6. Containing God

What is the biggest statement in the Bible, a statement so large that it is bigger than everything else God says put together? What is the statement that we must, by all that is reason and truth, contemplate every day, every moment of our lives forever, a statement that will grow in size in our understanding in all directions without end?

Ephesians 3:19b That you might be filled with all the fullness of God.

Let me ask you a simple question. Why does this phrase not fill the thinking and speaking of all Christian teachers? An honest answer to that question presents a dividing line in your life.

Begin by downloading and printing out the several translations/paraphrases of the Second Most Important Verse in the Bible (below). I would suggest that you memorize the NKJ version, that this word might become Christ Jesus inside of you.

Lesson 6.1 Words and Phrases: Eph. 3:17-19 begins by asking you to consider how Jesus is the bond connecting us with Father and Father with us. Then, the meanings of the Greek words through this incredible set of verses will place you into total awestruck AWE towards the Father's determination towards you.

Lesson 6.2 Custom Made to Fit God expands on the largest obvious implication of this incredible statement, that man was designed by God to contain ALL of God, an implication that has very specific applications to what it means to be a human.

Lesson 6.3 Engage with Containing God engages you with your own definitions of this entity you call "God." What is God? What is man? Ephesians 3:19 must change your mind about these two entities forever. Here is your problem, however; containing all of God inside of you, living every moment with another Person filling your person full, has a track record already established on this planet. People don't like God showing up in the flesh. Thus this lesson ends with the second obvious implication of being filled with all of God, the reality Paul wove all through these three verses.

–  BE rooted and grounded in LOVE.

– KNOW the endless extent of the love of Christ filling you full, a LOVE which passes all knowledge.
