10. The Ark of the Covenant

This entire text is about the Covenant that bind us as one Pperson together with God and He with us. The Ark of the Covenant is the box or vessel in which that Covenant is carried.

When Jesus walked this earth, He was the Ark of the Covenant, the vessel containing the Word God speaks. Yet that same Covenant that is Christ is written with Spirit ink upon all the pathways or our hearts.

You and I are the Ark of God's Covenant; Christ lives in our hearts through faith.

We are placing our study of the furniture of the Tabernacle, beginning with the Ark of the Covenant, into our model of God's purpose for that Ark - that is, Figure 7.2 A Model of the Heart of God Revealed, found on page 99. And thus we discover that the three things placed into this box of wood works together to show us Christ the only life we are.

Lesson 10.1 A Box of Acacia Wood describes the Ark and the materials of which it is made, our human flesh, covered on the inside and outside with God.

Lesson 10.2 Tables of Covenant applies the meaning of the covenant written by Moses on two tablets of stone to the writing of Christ upon our hearts, not as hearts of stone, but as hearts of flesh.

Lesson 10.3 The Budding of Aaron's Rod gives a description of this interesting story in the book of Numbers and how it is that placing ourselves into the knowledge of being filled with all the fullness of God, how laying "all night long" inside of God transforms us out from death and into life.

Lesson 10.4 The Hidden Manna then explores the meaning of Christ written personally upon each one of our hearts, our own personal "hidden manna."
