46. Proving the Spirit

The audio is from the Zoom meeting. Everything that is written here is read in the audio, but much more expansion is also given. This audio is mostly unedited, however. That means you get the same coughs, pauses, and other noises that are heard by those joining live.

As we go through each of these five superpowers, we want to address four things. First, we will consider the need for this power in people’s lives and second the impact it has on them. Third, we will mention briefly the opposition of the false, countered by the proving of Christ faithful and true, and fourth, we will show how Father enters our world through this power and its Victory.

Proving Forgiveness
Every single human possesses at the core of their being the deepest sense that “I have offended God.” This is both one-half of the core material of the false story of self that they spin and the cause of the other half, which is contempt for other humans. Thus every fake self-story spun by humans is purposed to deny the fact that “I have offended God and am worthy of death.”

Here is the first time this evil story-telling was put in place by humans. – Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden (Genesis 3:7-8).

You see, we have two things happening in this savage reaction of wickedness against God, this – “I am ashamed of looking like God.” The second thing happening is the weaving of every false hideout all taking place inside the human psyche. That self-inflicted horror must be dealt with by our second superpower – proving deliverance.

But before deliverance can happen, the first part of what we see taking place in these verses and copied by every human ever born since must be removed. That is, the superpower of forgiveness must do its mighty work first, by removing the cause of all the hiding – the actual, brutal, wicked, cruel, and uncalled-for sin against God.

That every mouth might be closed, and the entire cosmos brought under judgment before God (Romans 3:19). I tell you what, it takes an incredible amount of focused God-power just to bring one human voice to silence before God. We do not possess that power, but the Spirit does. Yet the Spirit waits upon our authority to exercise that power.

Forgiveness comes only to those who have closed their mouths, who have stopped all denial and all vile attempts to justify their wicked hurt against the One who sustains them.

All condemnation is self-inflicted and all condemnation is just. What do humans do? Every moment every human alive refuses and rejects the goodness of Jesus sustaining them. To beat a three-year-old child daily for no reason is offensive to any sane person; refusing the One who sustains and carries you is a greater perversity.

The greatest thing that could ever be done by any perverse human, Christian or non-Christian, it makes no difference, is to say, “Please forgive me, I was wrong,” and to mean it truly. This is what God means by the word, “Silence.”

We do NOT have any outward power to bring any human to silence, nor would we ever try. Bringing to silence is the work of the Devoted Spirit, albeit by our authority. BUT – we do have the power to forgive. Forgiveness is a power we share together with that same Devoted Spirit.

And what is our power to forgive? It is the Blood upon the Throne upon which we sit. There is no greater power, no greater value, than the Blood upon which we sit.

There is one thing only that PROVES to all creation the value and power of that Blood, and that is our superpower to Forgive. Forgiveness of sinful words and actions against God is the first proof of Christ faithful and true through us. This is incredible power.

Consider these words. – That you, being rooted and grounded in love… and to know even more the surpassing, beyond-all knowledge of the love of Christ (Ephesians 3:17-19).

Only the forgiven can dwell in such a place as this, and only those who carry NO sufficiency in themselves, no perverse attempt to deny or finagle or justify themselves before God or before others, or to prove themselves “right and true” instead of Christ, can know the meaning of dwelling inside of this Love.

The so-called “search for inner peace” is nothing other than the attempt to silence the just self-condemnation every human who strikes against the Lord Jesus every moment normally feels, to silence that self-judgment apart from entering through forgiveness into the Love of Christ.

And so the power to forgive is not something we hold in ourselves. It does you no good at all for me to forgive you. The only thing that does anyone any good is to receive that forgiveness.

This power to forgive, then, is the power to draw any human soul out from their own tangled web of self-inflicted hades into the beyond-all knowledge of the love of Christ. This is the first power of the Devoted Spirit, a power that goes forth only from our human authority.

