20. The Great Reset

John’s vision is a confused mess. Nonetheless, by focusing us on the real issues, I do believe the Spirit of God is bringing the confusing parts into purpose and meaning. This lesson is not a Jesus Secret page. In this lesson I will address three things with the hope of drawing together a number of the parts of the vision yet ahead, so that we might understand how all this seeming mess fits together.

The first topic is divisive; we could call it, “Two Covenants or One?” In Chapter 7 we find the twelve tribes of the children of Israel. Is this a reversion to the old covenant? I hope to give a brief but direct answer to that question.

Further Topics. Our second topic will be the nature of the heavens as they exist and as the environment of much of John’s vision. Then, our third topic will be a look at a reality of humans and human society, something I was slightly aware of before, but which has suddenly become critically important to everything. I will call it “The Great Reset.” These two topics, the nature of the heavens and the Great Reset are intertwined, so we will likely go back and forth between them. A fourth similar topic will have its own lesson titled “Many Battles and One,” an attempt to understand the warfare yet ahead in the vision and in our next few years.

A Divisive Issue. Let’s begin with the divisive issue that enters our discussion in Chapter 7. – And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred forty-four thousand, having been sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel.

Does God maintain a covenant with natural Israel separate from His Covenant with those who, in the present time, believe into Jesus, whether formerly Judean or Gentile? Of truth, we are not actually concerned with the issue of the two covenants here. I recommend that you read through “The Two Covenants,” Chapter 2 in my book, The Covenant. This chapter gives a Biblical and definitive argument establishing the elimination of the old covenant.

The Mortal Wound. What we are concerned with here is a massive and planned attack against the New Covenant that has come into the experience of the Church over the last 100 years. I do not want to bring much history into this present study, however, rather, a snapshot, on occasion, of today’s reality.

The head of the beast, one of seven, that was wounded unto death, but now lives, came “alive” in 1948 as the establishment of a nation in the Middle East by certain Ukrainians claiming to be the children of Jacob. The “mortal wound” was first the cross, and then the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 culminating with the destruction in central Europe from 1942 to 1947.

Attacking the New Covenant. Now, one of [the beast’s] heads was as if it had been wounded into death. And the wound of its death was healed. Then all the earth marveled after the beast (Revelation 13:3). The “earth” in John’s vision is Christianity. The attack against the New Covenant, by a false “resurrection” of the old covenant and the nation it already put to death, was designed specifically to get all Christians on earth to marvel after the beast and to worship the wound that was healed.

What we want to know here is the meaning of this wicked attack against Jesus and against His Blood as it exists in our world today in the fulfillment of John’s vision.

The Day of Slaughter. There is only one fulfillment of the old covenant, and that is death, for NO human keeps to their side of that covenant. Yet the death engendered by the fulfillment of the old covenant was so great that it reached out to include, not just all the natural descendants of Abraham, but all humanity born out from Adam, including Abraham himself. Every child of Israel perished in the day of slaughter that we call “the cross.” None survived.

If One died for all, then all died (2 Corinthians 5). This is the core and beginning of “The Great Reset,” which we will consider in just a bit. All reality today is found only inside of Jesus’ Resurrection; all other “restoration” is fake.

Speaking Slander. As Jesus told Saul of Tarsus, an attack against the Church is an attack against Jesus Himself in Person.

And a mouth was given to the beast, speaking great boastings and slanders… Then it opened its mouth into slanders against God, to slander His name and His tabernacle, those dwelling in heaven (Revelation 13:5-6). Specifically, this is the SLANDER against the Church that fills Christian thinking today, that the Church of Jesus Christ now upon this earth is a FAILED experiment. Out from that slander comes the belief that God has to go back to the old because the New DOES NOT WORK!

Great Boasting. The statement today, “Jesus and the Jews” is a great boast against the Cross and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus. It is, to put it mildly, the archaic term, “blasphemy.”

