28.4 Made Complete in One

You had always enjoyed the gathering together in Jesus’ name to worship and to fellowship together. Yet the gathering together you had known before had been little more than an assembly of people on a regular occasion.

Now something was different in your connections with your fellow believers in Jesus. Your connection with them had become God Himself in the form of Love. You knew that God was among you in all ways, not because you felt or saw anything different, but because you were confident that God was, in fact, always among you, connecting you together as members of one another.

No Sufficiency. In your past relations with God’s people, you had always attempted to “appear” godly, so that others might think well of you. At the same time, you had directed an effort, together with the others, to “get God to show up” in your midst. “Holy Spirit ‘come,’” you had sung, as if you were not already one spirit with the Holy Spirit. And so you, with the others, had always before sought to have some sufficiency in yourselves in contributing to “the presence of God.”

Now, any sufficiency in yourself in gathering together with other believers was long in the past. God was with you together, absolutely, without any need for outward “proof.”

Being Christ in His Church. Just as Christ was living as you in all ways, so now you saw that same Jesus living as each one of your brothers and sisters in all ways, regardless. You realized that your commitment was not to your brethren, however, but only to Father, to the revelation of His heart. For that reason, you saw your relationship together with other believers as the consummation of all of Father’s desire.

Therefore you gave freely as Christ towards your brethren, without obligation and with all abundance. And you received freely as you saw Jesus in each of your brethren as Christ to you without obligation and with all abundance. Yet you walked together with one another more closely than you had ever known before. You were members of each other.

Walking Together as Bread. The sharing of word took on a whole new dimension as you walked together in the fellowship of Christ. Not only was the Word Jesus’ own story interwoven with your story, but your stories together began to flow together as part of one another, as a wondrous and varied story of Christ.

Your meals together became as communion services, not by outward form, but by the Spirit of fellowship. Your services together opened the heavens to you in the hidden manna of Christ as each one gave out from the energeia of his or her own supply. You had never before known the full measure of Jesus as Word as you now knew coming out from one another.

Walking Together as Light. As you walked together knowing with all confidence that the Spirit of God was always flowing among you, without any need for outward signs, the outward signs of the Holy Spirit became more and more natural. In every way you had learned to place Christ upon yourself, so now you together placed Christ in that same confidence of faith upon your every interaction together. You took each step together entirely inside the Love of God, knowing that Father Himself was already directing your every step together.

Yet in all your joy, you were free to be honest and real with one another. Pretending had vanished and giving space for one another’s human foibles was simply normal.

Walking Together as Incense. You walked together also as incense, as the sweet flavor of Christ went out from your love of one another. Others saw the love among you and came to taste of that same love, for they saw Christ, not as a bunch of solitary individuals “believing this” or “believing that,” but rather as family. Yet the aroma of Christ among you was not for others, but for Father. Through your confidence together that Father shared all things with your gathering together and revealed Himself in your midst, regardless of any outward appearance, Father Himself was free to show Himself to others through you.

And when you were low, and times were difficult, when you wept together, bearing each other’s sorrows, you KNEW that Father shared all things with you together.

Loving One Another. In your confidence that God Himself in Person was all Love among you in all your connections together, you loved one another. At no point did you “try” to produce love yourself, for that would have been a strange fire to the Lord. When you felt very unloving towards one another, you did not fail to confess that Father was still the only connections taking place among you. You believed in Jesus and in confessing Jesus as the only life among you, you knew Father even against the sight of your eyes and the judgment of the human. And you knew God as you knew one another.

Yet the report of your love for one another went out into every place. Many knew that God was once again walking this earth.

God through You Together. As you loved one another, God began to reveal Himself through your gathering together in ways you had never imagined. The heavens opened, and many saw visions of heavenly things and angels appeared to many. As people came into your midst, many were convicted of Christ and the power of God came upon many and they were healed and filled with the Holy Spirit.

You shared one heart together, and you spoke with one voice together. In the midst of great persecution, you held to your love for one another, God always among you, regardless.

Facing the World. Then there came a moment in the midst of your gathering together when the Lord Jesus spoke to each heart through many voices speaking one word.

You had given your own heart utterly to Jesus five times, that He might reveal Himself through you. Now, Jesus was no longer concerned for you, that you might know Him. Now He was concerned for Father, that God might be known by all.

This beckoning to a sixth place of commitment did not come to you as an individual only. The same beckoning came to each one of you as one body together. “Will you be My face, the face of Jesus, to the darkness?”

Agreement Together. You remember that the sixth time you said, “Yes,” to the Lord, you said it together as one body with your brothers and sisters. In that action of Jesus through you, committed utterly to Father’s Heart, you were sealed into one another forever.

God made you together, in that moment, the full expression of “complete in one,” the revelation of Jesus Christ. Never again did any of you think of yourselves as solitary individuals. You were family together, one body of God.