The false prophet speaking against this power is the angry voice of every human, “Don’t judge me,” when it is only themselves condemning themselves and rightly so. Yet the moment that false voice fails, what do they find? They find that all their life is and has been Christ alone.

That moment, then, of receiving forgiveness, of accepting that my life is good, my life is coming out from Jesus every moment, that moment of giving thanks inside of and for the sake of all things, of rejoicing in being a weak human as the very image and likeness of God, that moment is the first and necessary doorway opened in them for the entrance of God into their world. This doorway opens only as the Father and we implant forgiveness together.

Proving Deliverance
Bondage is one thing only, bondage is all the many spins of fictional self-story designed entirely to hide from the savagery of attack being engaged against a kind and carrying God. People aren’t really hiding from God; they are hiding from their own wicked attack against God.

The purpose of every hiding place is to justify self, to silence all thought that “I” continue to strike endless pain against the heart of God.

Demons do NOT bring people into bondage. Humans, weaving their own prison cells in their continuous hiding from God call on demons to help hide their own minds and hearts from the penetration of forgiveness into them.

Hades is an incredible and seemingly endless psychological perversity. Hades is the normal response taking place inside humans who are rejecting the good words sustaining them. Hades has no other cause.

Demons are very involved in all human bondage, but they provide their assistance, their “numbing” abilities, only at the authority and command of their human masters. Certainly, they offer suggestions, and certainly, they make the bondage appear to be overwhelming. But that is their only power, the power of suggestion and sensation.

We could think of it this way, picturing the self-built prison walls as a beaver dam. Humans provide the sticks that are the structure of the prison walls, and demons provide the mud that holds the sticks all together.

Effective deliverance, then, undoes both sticks and mud at the same time.

We have the authority to deliver, the Devoted Spirit has the power. This is our second great superpower, the power to sweep away all the hiding places, that the human might step into the love of God.

You can see that the power of forgiveness and the power of deliverance must always be working together.

In my experience in spiritual warfare and deliverance times, we spent an average of two hours in focused prayer for each individual. Some claim that Jesus just cast the demons out in a moment, but they are missing the purpose. Yes, the demons fled near the end of that two-hour time period, but they fled only because the person being prayed for had forgiven and found forgiveness. The person being prayed for no longer “needed” the demons, and thus they had no more hold.

Forgiveness comes first; deliverance comes second, but they must be together.

Just as forgiveness must be personal to each individual, so also deliverance is the same. Some like to wage war against generalized demonic powers over a city or country, but that focus gives too much credit to the demons. Humans are the problem, not demons.

A larger demonic hierarchy exists, most certainly, but they mean nothing at all to any son of God who is focused on drawing this one human out from his or her own hades.

I possess the keys of death and of hades (Revelation 1:18). This is Jesus speaking, the Jesus who is our entire and only life.

The keys of death come into our picture when we get to the superpower of healing, but the keys of hades are the superpower of deliverance. We have the authority and the Spirit has the power to unlock the hades of every human soul and to invite that person out of all their hiding places into the knowledge of God.

This is an incredible power, a power moving out from Father and us together.

You see, all human hiding places are centered on the need to belong. “This is where I belong,” whether it be love of country (which is not real, “love of country” is nothing other than love of self), or whether it be addiction to heroin, is the cry of the frightened and lonely self hiding from God.

The false callers of this power of belonging turned into bondage are all the pimps who claim ownership over the hiding soul. Politicians and government officials claiming authority over the masses whether to draft them into their armies or to tax them or to inject them with toxic poisons are all pimps, false callers claiming ownership. They are no different than your local neighborhood heroin dealer or the pimp running a string of lurid women.

All of it is false belonging; all of it is hiding from God. “Babylon the Great” is all false belonging. We have the authority to bring all that down.

Think of that. The beast/Babylon is the first anti-Christ power to fall powerless to the ground, preceding demons bound by chains and death swallowed up by life. The beast is all the voices among humans screaming “You belong to me/us.”

