23. Thoughts on the Present Crisis

I would like to ramble through three things concerning the present state of the world, first, to give some understanding of what is real, second to impart hope in God, and third, to enlist you in the mighty task at hand.

First, we have never before seen the levels of censorship that are now being exercised against those who speak contrary to the “official” line. Since I want to continue sending out the Christ Our Life letters as well as keeping my website online, I will not refer directly to a particular medical fear that has gripped the world, but I will call it the V-fear.

I hate lying and the manipulation of facts for a hidden purpose. I require sound reasoning out from verifiable facts along with evidence of personal integrity over time. For twenty years I have found www.lewrockwell.com to give the best overall understanding of the world inside my stated requirements. The site contains many good articles over the last couple of months regarding this topic of V-fear. Let me recommend two YouTube channels as well. The first is James Corbett of www.thecorbettreport.com. I really like this guy, I understand the world as he does, and, in fact, I have yet to hear him say something I would disagree with. Then, there is Tony Heller at https://realclimatescience.com/. His primary topic is climate science, but he has turned the same clear reasoning from facts towards the present V-fear.

Let me be specific. If you take the number of people either world-wide or in any country or region, who have died of respiratory illnesses from January to April, 2020, you will find that this year is a normal or average year. No more people are dying of lung difficulties this year than in previous years, with the same time-period in 2018 showing a larger number of deaths than this year. These deaths, then, are NOT news. People die, and they die mostly in hospitals and the number of those dying this spring is normal. Altering the cause of death from one thing to another in the official record has no actual meaning.

This means that the V-fear is an invention being pushed by government and news agencies world-wide, almost in lock-step. There is a huge amount of incompetence among government officials, of course, but the V-fear is not the result of incompetence, but of evil design.

If, three months ago, you had been asked if the politicians could order the shutdown of all churches worldwide, all at the same time, and that all Christians would obediently accept that shutdown for an unknown period of time, you would have said, “Not possible.” Yet that is our present reality.

A picture or video in and of itself is not what people “believe.” Rather, they believe what they are told that picture means by the “experts.” It’s called “spin.” Let me use the example of bodies piling up in NYC hospitals. This sounds terrible, until you understand the facts.

Let’s say, for reference purposes, that a particular hospital sees an average of 200 deaths per day and that they maintain a morgue able to hold 300 bodies. In the normal process of things, there would be a regular transfer of around 200 bodies each day to local funeral homes, and then on to normal cemeteries. BUT, the local politician decrees that all funeral homes are to be closed as “nonessential” businesses. What happens to the bodies?

In two weeks, you would have 2500 more bodies at that one hospital than its capacity to hold them. If the news channels reported the real reason why, then the local politician would be seen to be an idiot. And so the spin – “It’s all the new V. “ Then, by emotional association, viewers everywhere equate the piling up of bodies with the V-fear. It’s really nothing more than the simple magician’s trick – sleight of hand – get the audience to look at the wrong thing and to imagine that your interpretation is the only possible one.

There is no actual V-cause of the present V-fear; it is entirely a spun story.

But why?

There are two reasons, one is necessity and the other is purpose.

World-wide debt built on debt built on debt, with the amounts being owed greater than the entire world output many times over, with funny money being created by central banks right out of thin air, means that the present financial system is coming down. Babylon (the name given, actually, to the financial district of Manhattan), is falling. The last thing those who run this world want is for anyone to blame the central banks and the governments they serve as the cause of the calamity, even though they are its only cause.

It is a simple thing to make everyone think that the V-fear is the cause of the collapse that was already happening and that the central banks are our “savior,” especially with all the “free” money flowing out to everyone.

The purpose, however, is totalitarian control and a massive reduction of the human population, with the intent of seeing Christianity removed, or, at the very least, as we shall see in a bit, a massive, but ultimately empty counteraction against the power of the sons of God before they begin their challenge.

In short, the world economic system is now broken, and, partly because of the extent of the debt upon which it was built, it cannot be restored. There will be no return to pre-V-fear life. Innumerable companies throughout the world who have worked faithfully to put into your hand the things you need to live, are no longer in existence. The crazy thing is that they don’t know it yet. By mid-summer they will.

