27.3 The Apocalypse

The “apocalypse” is that moment when that which is true becomes visible to all, that is, the cover is removed. The apocalypse goes in two directions simultaneously. In one direction, the trueness of Christ Jesus walking this earth as His Church is seen by all. In the other direction, the falseness of this world and the powers that control it are seen by all.

The purpose of this lesson is not to set forth the events of the apocalypse, for that is the subject of the Kingdom. Rather, we want to set our final definition of mankind as the unveiling, the revelation of Jesus Christ. The revelation of Jesus Christ is who and what we are.

I Am the Apocalypse. I am a true human, just like the Lord Jesus Christ, that means that I am the Apocalypse. As Jesus said, we are the light of the world. My calling and yours is to make the Truth and the Lie visible. I make the Truth visible. I make the Lie visible. I am the Apocalypse. I am the removal of that which hides; I am the bright shining of the Light.

These are not two separate actions. To show Jesus to all is to demonstrate the utter folly and delusion of not-Jesus. – And then lawlessness will be unveiled (apocalupsis) which the Lord Jesus will eliminate with the breath of His mouth and will render inoperative by His presence made visible and known (epiphaneia) (2 Thessalonians 2:8).

Take Off the Cover. The Lord Jesus made visible and known is the ONLY thing that eliminates lawlessness in your life and in anything else. Christ must be all first before anything not-Christ could ever vanish away.

The Greek word apocalupsis means literally to take off the cover. It was used to mean the removal of the cover from a new work of art ready to be “unveiled” to the public. We have several questions concerning this meaning, then, which we hope to give some answer to in this lesson, an answer in line with defining the human. If we are the Apocalypse, the unveiling of Jesus Christ, how are we made to be such a thing?

The Unveiling of Jesus Christ. Then – What is the cover? What is covered over? How is the cover removed? What is seen when the cover is removed? That is, when people are finally capable of seeing God – what will they see? Finally, how will people react when they see God as He is?

The Unveiling of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him to show His servants what is necessary and proper to become immediately (Revelation 1:1 – rough JSV). – The Church, which is His BODY, the FULNESS of Christ who fills all inside of all (Ephesians 1:23). It is Jesus Christ who is unveiled in fulness and the fulness of Christ unveiled is the Church. Paul’s gospel RULES John’s vision.

The Cover. What is the cover?

During my years in deeper truth teaching, when I longed to be “a son of God” of myself, I believed that this cover was my outer flesh-beast nature that must be removed before “the Christ within” would prevail. What was really going on? We had joined with Adam in hating the way God made us and lusting after “superiority.” If I can just get rid of this outward human flesh, then I can ‘soar in the heavens’ and really be ‘like Jesus.’

Christ Jesus is already ALL inside of ALL, we just refused to see Him because we wanted something “better” than God. Now I understand that the cover is the blindness of the eyes, cataracts covering over seeing, a view supported by many verses.

The Unseen. Then, what is covered over? That is, what and who is unseen? Specifically, Jesus Christ in His Person as every Word God speaks fulfilled.

You see, Jesus is always made visible, there is no other possibility. Yet He remains unseen because humans will not have Him. And so the Greek word parousia, meaning Jesus PRESENT here and now, is deceptively translated “coming someday,” in order to give an excuse for the refusal to see Jesus as He is.

He who has seen Me has seen the Father. – Christ is a many-membered body. – You are the BODY of Christ and a member in particular. Jesus and the gathering of believers are one and the same.

What Do You See? Consider the picture. What do you see?

Are you blind or do you see the fulness of Christ Jesus revealing the Father? Do you see an in-part expression or do you see every Word God speaks fulfilled, faithful and true?

The problem is in the eyeballs, not in reality. This is the BODY of Christ, the only outward expression of the Lord Jesus Christ to all heaven-earth that there will ever be. Will you have Him?

Anointed to Remove Blindness. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed (Luke 4:18).As the Father has sent Me, I also send you (John 20:21).

To be “anointed” to give the recovery of sight to the blind means that the Spirit of God flowing out from our hearts has the power and does the deed, while we have the authority to direct the Devoted Spirit in His doing. I have the authority and the Devoted Spirit flowing out from me has the power to open your eyes to see Jesus in His Church.

A Biblical Apocalypse. My authority and the Devoted Spirit’s power opening your eyes to see Jesus in His Church, Jesus as He is, is the Apocalypse. Then you and I together, as the Lord Jesus made visible, combine our individual synergeoing with God together as one Body, and the Rivers of Spirit flowing out to open eyes to see are multiplied many times over.

This is the Apocalypse, and it is utterly Biblical.

Before we specify the Apocalypse as the final end definition of the human, I want to bring in a brief definition of what it means to overcome. We cannot define the human by the revelation of Jesus Christ without also defining the human by the true meaning of “to overcome.”

