10.2 Speaking the Ministry of Christ

© 2015 Christ Revealed Bible Institute

Just as a stone is cast into the flow of concrete pouring into a form and is then embedded permanently into that concrete as an essential part of its strength, so in “River of Life,” I cast you and me absolutely and permanently into the ministry of Christ. Out of that grounding, speak all the ministry of Christ through you.

This Lesson is primarily your reading and speaking of portions extracted from The Jesus Secret, portions that pertain to the ministry of Christ through us. I cut severely to bring this reading down to a lesson portion, still ending with 28 pages. This lesson text introduces the reading.

Why Prophecy Christ?
The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy (Revelation 19:10b).

God creates and sustains all things by speaking. The all-speaking of God is a Person with a name, the Lord Jesus Christ. God has placed this same Person, this same Word in our hearts and in our mouths.
We believe therefore we speak (2 Corinthians 4:13b).

We do not speak Christ in order to “make something happen.” We speak Christ in order to change our own minds until we believe what God says, what is already true.

Pro-phecy
The Greek prefix “pro” means “beforehand”; thus, outwardly to pro-phesy means to speak beforehand. But all time words referring in any way to God are, as Jesus said, figurative. But Jesus also said, “Now I will tell you plainly of the Father” (John 16:25). We are free, at this end of the age of human folly, to speak of the Father plainly.

God IS. God is ALL HERE NOW Always. There is no “before time” in God. In God “before” means source. Thus to prophecy Christ is not to “predict the future”; to prophecy Christ is to call into visibility God IS.

God Speaks
God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did (Romans 4:17b).

Everything exists inside of God, all and always and all NOW. But nothing inside of God is visible to creation. To come out from God, to become visible, creation must first be spoken. Creation, existing always inside of God, becomes visible out from God by the exercise of God-speaking. God is always speaking Jesus; through Jesus, all creation is continuously sustained. When we speak what God speaks concerning Christ our only life, we come to know God-Is. God-Is becomes visible to us.

Christ versus Accusation
There are two words ONLY by which all humans exist. Every individual I have known, including myself, who begins to speak Christ our only life, finds that this new speaking is opposed violently by their old way of thinking-speaking. Accusation is absolutely familiar to the human, the only story we have known of ourselves. Accusation creates the false human “self.”  Your “self” is the false creation of false accusation.

You are always coming out, every moment, from the good speaking of Christ. Sustaining all by the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3).

Turn Around
To repent is to turn around.

The only way humans ever hear accusation is by turning their backs on the good speaking of Christ always sustaining them and by turning their faces to the voice of the accuser, a voice that causes their imaginations to see themselves as independent, that is, as a “god” all on their own.
When you speak Christ your only life, when you prophecy Christ, you are turning back around to the face and voice of Christ, placing your own mind and heart into harmony with the voice that is already creating and sustaining you.

The demons accusing you will scream. So what! Christ alone is the truth.

God Made Visible
When we speak “I Am” concerning the ministry of Christ, we are calling forth out from God the reality of Jesus our only life. Again, we are not making it “happen.” We are changing our own minds to see what already and only IS. Christ is God made visible.

The reading/speaking assignment that corresponds with this lesson consists of pages from The Jesus Secret that are the speaking of faith concerning some aspect of Christ ministry. As you speak, you are speaking of Jesus. He is speaking through your mouth. Yet Jesus lives in your heart and is the only life you are. Thus you are speaking of your only Self.

Jesus’ Ministry
There is an image of “Jesus’ ministry” held in the minds of most Christians that is only partly accurate. To many, Jesus went around “doing miracles,” healing lepers, opening blind eyes, raising the dead. Yes, those were part of Jesus’ ministry, but not the whole. They were also temporal experiences and NOT age-abiding. Lazarus still died.

You may also have noticed that I did not include an obvious companion verse to rivers of living water flowing out, Matthew 28:18-19, called “the Great Commission.” I did not include that verse only because of the abuse it has become in the church and its awful miss-application.

A Ministry of Love
Never once did John, Paul, or Peter tell their readers to “get out and save the lost” in their epistles. Their focus was entirely on something else. Their focus was on the ministry of love among members of the Church.

As you read/speak concerning the ministry of Christ through you, you will see that, although outward miracles that heal and restore others are part of that speaking, they are not the primary focus. You will see a large emphasis on the miracle of love flowing out from you towards your brothers and sisters in Christ. You will see that the ministry of Jesus is to bless others, to meet their needs, whatever those needs might be.

Speak Out Loud
Feel free to read through the pages from The Jesus Secret, of course, but reading is not the lesson. Find a place by yourself and speak these things out loud with your voice box. Shout them to the heavens. You are changing your own mind with the words of Jesus’ speaking in your mouth. Mark the things that have special meaning to you and speak those out loud again and again. You are speaking Jesus; you are speaking the only Self you are.

The voice of the accuser will hit you with all the familiar stories of your “self.” So what! Keep on speaking Christ until you see Him alone.