No lives have been “saved” because of the shutdown. The numbers of those who will die BECAUSE OF the shutdown will be beyond what we want to consider. At the present time, a few hundred million people in India and another few hundred million people in Africa are facing immediate starvation.

Here in Houston, Texas, we still have food in the stores. Nonetheless, nationwide shortages are on their way. Meat plants are shutting down, mostly because of fear, and the necessary workers who normally come from Mexico to harvest crops are not allowed in. The crops are in the fields across the southern US, but have no one to harvest them.

Now, please understand that I am not attempting to “predict the future,” even a couple of months ahead. I continue to hope that things will come back a bit towards normal before long, a hope that is increasingly being assailed by the facts.

I have a very definite purpose in quickly laying out the present world crisis, and it is not to increase fear. My thought is always two things. First, “God, what are YOU doing and about to do,” and second, “Lord Jesus, Your Church all across the earth.”

And so the hope which I would impart to you is that all of this is necessary for God to cause the massive transition that is even now taking place as a Kingdom of Life is arising through us to swallow up all the causes of death in this world.

I want to make our hope very specific. For that to happen, however, you must remove ALL your trust from the governments and the media inside your world. The image of the beast is lying about everything. If anything is being pushed as “the truth” in the present world, you can be sure that it’s not true at all.

And above all, do not join the “blame game.” For instance, I’m sure that the Chinese government is up to no good in every direction, but I am also sure that it does not measure against the US government in violent destruction and evil intent. There is one purpose only in the present “blame China” spin, and that is war. Do not be party to the demons going forth to bring all nations into war. Stay away from “blame.”

And I heard another voice out of heaven, saying: “Come out of her My people, so that you may not have fellowship together with her sins and so that you may not receive out of her afflictions and beatings. For her sins have been joined together as far as heaven, and God has considered her injustices. Give back to her as she has given back; and double to her twofold according to her works…” (Revelation 18:4-6).

My purpose is not to define “Babylon,” but to underline the importance of “Come out of her My people.” Most of our brethren, by seeing themselves as part of this present world system, ARE fellowshipping together with her sins.

Babylon, however, is not free exchange. In fact, free exchange based on mutual agreement is one of the major targets of the present assault against humanity. Let me explain; every one of us has need of many material things in order to live. There are two ways for us to obtain what we need from others. One way is by mutual agreement and peaceful exchange, the other way is by coercion and the threat of violence. The first is normal human life as God intends inside this present in-part life experience. The second is “Babylon,” the system of violence at the center of which is the modern state.

If you buy a package of cookies from Walmart, that is an exchange based entirely on mutual agreement and it is conducted entirely in peace. When you send your child to the public school, you are seeking to obtain what you need by the use of coercion and the threat of violence. The first is God’s provision for you; the second is Babylon, who consumes all by violence and mixes all those children in her cup of prostitution (if we want to use the graphic images of John’s vision).

We don’t want to become religious about these things, however, for we are led by the Spirit and all our steps are ordered by our Father, even if we, at times, make necessary use of the violence of the state.

What we do not do is see the violence as anything other than what it is.

Free-market exchange is being blamed for the present crisis, and the fox in the den, that is, human political government, is being presented as the “answer.” Never forget that Chicken Little had every reason to fear the day, for she was torn to pieces and eaten that very afternoon, by the one who claimed to be the “answer” to the falling skies, and who was probably the one who threw the acorn in the first place, or, at the very least, spun the V-fear as the “falling sky.” (I hope you piece together my riddle.)

I want to look, now, at God’s intentions, overall, yes, but in particular God’s intentions through us. We are looking at something entirely beyond our scope or capability – yet we cast ourselves utterly upon a God who does what He speaks.

The instantaneous and almost total shut-down of all churches world-wide is not a small or incidental thing. Neither is it happening outside of God’s intentions. And make no mistake, we are in the final years of this age, the completion of all that is death, even as it is being swallowed up by life.