To the One Overcoming. To overcome is the key action verb of the Kingdom; then, the unveiling, the apocalypse, the revelation of Jesus Christ is the result of that action.

To the one presently and actively overcoming – I will give him to eat out from the tree of life – I will give him to sit with Me inside My throne, just exactly as I also overcame, and sat down with My Father inside His throne (Revelation 2 & 3).

As I overcame” means we go to Jesus’ last hour on the cross as found in Psalm 22/John 19. Our definition here must be brief, but Chapter 4 of Completion will set all this as our action that unfolds the Kingdom. What is it that Jesus and we defeat? What is our true enemy?

Refusing to Separate. Paul and the writer of Hebrews both give us to understand that Jesus was pressed “to the edge of the precipice,” one might say, to that very moment when only the tiniest of grips kept Him connected to the Father.

This is what we see when comparing Psalm 22 with John 19. In spite of all His screaming agony in the confusion of His human soul, Jesus refused to separate His flesh from the Father, He refused to call Himself by a separated flesh. Jesus’ flesh belonged to God, utterly and completely, even though, as Paul said, Jesus had become sin for us, that is, in His flesh.

We overcome in the same way, by refusing ever to call ourselves in our humanity, our flesh, our thoughts, our circumstances, as anything other than God our Father sharing all with us.

Victory over the Enemy. This is the first part of being seized into God and into His throne, that is, eating of the Tree of LIFE. The second part is found in what Jesus said outwardly and did inwardly towards you and me. He placed Himself, in His togetherness with God, as a House in which you and I can dwell. He placed “for the sake of others” as the reason for His everything.

Father, forgive them.” And we also. – And we also. – And we also.

The enemy is an imaginary self separate from God screaming accusation without a cause – Why have You forsaken me? The victory is “Father You are with me, for the sake of others.”

Seized into God. “Father, You share all things with me” is LIFE, seized into God. “For the sake of others” is the throne, and into His throne. Now, how simple and clear is that? It is something every single human is fully capable of doing at any point. It is the silencing of all accusation against God.

Let me now show you what I have done in this lesson by paraphrasing Romans 8:29. Those who come out from God’s thoughts through the good speaking of Jesus are already seized by God into being symmorphosed, sharing all that is human and all that is God, together with Jesus and through Jesus with the Father, as the image and revelation of Jesus Christ, His dear Son, who is the firstborn of many brethren just like Himself, birthed out from the same womb and together as the Church.

Romans 8:29. Romans 8:29 is the definition of the human; Romans 8:29 is God Revealed. You see, I don’t ever teach anything that is not inside of or coming out from the Ruling Verse of the Bible, and neither does God.

Synergeoing with God turning all things good, Rivers of Spirit flowing out bringing life and healing to all, all of this comes out from Father and I sharing each other together, Heart with heart, Soul with soul, in every moment for the sake of others and with all confident expectation of Joy.

Defining the Apocalypse. God’s purpose for the human is to be the Apocalypse, that is, that which makes Jesus known by all as He is, and through Jesus, the Father. It refers to the opening of the eyes on the one hand and the turning on of the light on the other hand, so that all can see that God is good and that Jesus is faithful and true as every word God speaks. Yet by the absence of Paul’s gospel in Nicene Christianity, the best thing that will ever happen to humans has been turned by definition into the most evil thing that will happen to humans.

The Apocalypse is that ability given to humans to be the through-cause of God seen and known inside His creation.

Our Responsibility. I see now that this definition of the Apocalypse is Jesus causing us to share with Him in His great role of mediator. At no point are we “replacing” Jesus; rather, at every point, Jesus is sharing with us Himself, in a small measure of His role as the In-Between.

I have a great responsibility towards God my Father, for apart from my willing participation in sharing life with Him, God cannot ever win His desire of being seen and known. And I have a great responsibility towards all created things, beginning with my brothers and sisters inside the Church, for apart from my sharing life with the Father for their sakes, they will never know God as He is, Good and True.

Our Togetherness. There is a further problem, however. I, by myself as an individual, cannot show people God as He is; only our togetherness as His Church can do that. And so this thing that I, as a human, alone can do for my Father becomes a responsibility to that joining together that causes a local Church to be a Community of Christ.

This is my purpose and ministry, my calling and design forever. This is being SENT as the revelation of God sending Jesus. As the Father has sent Me, I also send you. – That the world might believe that You sent Me. – That the world might KNOW that You sent Me.

Only our togetherness makes this happen.

For Father’s Sake. This is the bottom line. God cannot have what He wants except I give it to Him personally first, and we give it to Him together, second.

This was Jesus’ bottom line – for Father’s sake. We are just like Jesus only when this is our bottom line as well – for Father’s sake.

You are NOT like Jesus when you walk on water or pass through walls. You are a normal human, just like the Lord Jesus Christ, when you enable other created things to know their God by seeing you walk together with your brothers and sisters, loving one another with pure hearts fervently.
