13. Capturing Light

The Holy Spirit is the life and light of the Church. Without the free-flowing interconnections of Spirit among us, there is no Church.

The Spirit, however, does not move by compulsion or control, but quite the opposite. In order for us to know the power and demonstration of the Spirit among us, we must maintain a welcoming environment as well as work together with Father to direct the Holy Spirit in doing what the Spirit does.

The Spirit also comes into our life together through each individual member. For that reason, the Spirit is free to move only as we are real and honest in all our interactions together.

The Spirit moving through the Body is best describe as the scintiallation of light and color moving through all the facets of a diamond.

Lesson 13.1 The Entrance of Light combines the pattern of home called "capturing light" together with the third most important verse in the Bible, John 7:37-39. The Spirit is light in the Church.

Lesson 13.2 Being Real reiterates the critical importance of our being real towards one another inside of life together. Being real does not mean mistreating one another becasue we "feel" like it. Rather, it means being quick to say, "I was wrong, please forgive me." It also means giving thanks in and for all  things.

Lesson 13.3 The Face of Jesus then uses the metaphor of a diamond to describe the nature of light upon us together as the face of the Lord Jesus Christ.
