12. The Mercy Seat

The Mercy Seat has become the center point of our salvation and of our walk with God. The Mercy Seat is what we are and what we do.

The most extraordinary reality of that Mercy Seat is that God says, "There I will meet with you." And even more extraordinary (if that be possible) is that we discover that this same Mercy Seat is our own hearts.

The love of God has been shed abroad in your heart through the Holy Spirit given to you.

Lesson 12.1 The Throne sets forth the New Testament evidence as to how it is we can call our own hearts the Mercy Seat of God and the throne of heaven. This is where we sit and where the pillar of fire that is God enters into union with us.

Lesson 12.2 Judgment explores our work as God's throne, how we see all things as Christ in the new and how we judge all to life. It is from the Mercy Seat that we speak Christ into others.

Lesson 12.3 Authority presents our authority to see all that is old as if it is already redeemed and to call forth Christ in the human experience. The ekenosis is now God in us. We remain humans; God is God through us.
