26.1 The Christ Child

For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it (Isaiah 55:10-11).

There are few words in the Bible more absolute, more out of the intensity of God’s gut, more ruling over all things than this line from Isaiah. Jesus is Lord, and as Lord, Jesus fulfills ALL that the Father speaks, and He fulfills ALL inside this earth – to bring forth out from weakness all the revelation of God.

Allowing Word
The problem throughout the church age is that God’s people have never allowed the Word God speaks to be what it is, to enter into them by faith, and to bring forth all that God speaks as Christ Jesus alive in their hearts.

I shared a piece on Facebook, someone posted a good verse, but not to glorify Christ inside of us, rather to use one verse to obliterate another. I deleted their comment without reply. That word, along with every Word God speaks, is sent into the earth FOR ONE PURPOSE – to be fulfilled in all that Christ is in the hearts and lives of those who believe.

Jesus, having been planted in the earth, MUST bring forth many more seeds just like Himself, right here on this planet.

All That God Speaks
God used the symbol of a child, a Christ child, born of the heavenly Woman, the Church, to represent to us the goal of all God’s purposes from the beginning – God seen and known through a many-membered body of people, family. That Christ child represents to us Jesus bringing forth in our lives all that God speaks, not just as our substance, but, in the resurrection, as our outward appearance as well.

I am beginning to catch a glimpse, dim to be sure, of the outline of difference we must know between the Church woman and the child that she bears. But first, let’s fill in a bit more from the picture that John saw of the woman clothed with the sun.

The “Moon”
With the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars (Revelation 12:1b).

The “moon under her feet” refers to three things that I see at present. The moon has no light of its own, but reflects only the light coming to it from the sun. Thus this “moon” over which the heavenly woman has triumphed refers, primarily, to the law. BUT – it refers to the law in three ways. First, it refers to all effort of self-righteousness, particularly by word on the outside. Second, it refers to all claims of the natural man, including the natural Judaic. And third, it refers to that segment of the church who sees Christ and salvation as far away.

Our Close Brethren
Thus, this heavenly woman lives in the present today entirely inside the grace of God. She puts the Lord Jesus Christ upon herself as far as righteousness is concerned; she embraces the meaning and the true freedom of the cross; and she sees some measure of rivers of life flowing out of her to bless others. She may be limited in her understanding of these things, but her face is set in the right direction.

For example, I have always felt that the brethren who attend Lakewood Church with Pastor Joel Osteen will be much more receptive to Jesus as He is than, say, the Pentecostal Holiness church next door. (Without wanting to “bracket” anyone.)

Precious People
It is these precious people who are acquainted with the anointing of the Holy Spirit, who rejoice in the grace and goodness of God, and who love Jesus and one another that are this heavenly woman. And it truly is out of them, all of those, that we are being birthed.

Of truth, I see among some who teach on the manifestation of the sons of God, similar to what I teach, who picture this woman, their heavenly mother, as a prostitute from whom they are escaping. I abhor such thinking. You and I are poured out utterly FOR HER SAKE.

The Only Heavenly Woman
The garland of twelve stars refers to the twelve apostles of Christ merged completely with the twelve tribes of Israel. In other words, Who has made both (Judaic and Gentile) one… so as to create in Himself one new man from the two (Ephesians 2). We are speaking of the Church of Jesus Christ, full and complete, the only free woman, the only heavenly woman, the only Bride of Christ.

Let’s describe, then, as specifically as we can, God’s end purpose for human life inside this present age. God intends to prove the Lord Jesus Christ faithful and true THROUGH the entire establishment of regular human life.

Jesus Walking this Earth
The manchild is Jesus walking this earth in His body, you and me, in all the fullness of Christ – but before the resurrection. The meek shall inherit the earth.

Let’s look at this Christ child from God’s perspective – and we call it a child because it has just been born and has yet to learn the elements of being fully human as God intends. For God to be seen and known, He needs a body. He needs two bodies, in fact. God needs a Spirit body for the heavens and He needs a physical body for the earth. He that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit with Him – For we are of His flesh and of His bones – one flesh with Him.

God’s Body
There is one body and one Spirit (Ephesians 4:4a). Jesus has only one physical body; He does not have two.  Jesus does not have a separate body from us, His body. Those who will not know the real and Human Jesus living now in their hearts in all of His glory, all here now and by the Spirit, will not know Him.

For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12). I take this verse to be literal – God’s Body, physical to the earth and spirit to the heavens, what humans are all about, God-Revealed.

No Super-Heroes
Now, to understand what this Body, this Christ child IS, we first look at what it is not. It is not a bunch of individual Christians, sufficient in themselves, nor is it a bunch of miracle working power-zappers demonstrating “Christ-ness.” Yet it will include all who are presently in heaven only, as they return to earth in their brand new resurrected physical bodies, one body with us.

You see, most who teach sonship define Jesus as a super-hero with wondrous personal powers. Thus they envision themselves as individuals walking in a similar “glory.” It is evident to me that God does not share their values.

Love One Another
The beating heart of the New Covenant is – Love one another as I love you. And Jesus loves us by placing Himself beneath of us to lift us up, to bless and honor each one, to lay down His life for us.

