4. The Spirit Gives Life

Just as Word and Spirit cannot ever be separated, for they are One as Christ Jesus, so Spirit and Church, Spirit and believer, Spirit and life together as one body cannot ever be separated.

The Spirit is the impartation of God to every particle of His creation. The Spirit alone causes anything to be alive. The Spirit alone imparts every quality that is God to our lives.

Just as Jesus comes into us in order to connect us with Father, so the Spirit first enters us in order to cause us to know Jesus Sent into us. Thus, this session serves as an introduction to the role of the Holy Spirit all through our experience in Christian community together.

Lesson 4.1 Spirit Word continues the layout of the differing types of words that we speak to one another inside the Church, comparing them to the different types of seed that can be planted in a garden. We speak the good things of Christ into one another with all boldness.

Lesson 4.2 Spirit Body presents the truth that the Church is the Body of Christ by the Spirit filling our interactions together. The lesson introduces the concept of reciprocity, that, while Christ is revealed upon each of our faces, Father is revealed as He is only through our interactions together. God cannot be know except through our reciprocal love.

Lesson 4.3 Spirit Bride continues the explanation of the many New Testament references that combine Spirit and Body, Spirit and Bride always together as one. The Lesson shows that our relationship with the Church is a love story, the romance of marriage.