Who can wage war against the beast? (Revelation 13). We can. Our call – “You BELONG to Jesus” is so much greater than all the screams of all the powers in this world that they simply perish when their empty call cannot keep hold of their victims.

Forgiveness allows God to enter into the knowledge of each person, but devotion to God and not to any other belonging is what invites God to become publicly seen and known among us.

Proving Abundance
The kindness of God leads you into repentance (Romans 2).

Abundance is the nature of the Father.

I wanted to give so much to my children. I’m not talking about spoiling them; I mean qualities and experiences and understanding, tools and training, meaningful things to do, practical skills, rich cultural experiences, and so on. I gave what I could, but I carry a deep sorrow that I was not able to come even close to all I wanted them to have.

I am this way because I am created like God. And I carry the same sorrow the Father carries because I live in a world of scarcity. Yet inside of all my own inability, I must give thanks, for all, even the scarcity, was good. That is, Father and I together turn all that seemed to be loss into the outcome of pure and intrinsic goodness.

Turning loss into goodness is an essential part of our superpower of abundance.

Giving thanks, then, is a most incredible power.

We could say that there are four curses coming out from Adam’s wicked contempt upon the earth and upon all humans. First is the curse of self-condemnation, the hatred of being like God; second is the curse of hiding, that is, of false belonging. Third is the curse of scarcity upon the earth; and fourth is the curse of death upon the human body.

The power of abundance breaks the curse of scarcity upon the earth. It is the power of giving thanks. It is a power in our mouth and in our heart.

Then [the true Jerusalem] shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before all nations of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I do to them; they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and all the prosperity that I provide for it (Jeremiah 33:9).

Contrast this with Babylon at the end of Revelation 18, that nothing and no one will be found in her anymore.

This is the power of abundance able to defeat the cruel scarcity of all false belonging.

The source of all abundance is the earth, with heaven freely breathed upon it. When God says, “I will open for you the windows of heaven” (Malachi 3), He follows it immediately with blessing coming up from the ground.

We have the power to heal the earth that it might produce abundance even during this present time of great famine and scarcity coming upon all.

Think of that – we have the power to heal the earth, that it might bring forth an abundance of good for all.

The life and resources of the earth are already capable of bringing forth far more abundance than is known. James mentions, however, “those who destroy the earth.” We think immediately of the evils of today, genetic engineering, chemical poisoning, man-made radiation, and so on. But of truth, humans in their war against one another have always attacked the earth equally as much as attacking each other. The original prosperity in America came from liberty, that is, from people no longer attacking each other with violent obligation and control.

Of truth, healing the earth as outward abundance goes hand in hand with healing the human as inward abundance.

I am presently in the process of bringing healing to a small patch of Texas land. This is not a physical work only, but a spiritual work always together with the physical. Healing, whether of the earth or of the human physic or of the human soul, typically requires an initial pain, first, as the abscess of hurt is pierced so that the poisons can drain out before any healing can begin.

On my land (heaven and earth together), I cut down some trees to give sunlight to my garden spaces, I am cutting the earth in order to shape it into garden beds, while at the same time, picking out all kinds of human debris from it, including lots of broken glass. I finally had to resort to ant poison lest our yard and garden and house be overrun. My hope is not to need such stuff in the future.

And in all of this shaping process, some of which at first hurts, I bless the earth in the Spirit and call the outpouring of the heavens upon it, and I work ever towards the increase of life in the soil that it might produce an abundance of highly nutritious food for us as well as a home of abundance for all the living creatures in it.

This work is personal and local, an essential part of the whole, yet it is in the larger sphere of the earth as a whole that the great confrontation between the false prophets and the true takes place.

These are possessing the authority to the heavens, that no rain should fall in the days of their prophecy. And they have authority over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every wound or blow as often as they might desire (Revelation 11:5-6).

This “authority to strike” is as the blade piercing the abscess that the poisons might flow out, that healing might come.