AND WE ALSO – those three words from 1 John 3:16 are all the proof we need that this manchild is us and IS the fulfillment of the gospel of Jesus Christ. By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us, and we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. This is not speaking of some static ideal, nor is it wishful thinking. This is the heart of the Body of Christ, the fulfillment of all God speaks right here in this earth.

Simplicity of Heart
The child of Christ is you and me, Christ as us, laying down our lives for one another, not as a solitary “hero” act, nor as an obligation of duty, but simply as our way of life, walking together, loving one another with a pure heart fervently.

This walking together is in simplicity of heart, with the “greatest” on their knees to serve the “least.” With each one submitting to each other in mutual respect and kindness. Inside this walking together there certainly are all the wondrous provisions of what to some are “miracles,” but to us are just the goodness and abundance of God – expressed inside the cycles of regular human life.

And the whole world will see this love, the second witness of Christ, and they will confess that God indeed sent Jesus.

The Feast of Tabernacles
To understand, then, the difference between the Woman and the Manchild, we go back again to the fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles in the life of the church. The fulfillment of Tabernacles, an event in the life of the Church greater than Passover and Pentecost as far as our human experience on this earth is concerned, an event that is at the door, has three distinct parts.

It is the fulfillment of the first Sabbath of Tabernacles that sets the course of all things closing out this age of darkness. Revelation 12 shows us that while the Christ child is “caught up to God and His throne,” the Woman who brought forth this fullness of Christ flees before the vomit of the dragon.

The Measure of Christ
There is a sharp divide happening among all who name the name of Christ. That divide is following a distinct line set in the Holy Place, right across the center of the table of showbread and the golden lampstand. It is a divide regarding the love of Jesus and the desire to know Him more deeply.

Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it… (Revelation 11:1b-2a). Those who have tasted of the life and anointing of the Holy Spirit and are drawn to DESIRE gravitate to the altar of incense, but those who just dabble in the Spirit eventually leave Spirit realities and migrate back to the outer court.

God Among Us
(We do not use this word, of course, as any strait-jacket to define individuals. Those whom God has chosen will astonish everyone, as well as those who turn their backs and walk away.)

And so, we see among many of our Christian brethren an entrenchment into “fundamentalist doctrine,” void of any longing to know Jesus now. It is these that the angel of the Lord says, “Do not measure.” The Lord knows those who are His; let him who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity (their own self-story).

The manchild, the firstfruits unto God, and the fulfillment of the first Day of Tabernacles, these three are the same thing. They speak of a people who know God in fullness among them.

Nourish Her
Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should nourish her there… (Revelation 12:6). Who are “they?” – those who are caught up to God.

When I was 20-21 years old, I heard this word “and they shall nourish her there.” I gave my heart to the fulfillment of this word; I have never taken my heart back. I may be inconsequential outwardly, but I write Christ to you out of a compulsion grounded in years and in many tears.

The fulfillment of the second part of the Feast of Tabernacles in the life of the church, the dwelling in booths, is also known as the “in-gathering,” as the Church is drawn fully into Love.

The Wave of Pure Light
Let me include here a vision received by Annie Schissler, to whose visions you were introduced in Symmorphy I: Purpose.

The Wave of Pure Light
God showed me a new and extraordinary wave of heavenly pure light and life that He is accumulating to prepare the manifestation of the Great Harvest, that will develop underneath the storm of evil which is forming…

He showed me how this new wave operated: there were like gigantic arms that collected in an increasing scale countless multitudes of souls for Christ. In amazing operations of God, in great power and strength, thousands and millions were taken for Him.

However, there were differences between the levels and conditions of these souls that the wave of light had reaped regarding the elect ones who walked above the storm. The elect ones were obviously superior in development and light, but despite their inferior condition, the souls that gathered under the storm were more numerous and were equally precious to the Lord and He was especially interested in the harvest of these multitudes. With great joy and power He was intensively working to fulfill this.

The inferior condition of the new ones was detectable not by their appearance, but by their relationship with God. Those who walked above the storm had a very intimate relationship with Him, characterized by a great intensity, as if they were linked with the same fires and torrents of the divine nature.

When the new ones took abundant blessings from God, it was due to the fact that they rebounded from His chosen ones. The blessing of one had an impact as a blessing for another one…

The ones who were under the storm, though they received great provision of light and life that God shed, nonetheless they were allowed to be moved, shaken and buffeted. However, through this, it would be provided the way in which the Lord would mold, transform and develop them. On the contrary, those who were above the storm of darkness, that is, the elect ones could not be shaken as they were rooted and asserted in their relationship with Christ.

He told me that these sons that would give way to this new wave, must be extremely purified.  This purification is of fundamental importance, not only for themselves, but also for these new ones that will be gathered. This high, complete purification of the elect ones is equivalent to the opening of the doors inside them that will rebound in a force of great life and light to those thousands that are still in darkness.

My Calling – and Yours
Remember that man is upside down to God. When God says “above,” we see someone beneath of us on his or her knees to serve. And when God says, “Inferior condition,” He means, “Here are those whom you see as better than yourself, My son.”

This vision is full confirmation to the sense of calling I have carried in my heart since age 21 to be this provision of God for His precious people caught under a storm they cannot comprehend.

And so I set before you this reality as well. This is the calling and the task given to Christ who is your life – to nurture and to sustain His people in their hour of greatest need.