In one mighty stroke, God has severed His people worldwide from their support systems, both religious support and economic support. Inside of that, only one support system appears to be available and that is the electronic and digital connections of the world wide web. Although we do not move in fear, still, we know that the total control of the beast world system comes to all through that apparent support system.

You see, I am right now faced with this contortion. I would rather order our groceries online and pick them up curbside than go into the store wearing a mask of submission to evil. Yet I much prefer walking through the grocery store myself.

We know that, at a certain point, a massive decision will come to every single human remaining alive. Do you receive or do you refuse your local government’s identification system? To receive it, something simple and normal – cell phones, debit cards, vaccinations, all convenient, simple, and proven (right?), will ensure a return to a somewhat “normal” life. To refuse it is to be cut off from all ability to function in the digital system. In short, you will not be doing any buying or selling. There will be no “free exchange” available to you inside that coercive and violent system.

[Again, I am presenting these things, not as "predictions," but simply as what is, in fact, being presented as solutions by those with power in this world. And this present crisis could well be a trial run, which I would much prefer.]

I want to come back to the two things that come to me in response to every new piece of information regarding the present crisis. First, “God, what are YOU doing and about to do,” and second, “Lord Jesus, Your Church all across the earth.”

Except the second is what I want to talk about first.

You and I KNOW that we care about the Church of Jesus Christ, hundreds of millions of believers in Jesus, all across this earth, above our own lives, BECAUSE we know that Jesus lives inside our hearts. We know it is true; we have no need to “feel” anything.

Christians all over the world are inside of the greatest crisis of their lives; the problem is that they don’t quite know that yet.

I would like you to join your heart with mine right now, Christ with Christ, inside the mighty concern of the Lord Jesus Christ over all upon this earth who call upon His name. We have no need to define who that is – the Lord knows those who are His.

We cannot do anything more than believe in Jesus, that we share Hheart with Him. And to extend our own spirits entirely by faith, out over the needs of our brethren.

Our task is not to save the world right now, but to be that place of protection for God’s precious Church and to be to her the nourishment that she must have in order to live.

I mentioned how important the story of Nehemiah has been to me, in his single-minded pursuit of the one task God had given to him, to build that wall of protection around Jerusalem.

I want you to join with me right now in the confident expectation in God, that Father and us together are turning every moment and circumstance of our lives towards our little part of building that massive wall of separation from death all around our brethren in every country.

Believe with me that the Jesus of our heart is already ALL COMPASSION and ALL sustaining provision out from us over His Church.

We are under no delusion that we ourselves can do anything, for we have no sufficiency in ourselves. Rather, we KNOW that our God moves into our world entirely through our CONFIDENCE that He does.

And the woman escaped into a desolate place where she has a place there having been prepared by God, so that they should nourish her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. – And the two wings of a great eagle were given to the woman so that she could fly into the desolate place, into her place where she is nourished there for a time, and times, and half a time away from the face of the serpent (Revelation 12:6 & 14).

I make no attempt to “predict the future.” And I have shared what these things mean to me in The River of Life – here: “A Place Prepared,” and in other chapters.

Make no mistake about it, however. The target of the evil one, and those whom he serves in our world today, is the CHURCH – to remove the name of Jesus from the memory of living humans.

As we saw, Revelation 12 shows the evil one attacking the Church of Christ in five ways. In all five ways he fails utterly. BECAUSE – !

I don’t care about “theology” or the “interpretations of prophetic Scripture.” I care about one thing, through the Jesus of my heart, and that is God’s people in every region of the world, all whom He has given to Jesus.

They are in desperate, desperate need, in more ways and to a greater extent than they presently know. That need begins with food to eat and ends with protection from a false commitment to the beast. And in between is the overthrow of the serpent’s gospel out from their minds and the rushing of millions into the Feast of Tabernacles fulfilled as the Church.

And so I am busy believing God, inside my inconsequential reach and my searing inabilities, that out from my faith in Him, a wall would proceed, brick by brick, out around my brethren in every place on earth, to protect them, to give them the nourishment of God inside the darkness.

And by “wall,” I mean a barrier in the heavens that will have immediate and tangible effect on circumstances in the earth.

