23.2 Contradiction

© 2016 Christ Revealed Bible Institute

The word “contradiction” is from the Latin roots, contra – against and dict – to speak.

The universe is not defined by good versus evil, except in the false imagination of the human mind. The universe is defined by Sustaining Word only. Yet against that ACTUAL sustaining Word, the greatest and highest creature created by God spoke words of contradiction. That contradiction, known to us as accusation, seeks to replace that Sustaining Word in the knowledge of all humans, Christian or non-Christian. Accusation seeks to get us speaking words that are not Christ.

Contrary Words
That’s it. That’s all that contradiction IS, just contrary words, words that possess no power apart from the human mind.

I reject the practice of using a small “s” for Satan. The capital letter is a grammatical signifier that means “this is the name of a solitary and individual person.” Satan wants everyone, rather, to imagine him to be a “force,” an “all-pervasive spirit,” a “mind-set,” a “power.” That way, he gets people to imagine that he is evil personified, that he is evil by substance. And not that he is a single, solitary person, who has no substance in himself, but whose only “power” consists of lying people into speaking his false words, so that they cannot hear Christ.

No “Oneness”
There is no “oneness” in the demonic realms; there is only a large number of individual persons filled with fear, stuck together by a shared despair, and ruled by top-down command and control. If demons torture humans, you can be sure they do the same to each other.

Someone who is under control is not one. Oneness and freedom of person are two parts of the same.

And no, it is not Satan, but rather his henchmen, whispering words into peoples’ stories. Satan appeared in a human Judas, yes, but he prefers to command, not to do the dirty work himself.

No “Power”
And although demons are well-able to inhabit symmorphic man, they have NO “power,” no “super-power.” All they do is talk. And they are effective only as the human him or herself speaks their words. Man rules – by words; demons only provide the words.

The only “power” possessed by any creature who constantly turns his or her back on the good words of Jesus speaking them every moment, is the altering of their own sight (a self-hypnosis) by speaking those words. Now they see as they wish, that is, they see darkness. And by seeing darkness, they enjoy all the dead fruits of darkness, both good and evil.

The Entire CONTEST
The entire contest is over which words are in our minds and mouths and hearts – Christ or accusation.  There is no impersonal word. We cannot speak Christ apart from Jesus as Lord in our heart. We cannot speak accusation without a personal demon whispering to our mind. We are symmorphic, and we are NEVER alone.

Someone says, “No accuser! Demons have nothing to do with Christians.” Then they say, “We are not now filled with all of God, that’s only after we go to heaven.” So, how did calling Jesus false get in their mouth? All people do is just play mind games inside the swirling scenarios of a false self-story.

Christ or Accusation
Only one thing alters our false self-story – speaking what God speaks in the Bible concerning Christ our only Loaf-Giver. We are getting right at words, here, right at the story you tell yourself about yourself in your sub-conscious mind. Words, either Christ or accusation, either Jesus as Lord revealed now through you OR meaningless words. (And again, I am not speaking of normal human conversation, but rather, the defining words of our self-story, though those words will show up in regular conversation.)

We will NEVER get rid of accusation, not in this age. We will only not know accusation by the present speaking of Christ in our mouths.

Demons only Talk
People have always had a totally false understanding of “demons,” and modern movies are increasing that falseness. Superman is a fictional character. There are no demigods. There is no commanding or controlling power; such a “force” does not exist; it was not created by God. In movies, when a demon shows up, it is portrayed as an evil POWER, displaying power over.  Angels are servants, just like dogs. If a dog gets out of control, you put it down, just like angels. Neither dogs nor angels can ever “rule” man. Demons have one “power” only; they can talk.

The Strategy of Balaam
In order to understand human psychology, we must understand the story of Balaam in Numbers 22. The king of Moab had paid Balaam to curse God’s people. Balaam tried his best to fulfill his contract, but he could not. The only thing coming out of his mouth was blessing. This did not sit well with the king; he had already paid Balaam.

But Balaam was crafty – so he gave the king of Moab the winning formula. “We cannot curse God’s people, so let’s get them in trouble with God. Then God will be our weapon against them.” And that is exactly what happened.

No “Possession”
Demons do not “possess” any human. Yes, they hide from God inside of a contract of agreement they enter into with humans, agreeing to be that human’s servant. But demons do not control anyone; the human is always in charge. Consider the man filled with a legion of demons wailing and crying among the tombs. He himself spoke their words, the demons speaking through him. But they could not control his feet; they could not prevent him from walking to Jesus.

