1.1 The Purpose of this Course

The purpose of this course, Symmorphy VII: Completion, is for us to consider the completion of all the works of God in the affairs of mankind. The ruling verse of the Bible teaches us that everything begun by God is already completed right from the start. At the same time, there is the experience of completion in our lives that must be called “glory.”

Just as Symmorphy VI: Mankind was written primarily as an expression of the Covenant, so this course is written as an exploration of the Kingdom. What will be the appearance of all things as they must be without the memory of shadow or wrong?

To Consider. Although we will be considering the completion of many things, including brief looks at the completion of wrongness, our primary purpose is to know the Father’s completion. That is – What is God in completion inside His creation as He wishes Himself to be?

We do not attempt to predict or prophesy the future, thus we use the term, “consider.” Yet in “considering,” it is the words of the Bible that we set out in front of us that they might prevail. What is salvation completed from the Father’s perspective? What is judgment completed? What is this present age in its closing purpose? What is the Age of Tabernacles in its completed state? What are the ages to come for the Father? This is not a small or incidental topic, but forever.

To Teach. Finally, this course serves a smaller purpose as well. I have written four books thus far that are strictly “writing to teach”; that is, I limit myself to writing only what I already know. Yet two of those books, Knowing Jesus as He Is and Set My People Free, are two of an hoped-for three. The third as intended is Our Glorious Salvation. I cannot write it, however, unless I know already everything to be in it. Most of my books are writing to learn. These Symmorphy texts are writing to learn as well, yet in the disciplined form of writing to teach. This discipline enhances learning. I wrote Symmorphy I-V before I could write Knowing Jesus as He Is. I wrote Designed by Word and The River of Life so that I could write Set My People Free. I am writing Symmorphy VI and VII so that I can write Our Glorious Salvation.

God’s Intentions. God’s primary intention for you as the learner in this course is not so that you would “know about the future,” but so that you would place the Father and His expectations before your eyes, that your whole life might be guided by Father-Revealed. True success in progressing through these Symmorphy courses is marked by the extent to which Father-with-you grows in your knowing every moment. God WANTS to share your life with you, and He WANTS you to share His life with Him.

We have not reckoned with the immense desire inside of God to be known. And God has set His Heart on being known through you, dear reader, in particular. God has summoned you into Himself for Himself.

Benefits for the Student. The immense satisfaction God knows inside Himself as you acknowledge God-with-me in all ways becomes the same immense satisfaction inside of you, a satisfaction that fills every particulate of your humanity. God’s completion and your completion happen together.

Then, building on that innate satisfaction you share with the Father, there comes also the sharing of an intense excitement regarding even the most mundane things of your life, because you know that God is not only synergeoing with you in all things, but moving through your expectation of Him into your world beyond what you can know. Your every moment impacts the world with God.

Defining Completion. The simplest definition of completion for this course is that everything operates as intended in the original design. The original design of everything coming out from God is Christ Jesus, and Jesus is the expression of all original design inside of God.

Completion is being every whit whole inwardly and outwardly. Completion is God known by all inwardly and outwardly. Completion is a universe free inside the liberty of the sons of God. Completion is all justice served, all resolution made, all wrongs righted, all disputes come to peace. Completion is abundance outpoured, adventure without limit, goodness beyond conception. Completion is Father just being Himself.

Problems and Issues. A primary misunderstanding of completion is that it will be “boring.” Boredom is a feature of the broken human soul. The problem with completion, rather, will be the need to restrain the excitement inherent in the expectation of God, down to the human level.

You will discover everything you ever wanted to be, everything you ever thought you lacked fulfilled for you personally in that moment when your physical body is swallowed up by life. You want an immortal and incorruptible body far more than you realize. You will love what you do every moment.

Completion is not static, for God is not static. Rather, a universe as God intends exists out from the operation of humans as shepherds guiding all things inside the knowledge of God.

Fantasy. A significant problem in this study will be to discuss things that are truly fantastic inside of God’s intentions without wandering off into fantasy or even science fiction. The greatest enemy of knowing the completion of God in the minds of Christians are the great fantasy images of “heaven” and “hell,” of which the most destructive is “going to” heaven as a distant location that is automatic bliss. When present humans imagine “utopia,” they envision an outward perfection that becomes something ruled by control. God carries, but He does not control, and thus nothing is “automatic,” but all things must be guided inside of Love. We must address “heaven” and “hell” to counter the false.