Yet the beast also claims authority over the whole earth, and indeed, is granted such authority by God for a short season.

And I saw another beast… And it exercises all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and causes the earth and those dwelling in it, that they will worship the first beast, of whom its death wound had been healed. And it works great signs, so that it should even cause fire to come down out of heaven into the earth in the face of men. And it deceives those dwelling upon the earth (Revelation 13:11-13).

The contention, the final showdown, is found in authority over earth and heaven, both at the same time.

I love the climax in the story of Neryn, when all turned to the true caller, with the result being that the false caller, no matter all his effort, was no longer heard by anyone.

The earth has responded to the false and not the true because the true voice has not yet spoken. We are that true voice, and when we speak, the false will see the earth turning from it to us.

And the serpent cast out of his mouth after the woman water as a torrent, so that he might cause her to be carried away by a flood. And the earth quickly rescued the woman and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood (Revelation 12:15-16).

Do you see how John’s vision makes use of all these metaphors and positions these very powers coming through us that are and will be victorious over all that hurts.

The completion of the earth is – and the knowledge of God will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. That knowledge of God, God Himself in Person now seen and known by all, is coming through us, His highway. And it is the earth that is covered by that knowledge.

Of truth, even in the present ability of the earth to bring forth abundance when humans work peacefully together with it there is yet great lack. What the earth will be in beauty and abundance when God is known everywhere we can only dream.

Here is the critical point, however. This healing coming to the earth and to the heavens outpoured upon it comes only through Father and us together, through the power of the Devoted Spirit directed by our human authority.

Proving Healing
Resurrection is the end of healing. Our physical bodies swallowed up by life is the completion of wholeness and the final and most critical PROOF of the Lord Jesus, faithful and true, that He is what God says.

Healing, then, is a process that begins with hurt and ends with resurrection. And hurt happens to our souls equally with our physics. We can understand that hurt also works against our spirits, for the end of hurt is the driving away of our spirits from our physics, that is, death.

Healing is the restoration of wholeness, spirit, soul, and physic, BUT – healing always has one goal, one destination towards which it drives – the resurrection.

It is essential to our humanity that all healing be a process, for each individual MUST BE involved in that process. This is integrity and respect.

For God to impose a totality of healing, that is resurrection, upon anyone apart from their own understanding and choosing, apart from their giving thanks inside of and for the sake of all things, apart from their surrender and letting go, apart from their acceptance of Jesus as every Word God speaks into the definitions of their own hearts, word by word, apart from their placing the Lord Jesus upon every moment of their life – if God were to impose healing in that way, it would be as rape. Doing such a thing never enters God’s mind.

Yet most Christians imagine that God will bring total healing in exactly that way, completely separate from their own involvement in that process.

But the human psyche is much too complicated, and if a total change happened instantaneously, going from total hurt to total healing, without any permission given or any understanding of Word entering the heart, without any knowledge of sharing life with God, then it would break the human psyche and God would end up with a bunch of looneys who could not know Him at all.

Yet this is how most Christians define death, that, at the moment of death, they depart from a realm that can be only all hurt and instantaneously enter a realm that can be only all bliss, and that it will be “much easier” to know God when “the flesh” is no more. Their purpose always, however, is to keep Jesus far away right now.

The fundamental premise of this belief is that death is far greater than Christ in my heart – death, the ripping apart of heaven and earth, can do what Jesus cannot.

I contend that every Christian continues in the exact same knowing of God and the exact same holding onto hades in which they lived prior to losing the physical part of their form. Those who give thanks before death will give thanks after. Those who mutter and complain before death will mutter and complain after. Those who turn to Jesus in every moment before death will turn to Jesus in every moment after. Those who connect with a “divine” self-exaltation in their imaginations before death will connect with the same after.

I have laid all this out in order to define healing, that healing is a process and that each individual person must be vitally involved with every step of healing.

