16.3 How Power Works

The meek shall inherit the earth (Matthew 5). – Sustaining all things by the Word of His power (Hebrews 1:3). Actual power works very differently from how humans perceive it now, during the Age of God’s Patience.

First, there are not two streams of power. The river of death is perception only. The flow of Life has never altered in reality. Rather, what the tree of death and the anointing of demons do is alter the perception of the human mind so that humans see God and call it false, and they see false and call it good. Thus we have not been given a task of “restoring the flow of the power of life,” for that would be absurd; Jesus already is. Rather, we are given that particular power to change people’s minds and how they see.

The Power Flowing Through. Now have come the salvation, the POWER, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ, because the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down (Revelation 12:10). Rivers of living water will flow out from your belly (John 7:38).

It is self-evident that we cannot alter how other people think and see, with power, unless our own thinking and seeing is purely out from God. This part of our task, then, is not to cause the power, but to KNOW the power. Then see that Salvation comes first, out from Salvation comes the POWER, and by the power comes the Kingdom. All of it is because of the authority of Jesus given to us, which has then cast down with power all false thinking and seeing.

The Pathway Itself. You will receive power after the Devoted Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses (Acts 1:8). – I will give to My two witnesses and they will prophesy (Revelation 11:3). – We have this Treasure in an earthen vessel, that the excellency of the power might be out from God and not out from us (2 Corinthians 4:7).

The pathway of all the Power of God is a path of tears, of stumbling in weakness, of believing all WORD fulfilled, in spite of blindness and in the face of all ferocious opposition. After 46 years of travail, after sixteen years of writing this present Word in all joy, that vision that entered into me out from God in October of 1978, a woman clothed with the sun, remains the defining light of all that I see.

The Interpretation of a Dream. As I was seeking to know how to write this lesson as well as how to write the section in Our Glorious Salvation given to the seven demons blinding the Church, God gave me a dream. In my dream there was such an impartation from Jesus into me and passing from me to others.

The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father; And I will love him and will appear in person and make Myself visible to him (John 14:21). “Visible” does not mean separate from us, for we are His form. Visible means the deepest knowing of Christ Jesus passing from one to the other. More than that, I knew that such a transfiguration of love, though it begins with those closest to us, also reaches out as the same marriage union with our local Church.

To Overcome. This is the victory that has overcome the world our faith. Who then is the one who overcomes the world, if not the one who believes that Jesus is the Son out from God? (1 John 5:4-5).

It would not be possible for me to give you a greater gift than what I have given, to lead you into knowing, not “Christ” but JESUS, personal and real, living inside of you, living as you, yes, but also living in sweet communion with you, sharing all. Jesus VISIBLE, that is KNOWN – through faith, must always come before Father at Home. Yet we have never fully reckoned with the eagerness inside of Jesus to impart Himself and His abilities to us.

Our FAITH that He is, is His FAITH coming upon us.

I Will Give. The missing ingredient in Christian thinking has always been Jesus Himself, Jesus in Person, giving Himself eagerly to us. This was the solution I needed for the seven demons in Our Glorious Salvation. They do not represent groups of theological points first; rather they are only shadows blocking the seeing of Jesus for REAL in any way they can, in the differing ways needed to obscure Him, just to keep us from being like Him.

Look at the overcomings, over and over, “I will give,” I will give.” What? – Myself. All that I am, fully to you. The Ability is Jesus, every Word fulfilled, and the Power is the Spirit, Devoted without measure. Our Faith is the first part of Jesus given to us, to know His EAGERNESS and His DETERMINATION to give all of Himself to us now.

Our Diagram Again. Consider the diagram again. This time we arrange it as the top down view of the Lampstand, the Church, with the abilities of Jesus imparted fully to us and passing from one of us to the other in the deepest knowing of Love.

I think that I finally understand what I have been trying to teach for the last five years. We see Jesus in all, yet Jesus now imparting Himself actively to us, and thus become us. Our part is TO KNOW Jesus-Real; the rest is God.

Acknowledging God as Father. God is; there is no other. God is all; He is thick; He is continuous. God is active and determined, eager and definite. God fills everything with all of His glory, all the fulness of God, all here now. God is All-Life and All-Love, All-Word and All-Light. He knows the most intimate secrets of all things.

Everything that exists comes only out from God every moment, out from His thoughts through the good-speaking of Jesus. God energeoes all inside of all. Nothing exists except surrounded utterly inside of God, inside of Love. Nothing moves except through His thickness; nothing knows except by His Person; nothing returns except to Him. Then this stupendous God, beautiful beyond description, all-encompassing Power, says to us, “I am Your Father.”

