15. Symmorphosed

Paul's invented word, symmorphosed, is the most important word in human language.

The entire new creation, all that exists by substance now and by appearance beginning with the resurrection, as it comes out from the good speaking of the Lord Jesus, comes first through those who share the same form with the Lord Jesus Christ as the image of the Father.

Symmorphosed is the essence, the center-point of the gospel, God sharing our life together with us, and we sharing His life together with Him.

It is fitting, then, that in the layout of this course, our placing of this largest of all concepts should fit here as we go forth with Father, always as the Holiest, yet taking that Holiest out into the Church, first, and then into all creation.

Lesson 15.1 The Fulcrum presents the illustration of Archimedes and his hypothetical use of a fulcrum able to "move the earth" as a means of understanding what our symmorphy with the Lord Jesus means in the appearance of God in creation.

Lesson 15.2 Taking Possession, then, uses the metaphor of Israel entering into and taking possession of their promised land as a picture of our taking possession of all that Christ is. We possess Christ because Jesus first takes possession of us, including, even, our sin and our shame. In return we take possession of every word God speaks regarding us.

Lesson 15.3 All the People places the crossing of the Jordan into the promised land as the same picture as our passing through the veil into all the possession of Christ. The Ark of the Covenant remained in the bottom of the Jordan, the lowest place on earth, until every single person had crossed over into Christ.