Now, it is quite true that the seven demons sitting as seals upon the Church make her appear to be a “failed experiment.” But all such boasting fails to take into account the power and value of the Lamb and of those who are with Him in all things. And as such, what we are calling “The Great Reset” will also be known as the great upset, for the Lamb will overcome all slander against Him claiming that He cannot save.

Rejecting Slander. Placing the Jesus of Revelation upon a restoration of natural Israel is a concept that did not exist in any Christian’s mind prior to around 120 years ago. Yet to most today, the firstfruits and the two witnesses are a full return to the Old Testament, with no regard for the New Covenant in Jesus’ Blood.

We reject this slander absolutely. We find one thing only inside the unveiling of Jesus Christ and that is Jesus unveiled in His Church. All who are alive in God today, whatever they were before the cross, have believed into Jesus and are members with us of His Body. Every other claim slanders Christ.

The Meaning of the Names. This conclusion, then, establishes our approach to the “twelve tribes of Israel” found in Revelation 7. The “twelve tribes” mentioned are a metaphor to us of qualities of God expressed as His Kingdom arising out from the heavens. As such, I will include a brief meaning of each of the twelve names of Jacob’s sons and grandsons mentioned in Chapter 7, out from two sources, first the meaning of the names as they were given and also from Jacob’s blessing in Genesis 49. These meanings do fit into the next lesson, “We Have the Seal of God.”

A Scroll Rolled Up. Let’s now turn to our two other topics, woven together. Consider these two very strange statements found in the description of the removal of the final two seals.

And heaven was swept aside, like a scroll being rolled up. – There was silence inside of heaven for about half an hour.

Yes, this is part of understanding the realms of the heavens. But there is a concept in these lines that must rule all our thinking of the present time in which we live. Removing the seals is about opening up the Scroll to be read by all. So what is this “heaven” being rolled up as a scroll at the same time? And what is “silence” in heaven?

A Living Planet. Earth is a living planet; that means that God breathed a heaven upon it. No natural life can exist without the all-pervasion of the energeia and life of Spirit. Think about the earth and all human interaction around you. Understand that all of that operates only inside the heavens, that spiritual is woven all through physical, for good or for evil.

The statement “to slander those dwelling in heaven” does not mean those who lost their physical bodies and are no longer alive upon the earth. It means those who live and walk in the full knowledge of God with them.

Evil in Heaven and Earth. Powerful people make use of the anointing of powerful demons. Controlling human structures operate by using controlling demonic structures. Spirit-anointed Christians live and move in full conjunction with demon-anointed unbelievers in every step taken on this earth. In the same way, angels and demons live and move in the same spaces with one another.

Paul said that we are at war with evil in heaven. Victory cannot show itself in human affairs, including inside the Church, except it show itself in the heavens first.

Authority. In all of this great interweaving of all things in the heavens and all things in the earth, the dynamic interaction of spirit filling physic and physic operating out from spirit, man is the master. We must understand that absolute reality.

Except, in resurrecting Jesus from the grave, God transferred the authority He had given to Adam onto Jesus. Thus Jesus said, after His resurrection, “All authority inside of heaven upon earth has been given to Me.” This same Jesus now fills all who are part of His Church, the Body and fulness of Christ.

Whether Life or Death. The Church of Jesus Christ rules the earth and all the affairs of human society, for life or for death. As Christians continue to eat of the knowledge of good and evil, so they continue to send forth the same river of death into all heaven-earth, just as Adam did. Those Christians who eat of the Tree of Life send forth a River of Life into those same spaces of heaven-earth.

All created things, whether in the heavens or upon the earth, including dead humans in a state of hades, live and move and have their being ONLY inside the Spirit of God. But the Knowledge of God comes only through the Church.

Altering Everything. As I am writing these explanations, I am thinking of a number of elements and lines yet ahead in John’s vision. But the biggest is the meaning of “And they overcame him.” In fact, more than any other of the ruling verses, our entire exposition of Revelation is but an exposition of Revelation 12, and specifically verses 10-11.

Revelation 12:11 is humans on this earth altering the fabric of the heavens and of all heaven-earth. That single action is at the center of what I am now calling “The Great Reset.” We can understand this great reset only as we live in the dynamic awareness that everything of earth exists in and is animated by everything of the heavens.