The Tension. The tension is part of God, our Father, forever, for tension is the cause of Purpose and without it there can be no Flow. Yet “Subdue,” remaining forever, has never been about evil or sin. “Subdue” comes out from a God who knows no evil.

Now have come the salvation, the POWER, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ, because the accuser… has been thrown down. Salvation is Source in substance, Kingdom is Completion in appearance, and Power is the passage from one to the other. The authority of Christ is the charge to subdue. It begins by blowing away the fog that serves only to obscure. Yet it continues forever as the passage from Source to Face.

The Removal of Perversion. The evil one, with all of his angels, and all of his power to blind foolish eyes, is but a brief fog, here one moment, gone the next, blown away with the rising of the morning sun. This delusion of mind by which all humans grip that brief fog so tightly is caused only by eating of falseness, of things that cannot be true, living inside of God and imagining not-God.

Inside that delusion, power is defined as compelling other humans to obey one’s will, self for self, hurting others. Thus power is some form of violence or the threat of violence. The idea, then, that this violence, though it spreads across the whole earth, is or means something is patently absurd inside of a God who directs all things with Purpose. This perversion of power vanishes when Goodness is unveiled.

The Dissipation of Darkness. Deliverance comes from one thing, the real expression, however it is shaped by each, of “Jesus, save me.” Here is Salvation in action. – Then lawlessness will be unveiled which the Lord Jesus will eliminate with the breath of His mouth and will render inoperative by His presence made visible and known (2 Thessalonians 2:8).

The issue is always the heart; nothing else. The heart must go silent first, and choose to receive second. The “breath of His mouth” is the blowing of the Devoted Spirit out from the gentle words that we speak, and “His presence made visible and known” is His kindness on our face. This unveiling of something so incredibly different, sheer Goodness, is what snaps everyone out of the present stupor.

Defining Kingdom Power. The Devoted Spirit upon us (Salvation) – Power (flow) – as witnesses of Jesus (Kingdom – Face – visible expression).

Kingdom power is distinct from creating or sustaining power. Kingdom power is that influence of Devotion that causes a created thing to know harmony with itself inside of God. Kingdom power is the quality of enclothing another person with Goodness through judgment.

Kingdom power is not “for” casting down all demonic delusion, that just happens as a side-effect. To humans it appears as a “great battle,” but in God, it’s quite incidental. Real power, Kingdom power, is that Flow of God that brings many sons into glory, causing them to be just like Jesus.

The Flow of Power.

The flow of God-Power is as a vast web of connections moving, one might say, at the speed of light. These qualities are the only thing real; they ARE, all the time. They are part of what God means when He says, “I AM what I am.”

I want you to go back and forth in your meditation across these seven pathways of power, from Source to Completion. Know that God is God. See Him alone, now flowing through you in all these things beyond measure. This is Jesus, imparting Himself utterly to you.

My Travail over Word. The agony of my life has always been an agony over Word, even from my youth. I want to reference one part of that vast scope of travail, my deep concern over the place of the Words God has given us on the pages of our Bibles.

Christians do not honor those Words, and that lack of honor, especially in deeper truth circles, caused in me such trouble, yet I could not speak, neither did I know how to navigate the utter confusion of the Bible. People find in the Bible exactly what they are looking for and use it to their own purposes. This hard reality was always part of my great distress. People want “the power of the Spirit,” for they imagine it sets them free from the “limitations of word.” I must know a God who is what He says. I must KNOW each Word.

Word That Is Power. Here is God’s description of the agony of my life. – she screamed in travail, being tortured to bring her child to birth. My “child” has always been the Word God has entrusted to me, the word on the pages of my Bible, that it should be True, that it should be God inside of me.

Out from that “torture,” I chose twelve “verses,” big verses, verses that gave what seemed to me the entire scope of God’s intentions. And I set those verses before my eyes, regarding only them and nothing else. They said to me, “Those are just words,” but I refused them. They are now one Word, for they have swallowed up the entire Bible in my knowing. That one Word is Jesus; He is the only thing real. That Word is Power.

The Language of Power. We have posited that the words we choose to speak, whenever we express definition or depth, are the very things that give shape to the Devoted Power flowing out from us, and thus that give shape to the form of everything found in the Kingdom. When you look across the many large paragraphs in this study that are “the Flow of Gospel Words,” you see such overwhelming certainty and clarity. You see God through us. There is no religious pretense in our speaking, for we have given ourselves utterly to God. We know that He is telling us the Truth.