It was now time for the winds to blow, for Christ Jesus walked this earth again in the full expression of His glory, in the gathering of all unto Him.

Light in the Darkness. As an assembly of believers together, the Church of Jesus Christ, you began to shine as a mighty light in the darkness. The least among you was as bold as a lion, and you together spoke forth the word of Christ revealed with all power.

Great opposition arose against you, threats of screaming rage hurled against you, yet none of it could prevail. The bond of love among you together stood as a mighty fortress wall casting down all that opposed. As you walked together as a light in the darkness, demons fled from many. More and more came to see the kingdoms of this world and the lie of the serpent for what they really are – empty and stupid.

Purifying Fire. The word that went out from you together was a word of purifying Fire, a Word of the Atonement of Christ. “One sacrifice for sins forever!” “Cease from all accusation; speak Christ the only life you are.”

Yet when people saw you as you together spoke “Be reconciled to God,” they saw humans just like themselves, yet without pretense or show. They saw people who had grown up in this world just as they had. They saw people without accusation, loving one another with a pure heart fervently, speaking forgiveness with gentle smiles.

And the Fire consumed all that was unholy and all that opposed, even as coals of fire heaped upon the head.

Calling Forth. In the midst of the Fire of God revealed now through you together, “Father, forgive them,” you called forth Christ into the knowledge of all. Great power came upon you together, and with one voice, you called those things that be not as though they are on one hand, and on the other hand, you called those things that are as they are not.

Jesus became in you together all things given of God, and you prophesied Christ, you prophesied a universe of life flowing out of your bellies. You prophesied an invisible God made visible; you prophesied God seen and known by all.

Cleansing Water. And from your bellies together, out through the speaking of your mouths together, a River began to flow. Remember how you were caught in that River.

You remember watching with your own eyes as the false appearance of death was swallowed up in the true appearance of life. And you saw that river of life as it poured out from you together, life laid down and love poured out, cleansing all things, making all things holy and true. You saw healing taking place all around you, the transformation of many, hatred giving way to love, sorrow giving way to joy, death giving way to life.

That Final Wall. And in the midst of that flowing River, you hit up against that final barrier to God made known. For you see, even as the Rivers had begun to flow, still you walked entirely by faith, entirely against the sight of your eyes and the judgment of the human. Christ was being revealed through your dying mortal flesh.

That final wall, as you remember, was your physical bodies, still mortal, still dying, still under Adam’s curse. You regarded your bodies, still dead, and you did not give heed to that death. Then, for the seventh and final time, the Word of the Lord arose inside of Jesus inside of you, “Will you be Father revealed?”

As If You ARE. Will you walk as if you are the embodiment of God, even while your eyes do not see? Will you put immortality upon yourself; will you walk as if you are immortal now? Will you put incorruptibility upon yourself; will you walk as if you are sealed utterly into the being and nature of God now?

Will you walk in the absolute confidence that you ARE what God looks like, that God IS revealing Himself, making Himself known to all through you together, fully complete in one? Will you BE God among you? Will you love one another? Can God be part of His creation entirely as you?

Transformed. You walked together, shoulder to shoulder, arm in arm, sharing heart together. Not one of you would be left behind; each one was most precious to all. And thus together, you spoke the word of Jesus, “Yes, Father, all things are subject to you. Be all in all.”

Even as you together spoke those words, having walked together in all ways as if you ARE, the most incredible thing in all the history of the universe happened to you. Your bodies were swallowed up into LIFE! In that moment your eyes were opened wide and you saw all things as they are. You saw a universe of life only. And you laughed and laughed with all joy, for it was exactly as you had expected, exactly as God had spoken, exactly as you had believed.

Your Present Glory. In that moment, the proving of your faith, more precious than perishing gold, through fire refined, was found into praise and glory and honor inside the unveiling of Jesus Christ; whom, not having seen, you love, into whom up until that moment, though not seeing outwardly, yet you had believed, exulting with joy inexpressible and filled with glory. And in that moment, you received the full completion of your faith, the salvation of your souls, Christ the only reality you are.

Yet your laughter only continued, for you were the same human person as you had always been, and Jesus was the same you had always known, the joy of your own heart, you in Him and He in you. Life as it was meant to be, and in that life together, Father entered His creation, laughing and loving and embracing all.

The Covenant. Seven times you had dipped into the Jordan, into the lowest place on earth. Seven times you had humbled yourself inside the All-Carrying One. Seven times you had said, “Yes, my Lord Jesus.” Seven times God had transformed you from the inside out, from glory to glory.

And now your Covenant is complete, with God through Jesus, and with one another. A Symmorphic God now shows Himself as He is to all, as part of His creation, as you together, His Body, the fullness of Jesus who fills all in all.

And you together walk together with Father into unending adventure and joy.