Restarting a Computer. With our present day use of computer technology, we have a good idea of the meaning and purpose of a “reset,” also called a “restart.” If your computer is operating sluggishly, it could be that it simply needs to be shut off and then restarted so that the software by which it operates can be rebooted fresh and new. Restarting a computer can resolve operational issues.

The software is the WORD by which everything inside a computer operates. The shut off and restart is the power, or we could say, the Spirit that operates everything by word. When the old word is weighted down with flaws, a reboot, bringing the word again brand new, resolves the problems.

Out from Marxism. Let’s now define the meaning of the term “the great reset” as it is used by those wicked rulers of this earth who imagine themselves to be in control. “Reset” is a new word for a principle of Marxism best demonstrated in Cambodia, but which operated in similar ways in all Marxist takeovers. – Kill everything old, and let the “new” arise from the chaos.

The problem with that overt kind of reset is that it did not work. As George Orwell pointed out in Animal Farm, the “new” was the same as the “old,” just a different set of faces in the places of power. And in all cases, people could never be so subdued.

Violence and Sorcery. The fake “Great Reset” is a re-brand of that old Marxist principle. You see, overt violence did not produce the right results in any country where it was used. We are talking about the issues set out by George Orwell in 1984 and Aldous Huxley in A Brave New World. Orwell gave us the picture of a boot stomping on the human face, but Huxley suggested that control would come by making humans love their chains.

Those who imagine they are in control now understand that both approaches must be used together. They still plan a moment of “turning everything off,” but with less violence and more psychology and drugs, that is, sorcery.

Areas of Shutdown. In essence, the shut down and restart that these controllers imagine is intended in a number of different areas at once. One arena is world finance, to bring to an end all existing money, so that a “new” digital money, can take its place. Political power is being reset by making the present system to be a total joke so that everyone will accept a new system. Another area of reset is called “transhumanism,” that is, the alteration of human DNA as well as the merging of the human body with computer technology. This is imagined to be a new step in “evolution.” There are other resets planned, including energy and human population, a complete shutoff, and then “the new.”

The Motive Is Death. A significant reality of this fake “reset” is that in-between the “shut-down” and the “reboot” is the death of billions of people. The desired outcome is around 500 million left.

One final note before we look at the real Reset. The question arises, why would people do something so wicked? There is a difference in motivation between humans and angels. Humans want power over, but angels want death. The evil one does not come to “give power,” but to kill and to destroy. Humans want a fight between good and evil, but fallen angels want a river of death. There are wicked people who see themselves as good and Christians as evil, but the real controllers want only death.

The Real Reset. Now, in all of this discussion of the fake “great reset,” we are talking about the losers, about those who imagine they are “in control” even though they are without real power. All authority inside of heaven upon earth resides inside the Church filled with the Lord Jesus, His physical Body. All power is God-through-us.

Let’s start with the Scriptural foundation of the real “Great Reset” – 2 Corinthians 5. If anyone is inside of Christ, he is a New Creation. The old things are already gone; look and see, the New has already become. And all things are out from God.

Substance and Appearance. Old things are already gone; the New has already become. This is absolute reality right now, but no one knows it because Christians do not believe it.

In talking about the reset, then, we are referencing entirely God’s principle of substance and appearance. There is a reset in substance first, and then a reset in appearance second. The reset in substance was Jesus’ death and resurrection. The reset in appearance is us now, at the completion of this age, swallowing up death and sending forth life. The second is always coming out from the first.

The Shutdown. Here is the absolute reality of everything that exists in all heavenly realms and all physical realms of the universe. – All through Him become, and without Him not even one thing becomes that has become. – This Son is the shining forth of glory and the character and exact reproduction of God’s substance, bringing forth, carrying, and sustaining all by His word of power (John 1:3 & Hebrews 1:3).

Here is the shutdown of the old, inside of substance. – So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. – If One has died for all, then all have died (John 19:30 & 2 Corinthians 5:14).

