17. Love Dispels Death

© Daniel Yordy – 2020

Love: The liking of others; the simple delight of others in their persons and in their expressions; tender and passionate affection; setting forth one’s soul for others, that, in the midst of personal confusion and pain, they and Father can come together inside one’s heart; the very DOORWAY of God. The source in God of creation and all things. Death: The extreme conclusion of arrogant superiority and contempt, that since the Atonement of Jesus is not enough, something far greater is needed to attain to the lust for “above-ness,” and that is the elimination of human flesh, my weakness gone; the greatest accusation against God in existence, that is, “only death can connect me with ‘God.’”

This is the door of fountain or source; that is, Door 4 is Source.

And this is why God placed the most important verse in the Bible as the ruling verse.

Those whom He Pro-Knows.

Two fountains or sources of all things, that is, two “Gods” – living in and coming out from Love – or – living in and coming out from a fantasy of ourselves, the real meaning of Death.

What is my source? From whence do we come? What is our connection with God? These are questions seldom asked, but always assumed as a rule underneath of everything.

The Door of Source closed is death; but the Door of Source flung wide open is Love, we love others because God first loves us. Love is the cause of all things that exist, not just as origin, but as the sustaining power inside every moment.

What does that Door of Source wide open to God mean in our lives? And what is God free to be inside of and through us as He enters as that Door?

Let’s set aside our discussion of our victory over the seals that bind and consider, for a moment, these two questions. What is my source? From whence do we come? These two questions are the vanguard of another important question – Where do I belong?

As a crude example, if a car part is manufactured in a Ford plant, one would assume that it belongs in a Ford vehicle.

These questions belong to that strange equation called human identity. Animals, angels, rocks, and plants have no struggle over an “identity”; only humans do. And humans struggle over identity because we are created to be filled with another Person. We are created symmorphic, just like God.

And so, in human identity, “from whence do I come” has typically been answered with natural family and biological descent. In our world today, this historical definition of “source,” has faded with the rise of two other source identities. The first is self – “I am a self-made man.” Or, “I belong to myself, and I will do whatever I please.” The second is group, except NOT as an enlarged family, as most “nations” once saw themselves, but rather in Marxist terms, that is “group” as a class of people who share the same mind and struggle. In this way of thinking, there are no individuals; you are the group and you can’t be anything else.

Now, most Christians would say, “I’m here because God put me here.” But that’s not really what we mean. That connection is too distant. Here we are speaking of right now, from whence do you come right now. What is your source right now.

In the end, humans as a whole argue one thing only – my SELF. All my intentions, my life and breath, all of it is coming out from ME. Some, of course, take on the vague concept of “all is one,” an idea that has no actual meaning, since it does not recognize and honor persons. One who believes “all is one” will show their true beliefs the moment you take their stuff. Then you will discover that SELF is as immediate to them as to anyone else.

I did not know that source and belonging were even an issue until I looked long and hard at a short little phrase in Hebrews 1 – sustaining all things by the Word of His power, just before I started writing the Symmorphy texts. This is one of those statements that, if true, it must RULE, and if it does not rule and define everything, then nothing in the Bible can be true.

Having set these ideas out there, then, let’s return to the opening of the Doors.

Defining the Open Door:
Virtue #4: The proof of Christ through me, the certain knowing that God is my only source, that I am coming every moment out from the All-Carrying One through the good-speaking of Jesus sustaining me and carrying me in every moment. The certain knowing that God is Love, and that the driving intention behind all that I am is the passionate expression of that Love. This knowing, then, is demonstrated by the action of “turning around,” of no longer “seeking to find” God, but now being, in every moment, His expression through faith. And this action results in the discovery of the true meaning of “death,” and that is the human fantasy that “I” am my own source, with no immediate connection to God.

Virtue #4: My active involvement with the Father as my immediate and only Source.