Demons have one power only – “words,” and by those words they convince their human masters to speak what they speak.

Balaam in Practice
You and I are not sustained every moment by the good speaking of Jesus because we hear His voice. We are sustained by that good speaking because the words that are Jesus are the only thing by which anything exists.

The goal of any fallen angel is to get his human master to speak a self-story in opposition to the good speaking of Jesus. When a Christians says, “When Jesus comes back (someday),” that Christian did not invent those words themselves. Those words came from another source, a source that is determined that the Christian, by his or her own words, fails to see the glory of Jesus already filling them full. To overcome all evil IS to see Christ alone.

The Rule over All Words
The first four words spoken by Christ and then by the serpent set the rule by which all other words exist. “Let there be light.”“Did God indeed say?”

The first word is not “power to change.” It is power to see Christ, to see what is already and only TRUE. The second word does not create anything. All it does is provide a space, a foot in the door, so to speak, so that the human is now free to create their own imaginary story, entirely by words. And the angel is there to maintain a plenteous flow of contradictory words at the command of his master.

Meaningless Words
That’s it. That’s all darkness is.

Those who see you will gaze at you, and consider you, saying: ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms?’ (Isaiah 14:16). (God uses earthly kings as metaphors of angels who rule over other angels.) Is that it? Is that all it was that kept such a rule of darkness, causing humans to steal from other humans and from God as the sole rationale for being alive? Just a handful of meaningless words?

As you and I speak Christ as the only life we ARE, kingdoms of darkness are crumbling into ruin. The accuser is being cast down.

Accusation
All contradiction against Christ can be summed up by one word – accusation. We must understand, however, that accusation includes every form of false speaking one could imagine. Just as no two sets of fingerprints are alike, so no two human stories of accusation are the same.

Why is it that Christians, being introduced to speaking Christ as their only Life-Giver, will not continue doing so until they know that Jesus IS Lord? And yes, Christians are just as capable of listening to demons as they are listening to the weatherman. Why would they do so?

Hypnosis
I stated in an earlier lesson that when I read Augustine’s On Christian Doctrine it was as a demonic spell that came upon me making me totally incapable of hearing Christ in the Bible. As I pondered that statement, I realized this fact of human reality, including all reality for Christians in this world. The words of demons do have one “power,” a power that is actually a function of the human mind. This is NOT any life or sustaining power as some think. It is simply a trick of the human mind, a hypnosis. Yet as an hypnosis it does rule the human.

Jesus told the demons to be silent, for even when they speak “the truth,” their words, if “believed,” cause darkness in the human mind. (I will develop this key understanding more later on.)

The Choice
It was God who placed His highest cherub, perfect in beauty and wisdom, in the garden to anoint the tree of “obey, do not disobey.” And God placed the cherub there knowing that he would conceive the thought, entirely out of envy, that he should be God’s image, not man. God placed the cherub there KNOWING that he would speak words of accusation against Jesus as Word, words that would mesmerize mankind.

You see, the serpent is NOT an alternate Lord; he is only an alternate word. The choice of two trees was not a choice of outward obedience, but a choice of which words to hear.

Why?
No one and nothing is ever sustained by the words of the serpent, for they are just idle and empty words, words without sustaining power, words that can only deceive. Hearing demons talk cannot remove Jesus as Loaf-Giver, as the only Sustaining Lord.

So why does God allow demons to talk to humans and especially to Christians? We could say things about free-will and choice, about God not wanting robots for sons, etc.  Yet, somehow, those things just don’t measure against the awfulness of 6000 years of humans hurting humans because of listening to the wrong voice.

Only One Purpose
God’s Purpose, His Pro-Thesis, is without contradiction, yet contrary word seems to be the entirety of the human experience, a spell of darkness cast upon all people. And that contradictory word takes on, in our world today, forms of the appearance of great evil and death-power. And this contrary word seems to testify against Jesus as Lord, that He sustains all things every moment by His good speaking.

God has only one purpose – Father’s Heart revealed through a body of people, walking together as one, loving one another.

Yet the question remains huge, why so much contradiction? It is a question for which we have no present answer. I have this suspicion, however, that as all accusation is cast down, so will this entire question cease.