The Reboot. Everything of the original creation existed only by and out from the speaking of God that is Jesus. When Jesus “went silent” upon the cross, in substance, the entirety of the original creation ceased. Here is the reboot, from Ephesians 2. – That from the two, He might create inside Himself one new man, making peace… having killed in that cross the hostility.

The river of death, the song of death, inserted into the original creation by Adam, was not substance in any way, but appearance only. But it was a song of discord sung by all humans hiding themselves from the reality of the God in whom they exist.

The Whole Reset. We must have the whole passage, the whole reset.

Now, however, Christ has been raised out from the dead, the firstfruit of those having died. For since through man death, through man also the resurrection of the dead. For as indeed, inside of Adam all die, so also inside of Christ all will be made alive. Each, however, in their own order: the firstfruit Christ, then those of Christ inside of His presence, then the completion, when He shall give the kingdom to Father God, when He shall have rendered inoperative all other sources and authorities and powers. For it is fitting for Him to reign until He shall have placed all the enemies under His feet.

Rendered Inoperative.
The last enemy to be rendered inoperative is death. “For He has arranged all under His feet.” When it says, however, that all has been placed under, it is evident that the One having placed all under [that is, Father God] is excepted. Now, when He [Father God] shall have placed all under Him [Christ Jesus], then also the Son Himself will be placed under the One having placed all under Him, so that God may be all inside of all (1 Corinthians 15:20-28). 

Here is right now, Jesus through us into the appearance of this world, into all things. – When He shall have rendered inoperative all other sources and authorities and powers.

By Life and Love. We are rendering inoperative the entire river of death. We are rendering inoperative the singing of discord and falseness, of lying and unbelief and accusation. We are rendering inoperative all the powers and influences of the appearance of this world, whether human or angelic. We are casting down the one who accuses our Christian brethren.

But we are doing all of this – by sending forth a river of life, by giving thanks inside of and for the sake of all, by blessing without curse, by singing a new song, the Song of the Lamb, by giving ourselves to Father for the sake of all.

Death Swallowed up by Life. What I hope to convey through all this is the LARGENESS of our task. We are NOT “making the world a better place.” We are altering the fabric of all appearance everywhere. We are bringing forth an entirely new world, a new heavens and a new earth. We are swallowing up death with LIFE!

There was silence inside of heaven for about half an hour. – Because we are singing the Song of the Lamb. And heaven was swept aside, like a scroll being rolled up. – Because we are unrolling the true Scroll, every Word God speaks, faithful and true, written upon the Church.

The Key That Opens. Inside the true Reboot, the “two” becoming one inside of Christ Jesus is referencing the old split between the children of Israel and all other ethnic peoples. Revelation is all about the New Substance becoming the New Appearance entering into the knowledge of all. Notice that Jesus killed forever that old split upon the cross.

Now we have the key that will open to us the remainder of Revelation. We will know Chapter 10, especially, out from this key. We will also have a box titled “The Great Reset,” also out from this lesson, possibly in Lesson 23, “We Are the Trumpet Sound.”

Reading for Next Time. The next lesson is titled “We Have the Seal of God.” For that lesson, read all of Revelation Chapter 7 two or three times in the JSV.

And I saw another angel… holding the seal of the living God. He cried with a loud voice… saying, “Do not do wrong against the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.”

Notice that this entire chapter is a parenthesis coming in-between the removal of the sixth and the seventh seals. It is a depiction of the success of this deliverance service. It points to the opening of the Scroll.

Let’s Pray Together. “God, our Father, we ask You to anoint us with Your Devoted Spirit for this wondrous task You have given to us. Anoint us to believe the Word You are speaking to us; anoint us to know the Lord Jesus inside our hearts.

“Give us Your wisdom; give us Your Words to speak, that we might be Your entrance into Your Church upon this earth, that she also might believe into You. Cause us to be Your provision and Your protection for Your people all over this earth by the Spirit.

“Let all the Life You have given us here inside of Mercy return to You again, carrying all who love You inside of it. We know that You hear us, Father, here, inside of Jesus.”