I know this is true, for God has never done anything in my life apart from my own involvement, bit by bit over time. God does not force me to let go of pain; only I, in response to His Word and His Love, can do such a thing. God cannot put the Lord Jesus upon me; only I can do such a thing and only through faith.

Our superpower of healing, then, can be best known as healing oils, coming upon the pain, soothing it, allowing the hurt to flow out, the essence and aroma of the oil to flow in, and wholeness to come in full understanding, Word by Word.

Life is knowing the Father through knowing Jesus Sent into me. Death is not knowing God. So, if there is no knowing taking place, step by step, no placing of Jesus upon all that I am, then there is no healing, regardless of any outward appearance.

To open the eyes of the blind, to raise up those in wheel chairs, to heal from cancer, without imparting the knowledge of God through knowing Jesus Sent is false and even cruel. Every miracle of healing that happened through Jesus during His ministry was meant to bless that person, yes, but far more, to turn their eyes to Him so that they might listen to and regard His words. Every miracle of healing was meant to connect that person with the Father.

Our power to heal, then, is an incredible power.

But to exercise this power as God intends we must know the person being healed. And to know them, we must ask, as Jesus did. – What do you want me to create for you? We must seek and obtain the willing participation of the one needing healing – as God indicated to Moses, “No, you can’t fix them by taking their place in wrath. Instead, you must walk them step by step, year by year, all the way into the Promised Land.”

Running around, waving your hands, and having all sorts of miracles taking place, people being healed and even raised from the dead, just because you are a “manifested son of God” is the ludicrous antithesis to the sons of God bringing true healing into people’s lives, one person and one step at a time.

Indeed, the outward and larger showdown takes place over the earth and the heavens upon the earth and between the false witness of the beast and the true witnesses of Christ, yet the confrontation over healing the individual person, step by difficult step is the final insidious place where the false rises up to lay its claims. This is the religious side of things, the argument that it is wrong to heal – because healing takes place only in heaven, because the person has not “repented” – because, because.

Indeed, it is here that I find the deepest objections to what I teach, coming out from fellow Christians, a theology that despises all salvation now, that is, all healing now. Temporary healing is allowed, but Nicene “redemption,” falsely enamored with the ‘wrath of God,’ does not allow for all healing now.

The hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those having heard will live (John 5:26).

This is the same pattern, the calling of the true Voice breaks the power of all the false voices, and those who hear the true Voice, spoken through the Church, His body, will rise into life, that is, into total healing.

Proving Love
Love is the goal, that is, to bring all into Love – rooted and grounded inside of love. And love is the cause, that is, the drive and determination of the Lover – The Son of Man is come to seek and to save what was lost.

Love is also the authority. Those who love, rule.

Each of the four superpowers described thus far are all about finding the lost, winning their hearts, and leading them, step by stumbling step, into all the knowledge of God, that is, into Love.

The gates of hades cannot stand against us, yes, but it is Love alone that sends us through those gates into the lost horrors of the human soul hiding from God.

Contempt is the enemy of love – indeed, contempt is the real false prophet.

The moment one gets their eyes on the offense, which is very offensive and stupid and ‘contemptible,’ most certainly, and feels contempt and thus reaches with Adam for command and control in order to “make things right,” then love is lost and all authority flees away. Now you have one perverse soul beating against another perverse soul.

Love possesses all authority because Love sees only the good speaking of Christ and the glory hidden behind all the smoke. The false loses because Love pays no attention to it.

And this is why the true superpowers of God never show up in most human stories, because moving in true power costs us everything – life laid down and love poured out.

To refuse contempt is to turn with Jesus to the task of winning life for this one.

This is the work and the authority of Love. This is the Father, Himself in Person, now revealed through us.

The other four superpowers are all involved with redemption, with rescuing those in need from themselves as well as from all the false voices claiming them as their own. These powers are involved with bringing that which is cursed and lost into blessing and life, that is, into love. Yet what are the powers of Love that will be released through us in all the ages to come?

Let’s find out together.
