23.4 The Stage Is Set

We must see, now, the larger picture before we venture into the task just ahead, the proving of the Word God speaks and the setting of creation free. Let’s look again at the arrow.
The point of the arrow is the proof of God. The arrow pierces the Father’s heart to open it wide open for all to see and know the Father as He really is. That the proving of your faith … more precious than gold … proven by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:7).
Symmorphy
We know God first by heart, sharing heart with God. That is, as we engage with God in our hearts as the Mercy Seat, as He reconciles each individual person to Himself together with us, we know God by experience, for real. Yes, the knowledge of God enters us as a seed, first, and all of God is in that seed. But we KNOW what is in that Seed only as Christ becomes all that we are and we become all that He is – in our knowing. Symmorphy – becoming what we already are. And we call all that we already are forth by faith, by Christ in our mouths, by asking and believing, and by giving thanks.
Grappling with the Impossible
No word in the Bible can fulfill God’s purpose in us unless we first know what the purpose of that Word is – to join us together as one Person with the Father. – Symmorphy, conformed to His image.
Then immediately, we are thrust into the exploding reality of this God who proposes to become one person with us. We are forced to grapple with the impossible – Being filled with all the fullness of God! – God flowing out from us in mighty rivers of life and power! – Christ the victorious King of the universe casting down all that opposes Him through the words in our mouth.
How Can This Be?
All we can do is ask with Mary, “How can this be?” And the answer comes swiftly – The Holy Spirit overshadows you. – Christ is your life; you have no other life. – Enter boldly with a true heart, sprinkled with Blood, in full assurance of faith. – Boast exultantly in your hope, that you are just like Jesus right now. – Cross – Blood – Resurrection.
And we find ourselves turned around, seated upon the throne of God, our very hearts now the Mercy Seat of God. And we see one another, and we hear the passion of Jesus’ heart beating in our chest – Love one another. And we look out and see our brethren and beyond them the entire creation. And our Father says, out from our hearts, “Set them free.”
His Name Is Jesus
Now we understand why abiding in Christ and Christ in us must be placed last, not because it is last, but because we are simply speechless, without breath. Remember who we are, chosen by God, the foolish, the weak, the has-beens, the failures, the nothings? If it ain’t Jesus, it ain’t. That no flesh should glory in His presence (1 Corinthians 1:29).
We live every moment in complete rest in a Person, a Person who fills our hearts, who loves us, who gave Himself for us, a Person who calls us by name and delights in nothing more than spending time with us, a Person who shares all things together with us – His name is Jesus.
John 14:20
Every element of the Father’s opportunity takes place inside of and is fulfilled out from one place alone – John 14:20, us inside of Jesus and Jesus inside of us. Loving one another is found there alone. Being the Mercy Seat of God is found there alone. Proving the Word God speaks is found there alone. Setting creation free is found there alone. Never, never, never do we take any responsibility upon ourselves, yet in all things that He does, He shares that doing together with us as one person. Jesus and I are one. All that He is I am; all that I am is He.
Desire and Proof
Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me … that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them (John 17:24-26).
Jesus has made it clear what He wants; we have made it clear what we want. Marriage union, symmorphy, two Ppersons walking and living, singing and dancing, thinking and speaking, loving and laughing, together as one, Person inside of person.
Out from this union, then, comes the apocalypse, the revelation, the unveiling of Jesus Christ, the proof that all that God speaks is true.