Here is something that has happened. In the first three Doors, as we opened them to the Lord, it was Jesus to us, Jesus through us to others, and Jesus with us towards the Father. Our turning around, then, is the completion of this task of Jesus Sent, which is to join us in all ways with the Father, that God might dwell in and make Himself known through us.

God-in for Us:
It is easy for me to trace my opening of the first three Doors to God in the ongoing circumstances of my life over an eight-year period from 2006 to 2014. But “turning around” in the Holiest is a concept that came into my understanding slowly from the summer of 2013, when I read “Sealed in the Midst of the Storm” into audio, until the last part of 2014 when my eyes opened to the necessary meaning of “sustaining all things by the word of His power.”

Yet I was seeing only that my source was the continuous good-speaking of Jesus causing me to be, sustaining me in every moment, and carrying me all the way through. It was not until I wrote “Pro-Knowing,” found in Symmorphy IV: Covenant,  in June of 2017, that I saw, for the first time, our true source. Our source is one thing only, all the thoughts inside of God concerning us. Those thoughts are God, and they become us only as Jesus speaks those thoughts and we are.

Nothing exists any other way. – Knowing that God-Love is our only source, then, is what turns us entirely around. We are no longer searching for ourselves/God, instead, we are being ourselves as Father through us.

Here are two diagrams that show the importance of source, not in reality, for there is no other source, but in our knowing, for what is real can be known only through faith first.

A Diagram of Turning Around.jpg

“I am responsible for myself” is capable of producing moral conduct (or not), but the one thing that self-as-source will never produce is the Love of God through us. In the end, the best human morality must still die, for it is coming only out from death.

“To turn around” means to know God as our Source through the good-speaking of Jesus; it is the only way we find where we belong. Notice in the diagram that before we turned around, we were reaching, out from ourselves, towards a “God” who could be known only through Death. After turning around, out from Father with us, we are reaching for loving one another as the revelation of God inside of creation. There is no veil in our view anymore.

Defining the Door Closed
In complete contrast, holding that door tightly closed and locked is a simple thing; it is the continual declaration that “I” am my own source, that “I am responsible for myself.” Most do not phrase this idea consciously; nonetheless, this is what they live out from, that there is nothing else but themselves out from which they proceed in every moment.

The statement, “I am a SINNER, saved by grace,” then, is the statement of a Christian continuing in the same death of Adam, that “I” exist as a self all on my own. Always “seeking to do God’s will and not my own” is a symptom of this same delusion, that “I” as a self-generator, a “god,” must take hold of myself and make myself go in this direction instead of that.

Doing whatever one feels like doing seems to the self as being the opposite of moral conduct, but it’s the same thing, for either way, excess or restraint, doing good or doing evil, self still calls itself by not-God. – Life is entirely different. Life is another Person in me, that is, symmorphy.

Keeping God Out
The creation of “I myself” in the Christian imagination, then, is the simple and effective way to maintain the delusion of control and is the central power keeping God out. At the same time, the un-Biblical doctrine that the goal of the believer is to “go to” heaven after physical death, that “salvation” means being in heaven and not on earth, is the single greatest blockage in the Christian mind to the knowledge of Christ revealed in them.

Oh, we’ll know what that means only after we are dead.”

By this one means, all the ruling verses of the gospel are excluded from Christian thinking.

At the same time, continuing to define one’s self as “coming out from the death of Adam,” is the single most effective block against “Christ lives in my heart through faith.” In fact, those who do believe in Christ in us, still define themselves first by Adam’s death. In this way death proceeds into death, and “love one another” becomes a nice but irrelevant side show.

The False Call
What, then, is the “God” who is called falsely through an otherwise closed Door 4 into the knowledge of Christians?

Calling God in falsely through a closed Door 4 is the imposition of a God of control, a “God” who is the executioner of death. This “God” is further away from humans than any other false calling of God. To most non-Christians, this is the “God” of Christianity.

