20.1 Speak Christ

© 2015 Christ Revealed Bible Institute

Let’s put the great IF of the gospel in rather stark terms; we do that because God made the context of that IF rather stark in Numbers 13 and 14. “Either seize for yourself, entirely inside of Jesus, all the life and reality, place and glory belonging to Him, regardless of your outward appearance or performance, or remain as you are and go your way.”

We do not speak Christ because we want something from God (though we certainly desire God Himself); we speak Christ because it is the only thing God wants to hear from us. God has no desire to hear whining about our “evil” selves coming from our lips; God wants to hear only Christ.

We Are Part of Christ
But God towards us is never negative, only positive, only the good-speaking of Christ. The negative stuff stands as the door to keep out those who would play games with God. We enter in with all confidence.

Hebrews 3:6/14 states that we are part of Christ by three specific characteristics, all describing “confidence.”

1. Freely speaking bold statements in confidence.
2. Boasting exultantly in the unseen, that Christ IS our life, that we are just like Him in relationship with the Father.
3. Living only by the source of our substance, our assurance.

An Outline of Confidence
Just to see where they take us, in this lesson, we will connect freely speaking bold statements with speaking Christ. Next we will connect boasting exultantly in our hope with asking and believing that we have received what we ask; we will then develop asking more fully in Lesson 21.1 Let It Be. Third we will connect the source of our assurance with giving thanks, developing it further as the Gates of Pearls in Lesson 21.2 Count It All Joy. Finally, we will apply the last part of Hebrews 3:6/14, upon firm we should hold, to our constant expectation of God.

And in all of these actions of faith, in every step that we take, we know God ALWAYS leading us in triumph!

The Song of the Lamb
I am filled with such continual joy; I know the secret of Life. Faith is specific to the word God speaks; faith is Christ made personal in and as us. I am bound by bands of life to the Father through every single Word that is Jesus and the Father is bound to me by those same bands, the crossbars of DNA. The Father, invisible and unknowable, sends forth from Himself, not as Himself, else He could not be God, but in and as another Person, the Lord Jesus and as Word.

This Word is spoken; it is sung, the Song of the Lamb. As this Word enters our hearts, we sing as the very Lamb of God; the Word is in our mouth.

Sustaining Words
We do not speak Christ in order to make something happen. We speak Christ so that the Words by which we are sustained every moment might become the only words we know, the only story we tell.

God … speaks us inside, in the sphere of, His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the ages; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and sustaining all things by the word of His power(Hebrews 1:1-4 modified). – That the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus (Philemon 1:6).

The Voice of the Son of God
Our goal, age-abiding life, is to know the Father and to know Jesus Sent. There are two words only. One is the discord of accusation, a voice, a non-word, that can do nothing else except twist the good speaking of Christ into separation. The other word is the voice of the Son of God, the Thesis of the universe. The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself (John 5:25-26).

We live by hearing only one Voice coming out of our mouths.

Our Identity
We KNOW the Father by hearing, that is, vibrating in harmony with, the One voice and not the other. We are in tune either to one Voice or the other. There is no back and forth – sprinkled by blood, no consciousness of sins. At no point is it ever appropriate to hear or to speak any word of identity but Christ our only life.

BUT – we know this Christ living now as us in our present human weakness.
Thus we include our God-designed weakness in the identity of Christ. We never separate Christ from our weakness.

Our Purity

Here is the diagram again of the good speaking of Christ.

What else is there but Christ? There is NO “evil human nature.” Why would Christ speak me evil?

… cleanse ourselves from ALL filthiness of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God (2 Corinthians 7:1). We are pure only by speaking Christ, and by no longer hearing or responding to or speaking accusation.

Heart to Tongue to Eyes
And since we have the same spirit of faith … we also believe and therefore speak (2 Corinthians 4:13). The speaking of the mouth and the believing of the heart are 100% connected by strong and direct bonds. That same cord connecting the heart to the mouth goes on to the eyes, connecting the eyes to the heart through the mouth. We see what we speak; we speak what we believe.

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks (Luke 6:45). – All good or all evil.

Steering the Ship
But then James turns this same connection around. Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member, (yet steers our whole ship).

Read all of James 3:1-12, always keeping in mind that James wrote before Paul received his revelation of Christ our only life, and thus all James writes must be brought under these ten most important verses in the Bible. Yet James’s point is the same. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing (Christ and accusation). My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

What Is Speaking Christ?
That the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. – Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23).

These are the two primary verses of speaking Christ. But first, let’s define the term. What is speaking Christ? To speak Christ is to call myself by all that Christ is. If Christ is my only life (Galatians 2:20), then all that I am right now must be Christ and all that Christ is right now must be me. Calling those things that “be not” as though they are.

