27.2 Incarnation - Ekenosis

Incarnate means “God in flesh.” It means the Body of God towards all heaven-earth, God made visible. Ekenosis is the action of calling God into visibility, in appearance as humans together.

Great is the mystery of godliness: “The One who was made visible inside of flesh (1 Timothy 3:16). – The Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). – The one who has seen Me has seen the Father (John 14).

For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. …into one flesh the two will be (Ephesians 5:30-31). – Inside of Jesus, you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God (Ephesians 2:22).

God Incarnate Now. The argument that God is not incarnate in His Church right now and that God does not intend to cause Himself to be seen by all through His Church is not found anywhere in the New Testament; rather, it is found only in the protests of those who are convinced that the devil spoke the truth in the garden.

When Jesus said, “This is My commandment that you love one another in full reciprocity in exactly the same way that I have loved you,” He was saying, “Be the incarnation of God.” Only the devil and those who see God through him seek for superiority. God our Father reveals Himself through weakness and always takes the lowest place.

“Love one another” and “God incarnate” are the same thing.

Making God Visible. Then, it is the action of the ekenosis that makes God visible in human form. The Ekenosis is the end meaning of being human; it is the Completion of our lives together.

Ekenosis means an invisible and unknown God becoming known by His creation through the form of humans together. God made visible through humans together, that is, through His body, His heaven-earth form, is Love. If there is Love among humans, it can only be God made visible. When Jesus said, “The one who sees Me sees the Father,” He was allowing for no other form through which God reveals Himself than human flesh, that is flesh breathed upon by Spirit.

Being a Normal Human. Beloved, we are now children birthed out from God, and it has not yet been made visible {in outward appearance} what we will be. We know that if He becomes visible to us, we will be just exactly like Him, because we will be seeing Him as He is (1 John 3:2). – The Church is His body, the fullness of Christ, filling full all inside of all (Ephesians 1:23).

Being filled with a God who shares our life with us does not make us “super”; it makes us filled with JOY. It is evident that the Lord Jesus Christ, as He walked this earth, was the Incarnation of God. It is the guiding idea of this course that Jesus is the pattern of a normal human being and that we are made just like Him.

The Description of the Ekenosis. Let’s now consider the Ekenosis.

Let this exact same gut-level manner of thinking be inside of you that was inside of Christ Jesus, who existing continuously and actively inside of the form and existence of God [that is, all here now and Personal in us], did not hold tightly to the gut assumption of being equal with God. Rather, having already willingly taken hold of the form of a slave, Himself ekenosen, that is, He Himself called an invisible God into visibility, becoming the same as humans. And having been found in outward appearance as a human, He humbled Himself, that is, revealed God as one who sees others as better, actively becoming hearing-under for the sake of others all the way to death, even the death of the cross (Philippians 2:5-8).

I Think the Same. I want to go through the confessions of faith from this passage as found in The Jesus Secret II. Our purpose will be to create simple definitions of the human out from being just like Jesus, as both Paul and John said.

~ I possess the same heart-thinking that defined Jesus in His connection with God all the days of His time in the flesh. The same heart-thinking that filled Jesus fills me in all that I am, in full saturation. ~

If we connect with God through Jesus, then it is evident that we connect with God in the same way Jesus does.

A human: 1. A being who connects with God in the same Spirit-organic way Jesus connects with God. 2. One who thinks just like Jesus thinks.

Christ’s Body. ~ I know that the Lord Jesus, the human Jesus, exists now again in the form of God, that is, all here now and utterly Personal and real inside of me, written all through the pathways of my heart as the very Seed of God. I know that this same Jesus actively connects me utterly with God my Father and God with me in every continuous moment. I know that I exist as this same Jesus gives voice to God’s thoughts concerning me. ~

The Church right now is literally Jesus’ flesh, the Body of Christ. Jesus’ physical body became our physical bodies together. The body is not atoms and molecules, for they change completely every seven years. The body is the DNA made alive by Spirit. Our DNA is personal to Jesus Himself.

Heart to Heart. ~ I know that I am equal with God, for He made me just like Himself by the pattern of the Lord Jesus. I am of His same kind; I am able to receive His Seed and bring forth His life into the world. I stand heart to Heart with God, for I share His determination and His Desire is poured out in my heart. I stand forehead to Forehead with God, for I will not rest until His intentions are all that I am. ~

The Blood Covenant makes us equal with God, not outwardly, of course, but as the essence of Friendship.

A human: 3. One who is equal with God as friends, inside of Covenant. 4. One who shares Hheart with God; one who shares vision and word with God; one who shares the fellowship of Father and Son.

I Call God. ~ Yet I do not hold onto that equality with God as if it should make me “superior” in any way. Rather, I place myself as a servant to God, that He might be free to reveal Himself through me as He wishes. I willingly give myself to Father for His sake, that He might win all His desire. ~

A Human: 5. One who belongs to God even as God belongs to him. 6. One who turns equality with God into service for others.

