of people to follow him out of Egypt and into the wilderness. Moses did not have that gift, but Aaron did. So Moses instructed Aaron, and Aaron spoke to the people. They believed and followed. (Exodus 4). Here is the same thing with Jesus. Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him (Matthew 4:19-20). I read recently a Catholic writer who said, “We know that the pope is the head of the church.” Yet that whole structure, and all others like it, is the slavery of Egypt. God sends us in the same way, the third time.
What Do We Do? Like Moses, we are incapable, and like Jesus, we carry a Pure Word, Jesus Himself already His Church. Yet neither she nor the ministries who lead her in the way know that He is. We do not tackle the demons; Michael and his angels do that. We do not teach the True Gospel to God’s people; a ministry sealed into Christ Jesus does that. We are not capable of convincing anyone of anything, especially thousands of Christian leaders who “know they are right.”
What is it, then, that we do? What is needed that sets the whole thing in motion? We believe God, and we give our Father the authority that He has placed inside our hearts, that God might have His way inside His Church, right here on this earth.
The Song of the Lamb. Here is what we do. And THEY defeated the accuser, the one who accuses their Christian brethren inside their own minds, by the Blood of the Lamb, by the word of their witness, and by not loving their souls even to the same giving to the Father as Jesus upon the cross, the only Sacrifice there is. They sing the Song of Moses and the Song of the Lamb.
“Use me, Oh God, for their sake. I give myself to You here and now inside the Day of Your Power. Let all my Christian brethren be joined with You, Father, here inside my heart.” To be like Jesus, to be like God, is to take your brothers and sisters in your heart into the very presence of God, that He might bring each one of them into all the Life of Christ.
Moses’ Secret. Consider Aaron, for he typifies the “144,000,” that is, leading Christian ministries alive today, those who will lead God’s people out of Nicene Christianity and into the Life of Christ. Aaron was capable of receiving all that Moses was into himself and then turning and being the outward authority of leadership that Moses lacked. Yet Aaron was just as capable of receiving the “cry of the people,” to make golden calves to “lead them.”
Why did God still make Aaron the High Priest? Moses gave the secret forty years later, in Deuteronomy 9:20. – “And the Lord was very angry with Aaron and would have destroyed him; so I prayed for Aaron also at the same time.” In the same way, we “pray” for all Christian leaders, those who, having taught falseness, MUST now teach a Pure Gospel.
Our Fight. This is our fight, that we prevail inside the Heart of God, now shared with us, for the sake of thousands of Christian leaders right now, that they would humble themselves to receive a Pure Gospel Word, a Word they have never known before. And that they might speak that Word to millions of Christians, that all might KNOW Jesus already Sent into them, Jesus as He is, now the only Life they are. And that all might run into committed life together, Jerusalem, a woman clothed with the Lord Jesus, bringing forth the knowledge of God into the knowledge of all.
This is our fight and the purpose of our lives. We KNOW that God our Father hears and answers us. We KNOW that we receive all that we ask.