Yes, I am suggesting that the fourth horseman of the apocalypse is the image and definition given to “God” in the western world. To be “like” this God is to hold the power of violence over all. It is the “God” who controls everything coming into everyone’s life, solely to inflict his judgment against them. It is the “God” who demands everything and cannot ever be satisfied, just as death does.

Once, one of our truck drivers at the Blueberry Community stopped his log truck on the side of the Alaska highway for a moment. A man and a boy were driving by in a vehicle; the man did not see the corner of the truck and hit it head on. Both were killed.

One of the elders took this opportunity to preach to us the “fear of God,” only this was not the true fear of God, but the fear of “death as God.” He brought in an instance of a young man who had left one of the communities in rebellion and been killed a few days later. The bottom line of his message was, “If you don’t get with the program and submit to the elders, God just might kill you.” He did not say it in those words, but that is what we heard and even believed.

Death as “God.”

Indeed, the whole definition of “heaven” has become a “God” who is found only inside of Death. Both “Gone to meet his maker,” and “Gone to his reward” mean that “God” is found only inside of Death.

Look at this progression, for now we are beginning to understand so much. It took the first three seals closed against God, the seal of an arrogant and separated “Christ,” the seal of despising other Christians, and the seal of limiting the Atonement, to arrive at Death as “God,” with hades following always in his wake.

Then, the final three seals against God in the minds of Christians flow naturally out from, and are the only possible response to, such a “God” – unbelief, dishonest pretending, and accusation.

The True Call
But look at the nature and qualities of our Father, a symmorphic God, a God who carries all, a God as different from death as one can imagine.

I just read through 1 John 3-4 in the rough JSV and found John saying everything I have said in this letter thus far.  Holding other Christians in contempt prevents such a one from ever knowing the love of God, for they remain in death. It is no wonder, then, that they define “God” by death. Yet John says so clearly that we come out from God every moment, that is, we come out from Love.

Beloved, we should actively love one another; because love is always flowing out from God; and everyone loving out from God has been conceived of God and knows God. The one not loving has not known God; because God is love (1 John 4:7-8 – rough JSV).

I will not use the space here to bring in the many other things in these two chapters that are the same as the definitions I have given you in this letter. The Calvinist translations work to hide John’s claims that you and I come every moment out from God-Love and that God lives inside of us. The JSV of 1 John is still in rough draft stage; as it is now, however, it is closer to the Greek words John used.

God does not know death, and there is neither death nor evil nor injustice inside of God. Yet Jesus, in the midst of human-imposed death, shows us God as He is, a God who, even while He is being abused in utmost contempt, carries all inside Himself all the way into life.

Here is one form of the true call of God-Love, the letter found in Knowing Jesus as He Is.

"The first thing I know about you is that the Lord Jesus Christ, Himself in Person, lives inside of your heart. And because I also believe in Jesus, I know that God is telling me the truth when He tells me that His love is shed abroad in your heart through the Holy Spirit whom He has given to you.

"For that reason, I know without any shadow of contradiction that you love me more than I can know. I know that you think more highly of me than you do of yourself. I know that you lay down your life for me. I am humbled and silenced by your love for me, for I know how costly it is.

"Do not be concerned about doing anything that would cause me to doubt how much you love me. Regardless of anything you might do, say, or even think about me, I believe in the Jesus who lives inside of you, and I know that the love of God through you for me is without end."

Comparing False with True
And so calling God in falsely through Door 4 is every form of torturing people in the name of “God-Love.” This includes all “Christian” doctrine that does the same on the inside if not on the outside.

I have read stories set in the times of Catholic inquisition in which the priest inflicting physical pain upon a heretic truly believed that he was moving in the true love of God and even “felt that love” towards his victim. I am talking about sincerity of heart, even within “I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh.” You see, by torturing this one now, the priest truly believed that he was saving the heretic from the fires of hell, that is, Death as “God” with hades following in its wake.

Yet I recently attended a Spirit-filled Calvinist church. The pastor, a precious brother in the Lord, drew the congregation into the love of God with the vision of entering into Christ our life, and then drove them away with the awfulness of a God of control and death, back and forth, back and forth. It was all he knew.

