6. The Tabernacle Pattern

We are now turning to the Tabernacle of Moses in the wilderness as our primary model for understanding the Covenant, the model and structure used by all New Testament writers in their presentation of the gospel.

Of truth, it is a terrible lack in Christian teaching, this lack of realization and absence of teaching regarding the important role of the Tabernacle as the structure of all theology regarding the Salvation of God. This lack does not exist because the New Testament is vague; on the contrary, the New Testament is clear in its dependence on the Tabernacle for all teaching regarding redemption and salvation.

A student of God's word must know the Tabernacle. That knowledge includes full familiarity with the chapters in Exodus and Leviticus regarding the Tabernacle and its sacrifices. It also includes, for this course, the purchase and use of the Rose Guide to the Tabernacle, which you can find on Amazon or other book sellers.

This course follows the layout of the Tabernacle, but in the opposite direction of the gospel path. We are no longer thinking in terms of "going into" God, but rather, of coming out with God as the Ark of His Covenant into His revelation in all creation.

Lesson 6.1 Tabernacle Layout depicts the physical layout of the Tabernacle with all of its components, using the Rose Guide to the Tabernacle as visible illustration.

Lesson 6.2 From Pillars to Skins investigates the materials used in the various parts of the Tabernacle and their possible meaning inside of New Testament truth.

Lesson 6.3 An Outline of Design then goes through two layouts of the construction and assembly of the Tabernacle, and makes use of the assembly of the Tabernacle in Exodus 40 as the general outline of this course.
