Revelation

This book is the vision or set of visions that John saw on the isle of Patmos. As visions they must be interpreted in the same way visions and dreams are interpreted throughout the Bible, and guided by Jesus' statement in John 6:63, "It is the Spirit who gives life, the flesh {mental ideas and outward appearance} profts nothing. The words that I speak to you are Spirit and they are life.

We use John's vision, not as a repudiation of Paul's gospel, as almost all Christians have done, but rather as John's third confirmation of Paul's gospel. We can do that only as we understand these things by the Spirit, in maturity and out from the ruling verses of Paul's gospel.

When used carnally, few things have done more damage inside of western history than this book. Yet in the hands of the sons of God as this age of folly is being swallowed up by LIFE, John's vision is a wondrous guide to understanding our full and complete victory.