Now we come to the action of the ekenosis. ~ In my human weakness, in my confidence in God with me, I CALL God my Father to enter out from my heart and into my world. God, I call you to come and to be life to others through me. I am confident that God IS coming through me in every moment, just as He wishes, for the sake of others. ~

Ekenosen. When we place the desire of God to be seen and known as the reason for everything that exists, then it is easy to understand the problem to God of being not-seen and not-known. God does not have what He wants!

Ekenosen, OUT FROM emptiness, was an action performed entirely by Jesus, “Himself ekenosen.” It is evident that Jesus did not “empty Himself of God,” for God was inside of Christ, through every stumbling step, reconciling the cosmos to Himself. Jesus’ statement that seeing Him is seeing the Father is full evidence that Jesus CALLED God out from invisibility and into being seen and known through Jesus’ human form.

One Who Calls. Paul said, “Let this same heart-mind be inside of you.”

A human: 7. One who calls God-made-visible upon every particle of his humanity and upon every moment of his life.

I can testify out from my own daily experience that definition 7 is real and that it is the central essence of being human. And here is the most extraordinary thing. I have made nothing “happen”; rather, I have simply stumbled into reality, into the only thing that has always been true. I have lived in deep travail and agony of soul my whole life. And now I KNOW that all of it, every moment and circumstance, was God with me, sharing travail together for the sake of His Church.

Our Human Frame. ~ I know that my human frame is God’s appearance in all heaven-earth. I know that, in my gathering together with other believers in Jesus, God is seen and known by all as they see our tender compassion as we love one another in just the same way that Jesus loves us. I call God my Father into our love as the Church together, that this invisible God who fills me with all that He is might be our deep love for one another in the highest regard and respect. ~

A human: 8. One who is the appearance of God to all heaven-earth, God manifest in the flesh. 9. One who gathers together with other believers in Jesus to reveal God through loving one another with pure hearts fervently. 10. One who calls God-Love to be every interaction taking place inside the Church.

I Know God. ~ I call every interaction we have together to be God-Love among us, regardless of our appearance of weakness. ~

~ Indeed, I know that as God my Father is revealed through my human weakness, He humbles Himself together with me and with us together, for the sake of others. I know that God shares my every moment as part of me and that He and I together embrace all the pressures of travail so that others might enter into the wondrous knowledge of God. ~

~ I hear the beating of my Father’s Heart as He places Himself beneath each one, seeing them as better. And in hearing my Father, I join myself utterly with Him and He with me, such that we together carry each one in our shared Hheart. ~

Motivation. Do not think that I, Daniel Yordy, am inclined towards caring about other people. If God had left me to myself, I would be inclined towards myself alone. I am motivated by wanting to be with Jesus, for I know that, in that moment, standing with Him is the only thing real. I place “for the sake of others” in all my conscious speaking, because I KNOW that there is no “with Jesus” apart from “with you” and “with all who belong to Him.” And so I become.

A human: 11. A being who humbles himself together with the Father beneath of each one for their sake. 12. One who shares with the travail of the Father through the Spirit so that others might enter into the knowledge of God.

Father Shares All with Me. ~ I know that as I stumble forward in the path set for me, that Father carries me, that Father shares even my stumbling failure utterly with me. I know that Father and I together, and together with my brothers and sisters, are carrying the entire creation, each individual person, in our hearts all the way through the darkness and into life. ~

~ I know that Father revealed through us together is the life and joy of all creation. I know that God exalts above all things in creation this quality of Jesus in me, of sharing Hheart with Him in His care for all. ~
~~~
If it isn’t personal to you, it’s neither God nor you. God your Father shares every moment and particle of your life with you.
A Personal Relationship. God incarnate is NOT an idea; it is an active relationship of two walking together as one.
I recently looked briefly at a description of the “transhumanist – Christ-consciousness.” One could argue that there are vague outward similarities with what I present here. Yet there is a staggering difference. God is NOT “the divine” or “the nous”; God is a Person – the Father. I am not “evolving,” I am a person – me. And Christ is NOT “the christ-spirit,” but a Person – Jesus.
And we walk together as one in sweet fellowship, sharing life together, sharing each moment together, sharing Hheart together for all who belong to Jesus. – Just as you do, as well.
The Most Important Meaning. Sharing life with God, calling God-with-us upon every moment of our life, walking in sweet fellowship with the Father as friends, as equals, this is LIGHT, and it is most wondrous for us. But it does not solve God’s problem.
God can be light in us as much as He wants, but blind-eyes can’t see, and God remains not-known. God must remove the cover that blinds the eyes of all created things, preventing them from seeing and knowing God. God removing blindness is called the Apocalypse.
But here’s the thing. When people are finally capable of seeing God – WHAT WILL THEY SEE? This is the most important meaning to God in creating us.