As He Is, So Are We
Is this really true? Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this present age (1 John 4:17). Absolute and today. We look at ourselves and know that what we see is what He IS. We look at Christ and know that what we see is what we ARE. Christ becomes Personal as me by every Word that He speaks.

Notice that word, boldness parresian, freedom to speak strong statements in the very Day of Judgment. I speak only Christ. Christ is all there is in me, and I am only inside of Him.

Utter Joy
Knowing Christ Jesus personal as me is the foundation and source of my joy, but knowing Christ connecting me to Father as one person together – by every Word He speaks, that is the upwelling springs of joy in which I now live, the secret of life. [When I say, “speak only Christ,” I am referring to words of identity, our story of self. Normal conversation of family and friends, work and play, exists entirely inside of Jesus.]

I have been speaking Christ my only life, particularly through writing, for nine years now. Through those nine years, I can show you a mighty progression in my own knowing, leap after leap, to the place now that fills me with utter joy, knowing the Father every moment.

Every Word
And it is writing this course that has brought me to this certainty, this symmorphy, braided together with the Father by every Word that is Jesus. I love the Word like I have never known such love before.

That the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

Koinonia
Koinonia has become an English word in my dialect. It means, in part, “what is shared in common as the basis of fellowship” (from biblehub.com). Paul’s words to Philemon are inside this context. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ (1 John 1:3b).
  • Ginomai is the same word that has become “genes” in English, the structure of DNA – “I come into being, I am born.”
  • Energes is our English word “energy” – at work, active; energized, full of effective, operative energy.
  • En – inside, in the sphere of. This takes place encased entirely inside of that.
Acknowledgement
Inside of what?
  • Epignosko: to know exactly, to recognize. I come to know by directing my attention to (the good words of Christ). To know through personal relationship. First hand knowing.
  • Acknowledgement (Webster’s 1926): 1. act of acknowledging: a. an admission, avowal, confession; b. act of owning; c. the owning of a benefit received; d. a declaration or avowal that gives legal validity – to ownership. (This acknowledgement allows the ownership deed to be recorded.) 2. That which evidences the act of acknowledging.
Note that acknowledgment means to speak out loud and thus establish title of ownership.

Every Good Speaking
  • Pantos agathos: all good, intrinsically good, nothing but good.
  • En versus eis: en means “inside the sphere of”; this is INSIDE of that. But eis is stronger, eis means “penetration for a purpose.”
  • Eis connotes full union with Christ.
Acknowledgement is the key word, declaring with my voice full ownership, holding full legal title, to Christ my only life. The Father … who has spoken goodness into us inside the sphere of every spiritual good speaking in the heavenlies inside of Christ (Ephesians 1:3 modified). Every good speaking of purity, life, and power. Every good speaking every moment.

Your Own Voice
I have observed something that is very sad to me, though I know that Jesus carries all. I have observed that a dear believer in Jesus can rejoice in and know all about speaking Christ our only life – for years. Yet, when I look at their words to me or to others, I never see or hear them speak Christ concerning themselves, personally, “Jesus as me,” nor towards others, “Christ is all that you are.” And in the end I know that they never really ever understood the Word of Life that I teach or the Joy in which I live.

There is one thing only that will cause all the Good Speaking of the Father, all the Good Words of Christ that are already sustaining you to become your only story – your own voice.

Hold Fast
Finally, we hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering. This is the second most important commandment of the Bible. It is how we “DO” the first and only commandment of the Bible, Abide in Me and I in you. The formal translation into English words hides the incredible action described by these words. Let’s break them down. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hold fast is to seize with all white-knuckled tenacity, with a grip that is unbreakable.

Speak Our Hope
The confession is to speak, to speak, to shout, to declare, to speak with all boldness, to speak out loud with the voice box, to speak against all other voices, against all wailing cries, to speak.

Our hope is defined specifically by both John and Paul. John states that our hope is that we are just like Jesus before God right now, though we see it not. Paul says that our hope is the redemption of our body, when our physical body is swallowed up forever in the life of Jesus’ resurrected flesh. These two things are the same. As we see the Lord Jesus Christ when we look in the mirror in the middle of the night, we are just like Him, of His flesh and of His bones (Ephesians 5:30).

Speak Christ
Because we are full of God, we are full of faith in God for God is faith full. So let’s paraphrase Hebrews 10:22. With all tenacity of grip, speak Christ, that you are just like Him inside of God right now, speak Christ your only life, Christ all there is in you, against all other voices speak that your flesh IS the very flesh of God, and do not waver in your speaking. God does what He says. God is what He speaks.

On this faith, the gospel of Jesus Christ is founded. Speak Christ your only life, strong words of boldness. God always leads you in triumph inside of Christ.