I felt as if I were being tortured, not for myself, but for all who sit under such awfulness.

Two types of calling God-IN. You possess a fallen human nature that is contrary to God of itself; death alone will connect you with God – or – you are coming out from the love of God through the good speaking of Jesus every moment. You walk beneath of others with God; that is, you walk in Love.

To a false prophet of Door 4, the Christian is far away from a distant and aloof God who controls everything outward, but nothing inward, and therefore uses violence as an ineffective means of “making Jesus Lord.”

To a true prophet of Door 4, the Christian is coming out from and utterly carried by a God who carries all inside of Love, all the way through the appearance of death and into life.

To a false prophet of Door 4, the start position of the Christian is death and the assumption is that one naturally lives inside of hate. “Love,” then, is set as an obligation of human performance, something few, if any, ever “achieve.”

To a true prophet of Door 4, the love of God already poured out in the heart of every believer is all there is to be known. The true prophet humbles him or herself before such Love, even in the heart of the one who appears most unloving.

To a false prophet of Door 4, the hope and goal of the Christian is to die and “go to” heaven. Only Death has the power to transform us from being all-wicked to becoming “better.”

To a true prophet of Door 4, because the believer in Jesus is always coming out from God-Love, therefore, loving one another is our only goal, that is, God among us, that is, Father-Revealed.

The True Dispels the False
How, then, does the true calling of God into other believers through Door 4 dispel as a meaningless vapor that false calling of death as source and death as goal?

Here is something we have to understand. Death in the real world is the simple and inevitable consequence of humans refusing life. Yet this refusal of life is not passive or solitary. Rather, all false speaking that generates and sends forth the river of death into our world comes out from this very refusal by Christians to turn around and to live inside of and out from a God of life and love.

It takes only a handful of people living inside of and coming out from God-Love, to turn the river flowing into this present age from death into LIFE. Yet this handful of people must know Christ proven inside of, as, and through them, not as individuals, but as one body together. They must know “God Among Us” as all their connections together, even when they do not feel or act in “loving” ways.

Turned Around.jpg
Consider the diagram again of living turned around. That arrow is you and me; that arrow is the River of Life. And the passage from you and me to the River of Life is our placing of God our Father as all our connections together.

Calling other believers in Christ by Jesus living as them, regardless, is the end of contempt. And calling our life together by God among us, regardless, is the end of death.

Calling God in through the Door of Source must first begin for each one of us personally, as we live out from the knowing of Father as our only Source, becoming us through the good-speaking of Jesus. Yet the River of Life that will transform our world can come only out from us together, loving one another, that is, calling our every interaction by God-Love.

The River of Life must flow out from Christ Community.

Let us Pray
“Father, I am coming out from You, from Your wondrously blessed thoughts concerning me, as Jesus speaks those thoughts and You become part of my every moment. And Father, my only view forward now is You among us believers together as all our connections together, God-Love always the only thing among us. For that reason, Father, as I look at the people around me in my world, I see that they also are coming only out from You, and that You carry them utterly inside Your stumbling Son, even including all their sin and shame. And Father, just as I see Christ as all their Completion, so I see You as their only Source.

“Oh, my Father, how I would share Hheart with You! I believe, and I know that I do.”

The Meaning of God-Through
What does this wide open Door 4, the Door of Source, mean, then, for God’s entrance into His creation through and then beyond us?

This is the true pivot, opening this Door to God turns everything around. Opening the first three Doors allows us to open this Door of Source, and opening this Door of Source, then, becomes the cause of the other three Doors, God revealed through us, to be opened wide to our Father.

Indeed, we are speaking of this same world in which we live, except that everyone now sees that all things are truly coming out from God-Love, out from a God who carries all, and everything is truly tending towards goodness, towards all finding their true place inside of belonging to “love one another,” that is, the full Completion of Christ.
