19. Ministry by the Spirit

Ministry by the Spirit serves one purpose, and that is to watch over and to give assistance to every individual believer, that they would KNOW Christ as the only life they are. An essential part of that service, then, is the constant recognition, by the one serving, that this little one is Christ Himself.

For this reason, Paul's word, "restore," is simply the best action verb to describe what it is ministry does, and that is to restore each one to the knowledge of Christ living as them.

Yet, out from this ongoing role, ministry also points God's people forward into the next season of the knowledge of God in their lives. Through His ministry, God reveals the next Holy thing inside Himself which He is giving to His creation through His church.

Lesson 19.1 Functions of Ministry describes the role and operations of God's true ministry in His Church, and particularly, in life together.

Lesson 19.2 Restore expands on the meaning of that one action, to restore, and how it might operate inside of a Community of Christ.

Lesson 19.3 All Things Holy, then, points to the role of ministry in leading God's people into all the revelation of Jesus Christ.
