10. Every Member's Supply

Ephesians 4:16, every member's supply contributing to the construction of God's dwelling place in the Church, is one of the most phenomenal verses in the Bible, but a verse that has hardly any place at all in regular Christianity.

Yet God's house is built only as each member gives freely out from Christ as them to the other members, not of the Church universal, but of the local assembly of believers. This giving, however, is entirely reciprocal, one to the other, back and forth. For this construction program to operate, every member of the local assembly must be vitally involved with every other member, both in giving and receiving.

Lesson 10.1 Comprehending Ephesians 4:16 takes apart the Greek words of this primary verse to see what God actually says. We discover the incredible active and energeoing involvement of Christ Jesus in and among us together through the practical application of these words.

Lesson 10.2 Practical Reciprocity, then, defines the New Testament concept of reciprocity, a word that occurs many times in many different ways. Reciprocity is a full and equal back and forth between two and among many.

Lesson 10.3 Reciprocal Love takes this meaning of full reciprocity into the practical meaning of loving one another (reciprocity) with a pure heart fervently. This reciprocal love is the only appearance in creation of God made known.