I will give Myself in all to My second witness, and they will speak Me personally as themselves. They will speak Me into the shaping of all things Good.” This is the ministry we have received from God, the language, the Word of reconciliation, of God with us.

Our Pattern Words. Jesus is my Source; He is the only Life I am. Jesus lives inside my heart; He fills me with His glory. Jesus wants me to be with Him above all Desire; I am. He eagerly imparts all that He is to me; I know that I am just like Him.

God, my Father, enters into my world through me with great Purpose, meek and lowly of Heart. God enters through me with thanksgiving. We together seek the lowest place that we might lift others up into Joy and Goodness.

Jesus loves me; I am more valuable to Him than His own Life. Jesus connects me utterly to God, my Father, having already resolved all differences. Jesus and I together now do the same for others, giving ourselves freely to the Father whatever the cost, that they might live inside the knowledge of God.

I am devoted to God because God is first Devoted to me. God gives all of Himself to me, all the fulness of God. Out from the confidence of Christ upon which I stand, I give all that God gives to me back to Him in return. I give that others might live.

I receive the knowledge of God through knowing Jesus Sent into me. I acknowledge God as God; I know that Jesus is Lord. I seize hold of everything inside of God with full assurance of faith. I receive all who belong to Jesus as Jesus to me.

I am the unveiling of Jesus Christ; His glory shines forth from my face. I live inside of glorious liberty; I set creation free. The kindness of God is in my hands; His gentle goodness flows forth from my words. I love my brothers and sisters; our life together is the dwelling place of God. Father is at Home in our midst.

I know my Father. I share every moment of life together with Him and He with me. God and I share Jesus together; God and I share Hheart together. I see as God sees; I judge as God judges. God and I together call forth Life; God and I together place Goodness upon all. I live inside of God; God lives inside of me.

Space and Movement. Symmorphy – Synergeia: space and movement; form and flow. Time, then, is actually the measurement of movement through space, that is, time is the ongoing experience of God in Power. All space is space shared with God, His dwelling place. And all movement is movement shared with God, His Love going forth.

God’s great metaphor of His presence is the Ark of the Covenant with the Mercy Seat upon it. The Ark, the wooden vessel covered with gold inside and out and containing every Word that God speaks, is fixed and immovable inside the form of God-Love. And the Ark with the Judgment of all Mercy, sprinkled with Blood between Keep and Make Devoted, journeys always as His knowledge into every place.

Into the Kingdom. The next part of our study is the consideration of a pattern language for the twelve Patterns of the Kingdom, the foundations of the City of God. This language guides the construction of spaces, that is Symmorphy, sharing the same form with God. Yet in all considerations of form, the Life lived inside that form, the Synergeoing, the movement from one space to the next, shapes the design of everything.

It is at this point that I will go back and complete Lesson 13.3 “Considering the Patterns.” Having completed our study of the Pathways of Power, we KNOW the overflowing Glory that now carries us into the Kingdom.

Reading for Next Time. Now we are switching completely over to the second half of Our Glorious Salvation and will continue only with that text in the Zoom meetings until it is completed. I am almost finished with Chapters 5 and 6 and hope to have the remaining two lessons in place before next weekend. I would suggest that you read/listen to the six lessons in those two chapters. I have written all of them slowly over time, and I am satisfied that they convey what God and I intended.

I am adding a “Bridge,” however, that I will likely not have completed. This will be a short piece bridging the two halves of the book without disrupting the flow of numbered lessons. In these next lessons, we will consider GLORY.

Let’s Pray Together. “God, our Father, we acknowledge You as God, and we acknowledge You as our Father. God, You fill all things with Your Glory; You are the only One whom we see. We perceive Your overflowing Goodness and Abundance everywhere we look.

“Father, You have given us to know the Lord Jesus, Personal and real, visible to us now upon our faces. You have given us to know a Jesus who makes us to be just like Himself in an indissoluble flow. We dwell together inside of Your Fellowship, Father. Your Power flows through us into our world. You share our lives with us in the simplicity of Peace.

“Father, You have planted Your very Heart into ours such that we now share Hheart with You. We know Your Heart, Father, the Lord Jesus, that His bowels of Compassion extend right now over all who call upon His name. Father, we are Your hands, we are Your voice, our bodies are for Your Glory, be glorified through us, that Your people might know You, that Your Church might be clothed with the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Father, we see our brothers and sisters clothed with the Glory of Jesus, we call them into Life. We give ourselves to You for their protection. You nourish them through us. This is the love You have placed within our hearts, Oh Father, this Love for Your Church. We know that You move through our Faith in Power, for You always answer us.”