Countering Wrong Thinking. At the same time, we want to know the completion of evil and of this age of human folly. Thus we will consider God’s purposes in having all that is wrong known to BE WRONG by all. Yet this is not a “right versus wrong” completion, but LIFE versus not-life. Thus “wrong” is the practice of seeing things as if they are not already complete in God. “Wrong” is accusing God falsely, without cause.

Because God’s intentions and purposes are misunderstood by Christians, we will find much to counter inside the Nicene view of “eschatology,” that is, the study of the prophetic word. Thus we must counter the false on a regular basis with the meaning of Life, that is, knowing God.

Limiting the Study. In this study, we will both limit and release. Our two limitations will be to the desire and intentions of God and to what the Bible actually says. Our release will be that we will explore questions inherent in most humans regarding “the future.”

At the heart of our limitation is the picture of the Lamb sitting upon the throne of God, shared entirely with us. We must know all things inside the authority and power of God. Yet the drive of our release is a kingdom that increases forever, a God who is new every morning, an abundance untold, a God who just gets carried away with Himself when He creates. We limit ourselves to that which is without limit.

Placing Completion. Completion is knowing all things as they are coming out from the Tree of Life and carried in the River of Life. Completion is living inside the Father and inside His Heart. The completion of our glorious Salvation, already all, is everything being just like Jesus could possibly mean.

Completion inside this present age of human folly is the proving of Christ faithful and true. The completion of Tabernacles is every gospel Word God gave us in Scripture proven out inside the present framework of heaven-earth, inside the allotted “seven days.” The completion of the ages, then, is bringing the completion of justice to every wrong and releasing the universe into knowing no contradiction of God, into God seen and known as He is by all.

Defining Telos and Pleroo. Two Greek words, telos and pléroó, convey to us God’s meaning of completion. We will create a list for the Appendix of every New Testament verse containing these two words in all their forms. Here are definitions from biblehub.com.

Telos: the principal end, aim, or purpose. Consummation (the end-goal, purpose), such as closure with all its results. Telos is well-illustrated with the old pirate's telescope, unfolding (extending out) one stage at a time to function at full-strength (capacity, effectiveness).

Pléroó: to make full; to complete. (From plērēs, "be full.”) Fill to individual capacity to the extent it is "meet“ or appropriate.

Complete (Webster’s 1926).
Complete: (adj.) 1. Filled up; with no part, item, or element lacking; free from deficiency; entire; perfect; consummate. 2. Brought to an end or to a final and intended condition. 3. Perfectly equipped or skilled; accomplished, as in an art or pursuit.

Complete: (verb) To bring to a state of entirety or perfection; to perfect; to furnish or equip fully; to fulfill; to finish. (Synonyms: Perform, execute, conclude, finish, achieve, realize, effect, accomplish, fulfill, bring to pass.)

Completion: (noun) 1. Act or process of making complete; the getting through to the end, as the completion of an undertaking or project. 2. State of being complete; fulfillment; realization.

The Unfolding of Life. We could say that pleroo is the completion of Covenant, that which is inward, filled full, and that telos is the completion of Kingdom, that which is outward or “going forth.” Yet pleroo overflows and telos comes forth from our bellies.

It is impossible to know anything about completion, whether inward or outward, or about God’s intentions and purposes, without KNOWING the Father. The “ages to come” are the unfolding of LIFE, age-unfolding Life, and the Life that unfolds the ages is knowing the Father through knowing Jesus Sent into us. To know the Father, then, is the only thing worth knowing. To know the Father is the totality and the essence of all.

Restatement of Purpose. The purpose of this course is to fill our entire beings with faith in the expectation of God, that we would see God arising as He is, everywhere we look.

For out from Him and coming through Him and returning to Him are ALL (Romans 11). The purpose of this course is to consider the meaning of all things having returned to the Father, the meaning of God all inside of all.

What are the Father’s intentions for all things related to us? What is Christ Jesus proven faithful and true? What are sons of God as the revelation of Christ? What is a creation set free? What is a God who is satisfied utterly with all?

A Call to Action. Read this book; take this course. Spend careful time on each lesson; review and reflect regularly; tackle and complete each assignment. Engage directly with God in Person inside of you. As you do, the Lord Jesus will reveal Himself to you as the One who fills your heart with all of His glory and who flows out from you to join you with precious brethren.

This course, Symmorphy VII: Completion, as you spend time in it, will cause you to know the Father, His Person inside of your person, and to know yourself as you really are. And it will do so by showing you Jesus alive and real living in your heart as you walk as the Salvation of God through you towards all.
