4. Symmorphic Bond

Jesus is the Bond, the Surety, the Mediator of our Covenant with God, and Jesus lives in our hearts, filling our persons with His Person. For that reason, we understand that the Bond of this Symmorphic Covenant takes place as Jesus all through our beings.

Then we see that there is an entire segment of New Testament teaching regarding Jesus as our High Priest, a role which we are referring to as our Symmorphic Bond. This is not Jesus' work as our Redeemer nor as the One living us through death and into life.

Instead, this is the role of Jesus as that Connecting agent, making us part of Father and Father part of us at every point in us and at every point in Father.

Lesson 4.1 Jesus Sent places the Lord Jesus into this role of making us to be One with the Father, that is, Jesus Sent into us. We are looking, here, at the powerful center of Symmorphy, not our union with Christ, but our union with Father through Christ.

Lesson 4.2 The High Priest uses the New Testament model of our High Priest to show how Jesus operates inside of us as this Connecting Bond with the Father. In this investigation we discover that the Greek words of Hebrews actually show us this ongoing work of Jesus inside of us as our immediate Connection with Father.

Lesson 4.3 Energeia is a word study of the Greek word energeia, as it has just recently been opened to us, the might working of God and of Christ inside of all that we are. Because the English word "energize" contains only part of the meaning of energeia, we are making energeia into an English word denoting the incredible power that is constantly at work in us.