The issue is heart. The issue has always been heart.

Finally, I want to turn to the first thing that comes to my mind with each new fact of discovery concerning the present crisis. “God, what are YOU doing and about to do?”

I have been studying the world with passionate intensity since I was five. I have believed in God showing Himself through us His people, and I have understood how evil works in this world, since I was twenty. I read voraciously and I have a glance at anything with an open mind, though my requirement for sound thinking from evidence is strict and perpetual. Any claim that does not fit evidence, I regard no more. I understand metaphors and symbolism, hidden meanings and prophetic word in all of their interpretations. I understand science and how it works and how it is woven into non-science.

In all my years of study, I have never observed anything that shocked me to the core like something I saw this week. It left me gasping for breath, almost but not quite in fear, and I am still trying to process what it means for you and me personally.

Understand that Netflix is owned and controlled by Pharisees and that the writers of the more awful and wicked stuff found on Netflix are primarily Pharisees. As Paul said, Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake… (Romans 11:28).

I had removed Netflix from my viewing because there was so little on it that was not wicked. For reasons I will not go into, it’s back on my Roku, if only for a short time. There are a small number of things on it that are yet worth viewing. But, as I was scrolling through the options, I saw a show made in this year of our Lord, 2020, titled “Messiah.”

I paused and allowed the preview to play. I listened to the words spoken, and then I read through the titles and descriptions of about a dozen episodes in the series. I have no intention of looking back at it or of viewing any of the episodes. I recommend that you do not do so either. You don’t want the whisperings of the evil one in your mind.

I have observed, particularly since a certain event in the fall of 2001, that there is an underlying portrayal of “truth” written all through pop culture, and especially movies, that shows us that the demons and their masters KNOW what God is doing and is about to do and they KNOW what Satan requires of them, and they are weaving that knowing all through everything produced in the media today.

Actually, I saw that first in 1975, before the Lord returned my heart back to Himself, when we went to see the rock opera, Tommy, by The Who, in a theater in Portland, Oregon. “Now it is time for you to follow me.” I told my unsaved friends, “That’s anti-Christ, calling everyone to himself.” They thought I was a complete idiot.

It was only a year later, when I was twenty, that I first began to ponder, not what anti-Christ is doing and about to do, but what God is doing and about to do. And since I was twenty, I have pondered in my heart the meaning of the second witness of Christ inside our present world. And since I was twenty, I have longed with all my heart to be a part of God’s provision for His people in their hour of desperate need, though I had no idea how such a thing could be.

Let me ask you a simple question. The writers of this Netflix show have not listened to Sam Fife. They have no insight into the ponderings of my own heart. So how on earth do they KNOW to reflect and mirror those things in their present show?

There’s only one answer. They KNOW what’s up; they know what’s coming. And they are doing everything in their power to break people away from the arising of life and love, to make people fear and accuse the second witness of Christ.

And those dwelling upon the earth rejoice over them and make merry and will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets have examined by torment those dwelling upon the earth (Revelation 11:10).

The fulfillment of these things is coming out from what is perceived to be “normal” in our world today. And many who think of themselves as “Christians” will be part of this victory over the revelation of Christ.

Let me describe what I perceive regarding this Netflix show. I am drawing only from the preview and the episode titles and descriptions.

The “Messiah” begins in present day Damascus, where he saves the city from destruction and then leads his followers out into the desert. (A direct reference to Paul’s conversion and the revelation of his gospel in the desert.) Then he confronts the government of Israel before going to Texas – Why Texas? – where he converts a good pastor and all his church to his cause. (Texas is possibly the most Christian state in the union and thus represents that solid Christian opposition to the evil one.) Most of the episode titles are statements from the New Testament that are of great importance to us. I have no doubt that their meanings are twisted inside the story line.

The young man who is the “Messiah” speaks of God as “My Father,” in the same gentle tone that I also speak those words. Yet he is not the hero of this story, but the culprit, a “con-man.” The hero is a female CIA agent, and we “know” from much television propaganda that government agents are always the good guys. And non-government persons are always suspect.

