17. Believers Together as Bread

We are using the furniture of the Holy Place as a description of God's purpose for our life together as the Church and as the entrance of the revelation of Father into creation.

For that reason, while the furniture of the Holiest, the Ark of the Covenant with the Mercy Seat upon it speaks of each of us as individuals, the Table, Lampstand, and Altar of Incense speak of us together as the Church.

We see that Moses, once the Holiest was covered by the Veil, then set the Table of Showbread into its place first before the other two furnishings. For that reason, we place knowing life together as the revelation of "bread," of eating and drinking of Christ, as the beginning of our expression as the Church.

Lesson 17.1 From the Holiest to the Table sets forth God's reasons for bypassing all those stuck in "the dealings of God" even while refusing to enter the Holiest, and going straight to the Table of Showbread as He seizes His Church into life. Everything must begin with bread, that is, with Word. Experience must come out of an already established word.

Lesson 17.2 A Pattern of Wholeness uses the text, Patterns of Home, as a powerful pattern describing God's end goal, the Church, whole and complete, Salvation revealed. The lesson describes each one of ten things that make a house a home and applies that concept to our understanding of Salvation and the Church.

Lesson 17.3 Real Sustenance then looks at the outcome of eating Christ as bread together, the quality of life as wholeness, life as it is meant to be.