This CIA agent is swayed by the young man and for a season “believes” in him. After doing great miracles in Texas and gaining multitudes of naïve Texans as followers, he then challenges the president of the United States, getting his attention, and the attention of the whole world.

Afterwards, the ever valiant CIA comes to the rescue, exposes the wickedness of the “Messiah,” and saves everyone from mass delusion. (There may likely be twists in the actual story-line that I don’t know anything about, but I don’t want to know anything more.)

I have noticed shows recently about the “resurrection,” in which those who return in the resurrection are sinister and dark and have come to enslave the human race. And yes, this is exactly what Satan and his masters want everyone to believe.

These things are real and we are in them in our world today.

The parallels between what was shown in the Netflix show and what I believe God is doing and is about to do through us in these last days were staggering. Yet it was clear to me that everything would be twisted away, in the show, from the gentleness of our Savior and turned into accusation and fear.

The world will be frightened of the revelation of Christ through us because they are being PROGRAMMED to be frightened. And those Christians who sit and watch television news ARE being programmed in exactly the same way.

Understand this, as God does protect His people through us, their gathering together unto Christ will be accused by the world as the murder of all the people who are dying at the hand of the Beast. That’s what the present V-fear is all about. – “If you gather together with other believers in Jesus, look at how many people you are killing.” – And I am not making that up, that is what is being said, almost in unison, all over the world.

I have no desire to be a “doom and gloomer.” I know, however, that God reveals Himself as He is through us as we are INSIDE of what is real on this earth. God does not reveal Himself inside the fantasy and science fiction scenarios so popular in the Christian imagination, or in any definitions of “God bless America,” or “Jesus and the J’s” etc.

Inside myself, I am a very little man. In the face of any strength of forehead, Christian or non-Christian, I am instantly overwhelmed. When the actuality of any outward God-confrontation penetrates my ability to dream, I shrivel up even more.

Nonetheless, for fifty-one years, I have said with Frodo, “I will take the ring, though I do not know the way.” For forty-five years I have said with Isaiah, “Here am I, send me.” For forty-two years I have hoped beyond hope that God would, somehow, make me a Joseph in the provision of word for the sake of His people.

(And I don’t think I reference myself to promote myself; rather, I contend with God concerning His Word. I cannot fulfill His Word; He alone must act. But God acts only through a bull-dog faith that will never let Him go concerning His Word.)

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision – But the Lord will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel (Joel 3:14 & 16). (Read all of Joel inside your present understanding, yet with two stipulations. First, always interpret “Jerusalem” and “Israel” as the Church, according to Paul’s gospel. And second, don’t try to “figure out” what these things mean. Just let the words God speaks flow through your heart and soul.)

Let’s bring all of this back into the Church of Christ across the earth right now, facing her hour of greatest trial, completely unaware of the great danger in which she stands and the only way of God out from that danger.

There must come an Elijah moment. A decision must come before each one to throw out the gospel of the serpent and to run with all joy into the gospel of Christ our only life in all that it means as the Church together.

I have no idea at all what further role God has for me in these last days. The dreams of my heart and the realities of my outward form could not be further apart. If my only role will be to believe God together with you for the sake of His people, then I am more than content, for I have long since found all I have ever really wanted and that is – Father with me. And I have seen the promise of the Church in the faces of those dear ones who gather with me on Zoom each Sunday morning, along with all of you, my readers, who are Christ Jesus as you, exactly as He wishes.

All I am able to do is what I have always done, that is to put the word God speaks out in front of our eyes, and to say, with you, “God does what He speaks and He does it through us together.”

Our enemies, both angels and humans, know what is coming and they know they have already lost. Part of our hope, then, is that we also know that they know and that all their fiery, twisted, and violent opposition is nothing more than their last scream in the darkness, a tale of sound and fury, meaning nothing, as the Bard says.

The greater part of our hope, however, is that Jesus lives inside our hearts and reveals the Father through us, through our precious fellowship together.

The “big things out there” are the little things to our Father. The big thing to Him is sharing our hearts with us, that is, Jesus.
